I've done a few of these and never had an alignment issue. The hinge has raised part where the bolt fits into and centers the hinge so they have always lined up without a problem.
What if you lifted the window and then they fell out because of the corrosion? We didnt notice until we tried to open and the poles were already extended. The hydraulics in the poles wont lift back up so the window goes back in place
How did you get the bolt off that was rusted!?!?
The bolt that was stuck in the glass I just wiggled it a little with the socket and it came right out

It's a common problem around here rust and corrosion is a real problem for cars in our area.
Mine is so rusted underneath that rubber boot I’m afraid if I touch that 10mm it will collapse in on itself 😭
