I will be 35 in august. I have been a hardcore mushroomhead fan since I was about 12 or 13. It's strange because this is one of my top favorite bands of all time and one of my biggest influences as far as my own art goes, yet I never went out of my way to go see them live. Well, a few years ago I finally got the chance to see them when they opened up for insane clown posse. I was excited to see them. Honestly, having seen ICP several times before, I was really there are more to see mushroomhead. I had fun during the set, and I threw up my double horns, headbanged, and sing along with my favorite songs. But, looking back at it a few years later, it really was a pretty hollow experience. It never really comes to mind when I'm thinking of my favorite concerts that I've been to or telling stories to people about shows I've seen. I rarely mention it because I usually forget about it. Jeffrey, which along with J Man and Schmotz, was not only my favorite element of the band, but basically the backbone, had already left the band. I knew going into the show that I would not be seeing my idol Jeffrey nothing that night. His absence during the set was huge in my mind. Without him it just didn't feel like mushroomhead. The guy that got to replace him is a good sound alike, but he's not jeffrey. Jeffrey nothing is one of the only singers that can basically stand still most of the time he is performing and still be captivating. That's how good he is. Honestly, I don't even think the entire band was there. Mushroomhead has eight members, and there were not eight people on the stage. I feel like a lot of the music was just tracked and not live. And while the black light thing is cool, it's not my favorite gimmick that mushroom head has ever done live on stage. It's cool, but it's not unique enough to basically base a whole show around it. And that's basically what the whole set was. It just didn't feel as epic as mushroom head should feel. It wasn't as eclectic as mushroom head should be. It just felt off. I reached out to Jeffrey on Facebook and told him that I had just heard the news of his departure from the band. It was right after he had left. I had just heard the news when I messaged him. So to be respectful, I didn't ask him why he quit or anything. I just told him that I heard he quit and I was disappointed. But I was a fan of all of his music especially his newer solo stuff like the new psychedelia. So basically as long as Jeffrey nothing is releasing music, I will be listening. And he was kind enough to reply to me. Wish I would have saved that message looking back on it. Lol. Jeffrey is a true gentleman. And he's an amazing artist. And he's one of my biggest influences. I am a vocalist and a Lyricist myself, and Jeffrey nothing along with some other artists really has had a hand in shaping who I am as an artist. It's just so funny now that he's in his sixties and I'm nearly middle-aged myself. And for me, this all started way back in the early 2000s when I was just 12 or 13 years old. Hopefully I'll get to see Jeffrey in concert one day. It will definitely be an effort that I am going to consciously make. Loved the video, great stuff! Keep up the good work! You've got me subscribed now! I'm very much looking forward to diving into all the content on your channel. And, as I have always either lived in Indiana, Kentucky, or Illinois, currently residing in Kentucky... I am close to where you do business. When I get some projects going in the future I may someday reach out to work with you. You seem like the type of person I would want to do business with. Anyway, keep up the great work. I'll be listening. Take care and be safe.
Perfect example in mentioning Fear Factory for a band with a member or two trying to be the boss. Dino has turned many away from FF. And seeing that this interview is a little older now, you’re seeing that same thing since this with Slipknot currently. They can try to deny that all the firing and backstabbing, but hearing how often this seems to have happened, there’s no doubt there’s a business suit in sheep’s clothing in the SK camp. More suppressed band members out there in their own bands and situations should listen to this.
I met Jeff twice. Traveled from Puerto Rico to Tampa state theater two times..and he was great to me as a Fan. Both times Genuine person.. thank you Jeff
@@JamesDavisMcAllister lucky duck! No worries man it was a pleasure to listen to and to be more in the loop about all the shit going on with MRH I didn't know. Keep up the good work dude
I'm forever thankful I finally got to see them in Hollywood, ca in 2014. jnothing was in his chainsaw massacre get up. there was a moment during their set where Jeffery was between vocal parts and he just stared at me coldly the whole time. I actually got fucking scared, lol. It was AWESOME! amazing lineup along with Waylon, the vibe totally changed in the house when these guys switched on. 👏
Hatrix is definitely irreplaceable, but I will give props where they are due, and Steve is also a great vocalist…… I’ve always been a huge MRH fan, mostly of the old school albums, but to hear they had the audacity to treat Jeff who is a founding member with such disrespect leaves a bad taste as far as the band is concerned……. I went to school with half of the band and I’m happy to see them succeed, but I’ll always be a much bigger Jeffrey fan…. To me it was his voice that really made a lot of their songs what they are……
Great interview 💯🙌🏾 been a fan of MRH and Jeffery for years man, broke my heart when he left 🖤 P.S. would love to do an interview if you’re ever in need of guests my man! I’m an Ohioan artist as well , much love 🙌🏾
Man ot is so hard to keep a band together at the best of times. Drugs, mental health issues, physical ailments , family issues, burnout, morale, money, relationships, life happens and it can crush a band. But when you add egos, greed, power issues, creative differences, bad attitudes, backstabbing and other crap that comes from within, you see respect and friendships take a back seat to what was once pure and powerful. A few amongst the many destroyed what meant so much to so many, both for the band and for the fans. I've been there with two bands and I can tell you, it is totally deflating. You feel disappointed, bettayed and the loss of friends, your musical home and what made sense once upon a time. I feel for Nothing and Gravy. It's just a shame.
Jeffrey Norhing is Mushroomhead I live in Cleveland I go all the way back 2 the Hatrix days I will always support Jeff he truly is one of a kind vocalist 🤘💯🤘
On Mushroomheads website it states that Steve Felton founded the band 🙄. That guy is on a serious powertrip. Jeffrey seems like he was The Heart of the group and when he left, so did the feeling or essense of Mushroomhead.
I’m probably thinking too hard about this, lol, but It’s Sort of oddly poetic that he was the (other) guy in the lineup back then that didn’t outright try to hide his face. I mean, yes he obscured and accented it with paint, but you could see his features just fine. I always really found it badass. Never knew there was so much bullshit from the others, damn. :( Anyway, to wrap up my giant, stupid metaphor- knowing now how he was treated, it’s like he was the only one showing his humanity out there, surrounded by smiling, dead-eyed masks. (No disrespect to any of them intended, it’s just an ironic observation.) Resilient and humble person + vivid, artistic imagination=Respect in my book! Killer interview. 🤘🤘
Thanks man I'm gonna show him this comment he'd love to see it. It's a lot worse than we talked about and it's Heart breaking. Thanks for listening man I appreciate you
Well to be fair just saw them at the 02 academy london last week and it was packed and the crowd were pumped. Probably because their set was classic no jackie songs kind of glad she wasn't there.
I could probably get Stitch but i highly doubt Skinny would do one. I would love to have both of em on. Thanks for listening did you listen to my Gravy interviews!! Be sure to like the video and subscribe id really appreciate it!
Mushroomhead isn’t the same without Jeffrey Nothing. He actually was the one that got me into the band at the time, his projects are literally great. It’s just something about his music and his vocals have that touch that I can’t describe, it’s unique and beautiful
Without the head, the band should just be called Mushroom. Jeff has always been a good man. Always real, always genuine, always kind. Before meeting him he looked scary in music videos, now the same videos I see his kindness bleed through the makeup. Met many musicians and bands through the years, but Jeff sticks out the most. He's been through a lot since then, and it breaks my heart. Being a preacher's kid, and seeing one of my heroes of rebellious music grow and evolve back to a mature mindset at a pivotal point where I am realizing how smart my parents actually were, whilst my other "heroes" have died of suicide and self-destruction, Jeff is a breath of fresh air.
First of all, this is a great interview with Jeff. As a 45 year old man, I have been a MRH fan since the very beginning. I have been to roughly 20 MRH concerts; Peabody’s, Odeon, Agora. I am still a “fan” but of the old school MRH. MRH in the last few years has become a shell of what this band once was. This is not what MRH is about. It is a band that calls themselves MRH but is just playing shows live to collect a paycheck. I can’t say I have a favorite MRH era but definitely the early days are what I remember the most. I find them unique because of the fact that they had Jeff, Waylon, and JMann singing. How many bands can say they have at least two singers on stage feeding off of each other. I could go on and on but bottom line, I still listen to the first 3 albums but MRH died to me a long time ago when their ego freak Skinny ruined this band!
@@kevinkoehler6636 hey man I appreciate that. I thought I talked way to much 😅😅 cause I won't lie I was fan girling a little now we are very close friends. Go check out the gravy ones if you haven't already. And thanks for listening.
I think the best way to sum this up is friendship and bussiness leading to the down fall. I loved that mushroomhead members played with each other in other bands and were friends for so long.
Jeff is a really great and kind person . It's really shame what they have done to him. But i'm glad he is okay and he really found his faith and everything . Mushroomhead is more like Maskroomhead by now. Real shame. Great Interview man . Thanks !
I used to bootleg the fuhhhh out of music, coz I got tired of paying $25 for a cd when only one or two songs were worth listening to, it's very disappointing to me finding out a lot of these bands are basically employee's rather than having actual ownership within the band...and definitely makes me want to continue my ways as a pirate, and yeah I get it..you want to run your band as a business, I just can't understand that...should be ran as a family for sure, even if a brand new member comes in they should instantly get a stake in the band, even if it were just crumbs.
Well, jeff did make the band he co founded it and had it taken from him, the new mushroomhead stuff is ok but its built on a bad foundation, if this could happen to Jeff it could happn to any member. I hate to say it but I think the only reason that MH will keep going is they will keep losing the members that dare to question things and new ones will be brought in till they get similar treatment. Jeff and his new band seem far more relaxed and happy and it shows in their music. They are not a business first they are a band first.
I've been a fan of mushroom head since lsd user was on college radio some twenty plus years ago. How did I get to an age like that so fast, crazy . Jeffrey Nothing would be awesome creating like metal bluegrass style album I'd love to hear that
Thats absolutely right, Jeff. THANK YOU! You absolutely gave us some fantastic and original music that had a noticeable impact on a genre as a whole. Youre too modest and humble. Soak it up youve done very well.
I have posted multiple comments on mushroomhead posts that they are pretty much a cover band anymore because they are not the same. I remember you did a show at the agora on the small stage and it was the absolute best show I ever been to with you as a member. I will never go to another show and it suck but it's a reality.
I remember finding out about them when I was 16. I had a chance to see them then. That was 23 years ago so it would have been insane. But of course I was grounded so nope but we must protect Jeffrey Nothing at all costs
First I want to say great interview. Secondly, I second everything being told to you Jeff, from a fan of MRH for over two decades with not one but two X faces on me forever, YOU are MRH and can never be replaced. What MRH has turned into is a fucking shame. Myself and multiple friends listed to the last album together and we couldn't believe what we were listening too, absolute dog shit, what a dumpster fire it is(It pains me to even say that). Your new songs are fucking killer and not only myself but the others like me stand tall behind you. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you have done, your voice has followed me throughout my life and most of my fondest memories include your voice in the back round. Keep your head held high and keep going for as long as you can because we all want so much more Nothing. God Bless You!
In my humble opinion, I do not think the most recent record is bad per se; I just think it is entirely directionless. If each track was it's own independent single, I would view each song very differently.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't like the new MRH album. I've said it once and I'll said it again, JMann is that ONLY redeeming quality of that band now, all thanks to Skinny's narcissism.
I'm 8 months late to hearing this, but this was a fantastic interview and I really appreciate the fan boy in you because it shows you care rather than generic interview questions. Mushroomhead is my favorite band of all time. It's a shame that that happened. I never got to see the OG line up. The first time I saw them , Wylon joined, but Savior Sorrow wasn't out yet. It breaks my heart to know what that band became and why. The one thing I will ask of you, not to stir the pot, please so an interview with the ex guitarist Gravy. Personally, MH went down hill for me when they kicked him out and Pig Benis left with him. I've read in comments that that happened because he was being a jerk, but his side was that he was the only member who didn't drink or do drugs in the band and always wanted to be prepared for the next big step and wanted more for the band. I read in comments that schmotz sells suburus haha
Haven’t listened to the band since Jeffrey left. Sounds like he went thru hell putting up with a tyrant in his own band for way too long. Glad he’s doing well and still making music
There are certain things and specifics I cannot discuss as Theres an open lawsuit. I cannot as anything else other than,he hand picked Scott. Scott was stage hand for MRH. Jeff acknowledges that Scott sounds damn near identical. Hope you enjoyed!!
When first hearing MRH, I was instantly hooked on them (mainly) for this one reason: one of their singers had a voice that had a particular affect that I couldn't get enough of. It was that guy who had his face painted up to look the same as the masks. Hearing of his departure from the band was all that it would take for me to be done as a fan. The reason I became a fan was leaving. Ergo all my interest was leaving. The look with the masks was not the selling point for me. That was only a bonus. Anyone can dress up as a monster. If you don't have the talent, people will see right through it. I'm extremely excited to see what comes next. As well as what comes after that and so on. I will always be there as a fan while I'm clinging to the "Hope that Redefines".
Honestly it's sad that Jeff and Waylon had to leave. I jumped too late into the mushroomhead boat. I was lucky enough to see them live 1 time back in 2014 for the mayhem festival. Jeffrey has that unique signing can never be replaced 🙏
Amazing man for real. One of the most genuine people ive ever met. Thanks for Listening stay tuned for more Podcasts and check out my 2 episodes with Gravy if youd like
Why do people have so much negative emotions to things that happen? Is it that hard to enjoy both sides of the music? I personnally like both Jeff's new music and actually love A Wonderful Life. It is the most perfectly produced MH album, with a new vibe and influence with Steve(FNM style melodies and harmonies and actually did well not to cram Jackie down our throats and incorperated her smoothly). It's NOT old MH, get over it and stop trying to compare it and listen objectively. Jeff sounds as good as he has in a long time, can definately tell there's a sense of relaxation back with him. Wish Tommy was more cleaner and prominate as seems he's faded in the new stuff. The story with Skinny is well known around Cleveland, so you know what, screw the personnal conflicts, it's over, move on, enjoy what each are giving us.
Its more about the moral of story man. The events Jeff have had happen to him are despicable and people need to know the truth. Thanks for listening man I appreciate your support and opinion.
See I’m a little different, I found Mushroomhead more recently, but ended up going backwards through the music and ended up being a huge fan. The music is not the same to me, and it’s really unfortunate the fate that band had. The worst timing, the darn DIVOC lockdowns, i liked the sound of the female voice with Jeffrey, even before that too obviously. Idk… I just feel that band did not receive the recognition they deserved. I’m sure you die hard fans know what I’m trying to say. I do like Slipknot, but I also really dig Mushroomhead. They don’t get their due.
J Mann is out of the band now too. Without him and Jeff the band is done. Skinny destroyed the band. Current Mushroomhead reminds me of the twin towers crumbling.
I remember seeing mushroomhead on the slaughterhouse road tour in Spartanburg sc. One of my favorite shows hands down. Mushroomhead isnt the same without Jeffrey nothing and waylon imo. Also stitch is gone too 😭. Man that sucks
Mushroom Head Is a band that is in constant evolution That's why all their albums sound different they have always had different numbers I was sad to see nothing do nothing go but the new mushroom headline up is awesome too it's awesome too one man doesn't make a band
It's called having a child and animals. See one thing with this podcast I told myself that I will not take it to serious. You're literally the only one out of over 100,000+ listeners on this episode alone that's said something. If that's all you have to say. Why say it? Just to be a dick or?
I saw them years ago and they were bad ass. They are playing here in a week. I am not even attempting to go. The band is nothing of what if used to be.
Honestly Jeffrey has always been my favorite part in Mushroomhead and I tried listening to the new Mushroomhead for the J Mann parts but the new music gives me really bad vibes and feels like it has something evil behind it and no longer has a good message behind it all. You guys are right it sounds very manufactured
I'd like to point at something real quick right before typing anything else: Jeffrey Hatrix IS Mushroomhead, period. Still, I can't help but respect Steve Rauckhorst: he's talented, professional and a first class gentleman (at least, it seems like that to me so far) and has proven he deserves the spot, besides he got picked by Jeff himself. Nevertheless, anyone who mistreated such a figure as Jeffrey Lewis Hetrick (Jeff's full real name), either if it was Skinny, Stitch, LaPonza, anyone, IDK, deserves none of my respect. Those people literally STOLE Jeff's legacy and even dared to treat him as their slave. That's just plain BS. Mr. Hatrix, can't do anything else but thanking you for giving us a fresh air breeze with MRH. YOU are MRH and that's enough for me. Tho I can't go to any show you give since I'm too far, I'll follow you sir until the end. Love to you and your lovely wife, I know it hasn't been a bed of roses for you guys. Tons of love and blessings for you both. Greetings from Mexico.
ah damn i really hope J man wasnt an asshole to Jeff... i love him so much. Hes such an awesome vocalist and is always so nice in interviews. pains me to hear that skinny is a tyrant. hes one of my favorite drummers ever. One cool thing is that J man said that Solitaire Unraveling is left for the listener to find their own meaning and it can possibly change over time as they change. Now looking back on the lyrics, and how its split into 2 parts (Solitaire/Unraveling), I see part one, Solitaire, as Jeffrey lost, struggling, pained in life, trying and wanting to find a way out, but he doesnt have much time left in his life to do so. his time is running out. "Locked away in a cage My rage has got the best of me Time finds a way each day Of leaving less of me behind I find this fight must be won Inside my mind So uptight and confined Often blinded by the light. Taking its toll on my system" the chorus emphasizes this even more. "time ticks away these last few moments is there anything weve left unsaid im on a quest for atonement ive got to find peace of mind and a place to rest" Unraveling starts, at the start of Unraveling Jeff starts to change, and he slowly finds salvation and finally finds peace "Theres a calm before the storm and the western front is quiet ive got rembrandt as my right hand solo as my pilot" then jeffrey starts to find himself piece by piece ("strand by strand") and starts to move past his sins 'condemned man convicted man could not save my life, cutting strand by strand" now Jeff finally sees the light and looks back on his past mistakes and suffering "passing it off like some kind of king you dont know peace till youve had suffering all of this so called reslove but you havent tasted pain have you ever been inside of the new masterpiece" and the the verse and chorus repeat at the end of the song is Jeff letting his suffering and past fade away since hes moved on and found salvation. well thats my hot take on Mushroomhead's poetic masterpiece.
I saw mushroomhead 4 times in quick succession at a local bar and a Pittsburgh show before Jeffrey left the band. There was always this weird forced feeling of the one band members girlfriends band being front and center. To the point where SHE would come out with mushroomhead and play with them in a giant dress and a mask. It always just felt really forced and weird.
I'd say pens peak restaurant would hire you in a second they just had on Pennsylvania there on Jim Thorpe josh turner was a hit here so seeing Jeffery nothing would be even better show

I would love to see a show with Jeffrey and King Diamond. Two guys in their 60s that still sound amazing

seen it back in the day
Late to the party, but I just love Jeff. God bless him for finding what was important. I pray he gets the props he deserves.
Thanks for listening and yes Jeff is an amazing guy he deserves all the credit in the world
Perfect example in mentioning Fear Factory for a band with a member or two trying to be the boss.
I appreciate your thoughtful analysis of the band dynamics. It's great to have viewers like you who really delve deep into the music world.
@@JamesDavisMcAllister Thank you. Great video. Keep up the good work.
I met Jeff twice. Traveled from Puerto Rico to Tampa state theater two times..and he was great to me as a Fan. Both times Genuine person.. thank you Jeff
Jeff's an amazing man
I would give anything to see original Mushroomhead live! If only time travel existed 🤦🏼♀️

My mind is totally blown bruh. There needs to be like a documentary
Working on it.

Great interview 💯🙌🏾 been a fan of MRH and Jeffery for years man, broke my heart when he left 🖤
P.S. would love to do an interview if you’re ever in need of guests my man! I’m an Ohioan artist as well , much love 🙌🏾
hit me up on the book James Davis McAllister
I can tell you who the problem is in MRH is Skinny
yep listen to my gravy interview he exposes it
Jeffrey Norhing is Mushroomhead I live in Cleveland I go all the way back 2 the Hatrix days I will always support Jeff he truly is one of a kind vocalist 🤘💯🤘
On Mushroomheads website it states that Steve Felton founded the band 🙄. That guy is on a serious powertrip. Jeffrey seems like he was The Heart of the group and when he left, so did the feeling or essense of Mushroomhead.
Jeffrey was the founder/creator of Mushroomhead. Skinny stole the rights in contracts behind Jeff's back
Mushroomhead need jeffery...but jeffery doesn't need Mushroomhead.

Metal drummer for 37 years. Fairly long list of credentials. Would love to be start making Christian metal with Jeffrey 🤘
Without Jeffrey and Schmotz MRH it's completely other thing and the new album doesn't makes justice to J Mann's voice, it's a shame
Go, Jeff!!! The greatest frontman in heavy music!

I listen to mushroomhead, Jeff nothing, and waylon reavis, all 3, fantastic!!! Thay made 3 new great bands,
I’m probably thinking too hard about this, lol, but It’s Sort of oddly poetic that he was the (other) guy in the lineup back then that didn’t outright try to hide his face.
Thanks for listening man I appreciate you
There was the goat and devil masks before the paint.
Mushroomhead has hit its pinnacle years ago it’s not gonna last much longer like this
Well to be fair just saw them at the 02 academy london last week and it was packed and the crowd were pumped. Probably because their set was classic no jackie songs kind of glad she wasn't there.
Not going lie I would love to hear st1tchs and skinnys side of the story
I could probably get Stitch but i highly doubt Skinny would do one. I would love to have both of em on. Thanks for listening did you listen to my Gravy interviews!! Be sure to like the video and subscribe id really appreciate it!
Fans of fiction would certainly flock!

Jeffrey! Write that book! A must-read!
Thats what im saying!!! Thanks for listening Be sure to sub!! There will be more!

I wsih he play with Dave again
59:14 Gwar, Queen, Pink Floyd, Genesis (in their early days) and Kiss
Love you jeff bro💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks for listening man !!! Be sure to Like and Subscribe brother it would help out alot!!
Jeffrey Nothing would be awesome creating like metal bluegrass style album I'd love to hear that
Thanks for listening and subscribing I really appreciate it. If you haven't already check out Jeffrey Nothing the band!
Thats absolutely right, Jeff. THANK YOU! You absolutely gave us some fantastic and original music that had a noticeable impact on a genre as a whole. Youre too modest and humble. Soak it up youve done very well.
Thanks for listening
I have posted multiple comments on mushroomhead posts that they are pretty much a cover band anymore because they are not the same. I remember you did a show at the agora on the small stage and it was the absolute best show I ever been to with you as a member. I will never go to another show and it suck but it's a reality.
They have me blocked 😂😂

Wow man thanks for the kind words I'll be sure to show Jeff this comment🖤 appreciate your support

Never get enough of nothing 👈💯🥱💯🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much that means the world to me!!! Thanks or listening and sub for more to come!!
Also I have 2 interviews with Gravy on the channel check them out!!

Haven’t listened to the band since Jeffrey left. Sounds like he went thru hell putting up with a tyrant in his own band for way too long. Glad he’s doing well and still making music

Man I wish you would have asked him to clarify about being replaced by Scot Edgel, active listening man it is really useful
There are certain things and specifics I cannot discuss as Theres an open lawsuit. I cannot as anything else other than,he hand picked Scott. Scott was stage hand for MRH. Jeff acknowledges that Scott sounds damn near identical. Hope you enjoyed!!
@@JamesDavisMcAllister Jeff ended up talking with me for a few hours over Facebook, cleared a lot of things up
Amazing vocalist and musician and human
Nothing was mushroomhead without jeffrey they are nothing
Dude is hearting every comment no matter what the opinion or statement is
thanks for listening hit the sub button. whats wrong with that?
Well said🖤 thanks for listening !
Honestly it's sad that Jeff and Waylon had to leave. I jumped too late into the mushroomhead boat. I was lucky enough to see them live 1 time back in 2014 for the mayhem festival. Jeffrey has that unique signing can never be replaced 🙏
Thanks for listening!!
I think most likely Waylon left because J-Mann came back.
I was gonna go to mayhem fest 2020 n see them then the covid blah blah blah social distance wawaweewa

This is a true Cleveland legend.
Facts thanks for listening
Jeff wish you was still in MRH

Mushroomhead literally created the Nu-Metal Genre. Thanks for listening man!!! hit the sub button if ya could
@JamesDavisMcAllister I thought Korn pioneered the genre? I love Mushroomhead more, but yeah.
J Mann is out of the band now too. Without him and Jeff the band is done. Skinny destroyed the band. Current Mushroomhead reminds me of the twin towers crumbling.

Sun doesn't rise vocals are the best to this date
Wow I’m starting to sense a common theme between mushroom head and slipknot and the way they do business.
Kind of mind numbing huh?
Mushroom Head Is a band that is in constant evolution That's why all their albums sound different they have always had different numbers I was sad to see nothing do nothing go but the new mushroom headline up is awesome too it's awesome too one man doesn't make a band
What's with the background noise?

Hello did you ever get the translation
ah damn i really hope J man wasnt an asshole to Jeff... i love him so much.
"Locked away in a cage
My rage has got the best of me
Time finds a way each day
Of leaving less of me behind
I find this fight must be won
Inside my mind
So uptight and confined
Often blinded by the light.
Taking its toll on my system"
the chorus emphasizes this even more.
"time ticks away these last few moments
is there anything weve left unsaid
im on a quest for atonement
ive got to find peace of mind
and a place to rest"
Unraveling starts, at the start of Unraveling Jeff starts to change, and he slowly finds salvation and finally finds peace
"Theres a calm before the storm
and the western front is quiet
ive got rembrandt as my right hand solo as my pilot"
then jeffrey starts to find himself piece by piece ("strand by strand") and starts to move past his sins
'condemned man
convicted man
could not save my life, cutting strand by strand"
now Jeff finally sees the light and looks back on his past mistakes and suffering
"passing it off
like some kind of king
you dont know peace till youve had suffering
all of this so called reslove but you havent tasted pain
have you ever been inside of the new masterpiece"
and the the verse and chorus repeat at the end of the song is Jeff letting his suffering and past fade away since hes moved on and found salvation.
well thats my hot take on Mushroomhead's poetic masterpiece.
Thanks for listening man I really appreciate it!! Be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay in touch with the show!!!
He was such a big part of their sound now its just random hodgepodge
I saw mushroomhead 4 times in quick succession at a local bar and a Pittsburgh show before Jeffrey left the band. There was always this weird forced feeling of the one band members girlfriends band being front and center. To the point where SHE would come out with mushroomhead and play with them in a giant dress and a mask. It always just felt really forced and weird.
