@Henry14arsenal2007 yea Jeff is out. he became a Christian and finally found happiness in his life. there's a video of him speaking about being saved from his wife and overcoming his demons he had when he was in MH. Happy for him.
Some people's speaking voices are so deep and gravely that you know their singing voices are going to sound unique. Take Ivan Moody from 5FDP and Motogrator. I really liked their debut album and it was on the strength of his voice alone that sold me on it. Peter Steele of Type O- is another one. Amazing an unique voices
God damn, Waylon's voice has really grown on me. He's pretty fucking awesome live, even folks who may not like him in the band must admit he can fucking sing.
Ya I don't think the guy realizes. He's probly just very open. I'm the same way in certain ways. I'm an open book so I dont get offended at personal questions really
I love all 3 singers. They all have their own identity and they are all 3 perfect singing together. You have the rapping styles of J-mann with the soft melody vocals of Waylon and Jeffery. They really compliment each other very well.
The new album really is that good...Im an old school MH fan and i was a little upset over Waylon but after i heard it all...it was awesome. Now we have all 3 Badass voices in one album...Fuck yeah!!!
This was a awesome interview so much pain in the band and people tried to feed on this and start stuff between the band .Waylon did a great job on his solo version of Save Us .#Mushroomhead for life!!🤘🤘😈😈☠☠💀💀🔥🔥😎😎🎃🎃🤗🤗
The body language between the two singers is so bad. Can tell theres some heat there. And btw, this dj is woeful, what is this shrink hour or a music station? Felt bad for j mann
We are all humans! My condolences to J Mann and Waylon. Mushroomhead is a great band, similar to Skipknot (also an amazing band) but quite different, from another pesperctive of Metal. Keep it Rocking, guys! \m/ \m/
In this interview we learn that Rover has been at the #1 rock station in Cleveland for years and he still doesn't know shit about Mushroomhead's music so he found other stuff to talk about besides music and the new album.
I'm just now getting really into these guys as far as being a fan of the band. They all seem to be pretty damn cool and really intelligent. Not what I was expecting. Anyways they kick azz and I am digging all the tracks in hearing and am catching up on.
Somewhat informative for people who didn't know the whole story behind Jmann leaving and Waylon taking his place, but this interview overall sucks. They really needed to focus on asking questions about the new album and MRH getting publicity that way, not having a personal therapy session with that asshat.
That's a typical formula that sterile and stupid publicists stick with. They're ALL wrong. 30 minutes of shameless promotion is boring and people tune out. People like hearing relatable things about the guests.
And when did WMMS ever support Mushroomhead? So the one time they get to be heard it has to be Waylon and J-Mann clearing up rumors? How about a mushroomhead song or two in among all the Alice in Chains and AC/DC....
Waylon, Jeff and JMann are all very very good and unique..these guys put heart into this shit..I dont like when folks talk shit about Waylon or anyone..are you guys deaf Waylon has a amazing voice too imo..and i dig his heavy vocals as well..when J left he held it down give the dude some creda!!! changes they happen.. Mushroomhead makes quality music..end of discussion
Knew exactly what was gonna happen when they brough JMann back...phase out Waylon... 😢 they couldve been sooo huge had they kept Waylon hes such a versatile voice, Jmann does not! Lol but a killers confession is soooo good! So theres that!
Amaranthe has been a triple-fronted band since the very beginning, and while they haven't been around nearly as long as Mushroomhead, they do prove that it can work.
Jeffrey worked about 11 years with J Mann and about 9 with Waylon (if my math is correct) and since J Mann was the one who chose Waylon to fill in for him, they apparently knew each other for a while and I'd imagine that J Mann must think pretty highly of Waylon to give him that honor over anyone else. They definitely seem close here and in other interviews I've seen of the two of them. There's a lot of history between all three and they seem to share a tight bond, so I don't think there should be any problems with having all of them fronting the band. In their live shows, they seem to be having more fun than ever all getting to share the stage because they kind of feed off of each other's energy. As for the new guys, I guess only time will tell if they work out. Things seem to be going well so far, though, so we'll see. I don't think we have to worry about any of the vocalists leaving again (unless it's a similar situation where someone has to, which I really hope not because these guys have been through enough already), though. At least I hope not, anyway.
I had a long drunken conversation with “JJ Righteous” outside of the HI FI about 2/3 years before he passed. He def regretted not being in MRH and you could easily tell it was important to him .
These questions may have been personal, but at least are respectfully ignorant unlike other "pop" dj's. A very good insight into a long living band. And I would be all over Waylon for the vids and legos ;)
What a ridiculous interview, why would you bring on 2 musicians and talk to them for 10 minutes about the death of one of their fathers. Not to mention how outdated has the whole radio schtick become at this point it's almost painful to listen to this ridiculous radio dj. I love mushroomhead and they deserve much better than this type of an interview
It surprises me that Waylon is from Wilkes County. That's so close to wear I live in NC and I got to Wilkes County every weekend almost :O I guess you learn something new everyday.
I see a lot of comments about the interview quality. It didn't seem surprising to me, but I am from Cleveland. Rover talks like this all the time. Wether it's interviews or talking to other radio people. just so you all know.
That’s not how adults talk to each other. When meeting someone new, I’ve never asked personal questions about their familial relationships and their struggles. The guys a prick. J Mann handles it like a legend but, he questions are pretty invasive.
Jkelan 777 I agree. I'm sure it was refreshing for them to have a more in-depth conversation and not be asked the same boring questions that are always asked in interviews.
So I'm a little new to this band, heard them sometime last year with Solitaire Unraveling. Is Jmann the lead singer starting out in that video (on the right), and is Waylon the back-up singer on that music video (on the left)?
Jman was the original lead vocalist, along with Jeffrey Nothing, but Jman left, as he explained, due to family issues. Waylon then replaced him and has been the lead vocalist, along with Jeffrey Nothing, for the past 10 years. Now that Jman is back, we got 3 vocalist. Not sure who is the main vocalist.. I would say Jeff is, considering he's been the vocalist longer than these two
One thing has been on my mind for a while now. I've been listening to them since 1998/1999, but I don't know who sings what on the albums. Does he sing both the screaming and melodical parts, or is it one or the other?
+cavegoat24 Until 2006, JMann (the one with the cap in this video) used to sing the screaming. He left in 2003 and Waylon (the bald one) replaced him in screaming and clean singing as well, him and Jeffrey Nothing (the original clean singer who has never left) shared clean voice, but Waylon made screaming too. In 2014, JMann comes back and sings only screamo, Waylon remains in clean and screamo and Jeffrey Nothing stills with his unconfundible clean singing. Greetings. X X \III/
Fun fact: I'm from metro ATL & over here, there's a sheriff named, "Jeffrey Mann" (or J. Mann for short) & he got arrested for public intoxication/indecency.
Everyone needs to stop bytching about the DJ, yes he needed to do more homework on the bands history. But he made the singers extremely human and personable to the average person. We can all relate to these guys in this interview. Great job dude.
Damn shame that Skinny and Yoko treated Waylon like shit. Imo, the band went to shit when Skinny and Yoko made Gravy, Pig Phenis, Waylon and Jeff leave. Then Shmotz left and that was the final nail in the coffin.
Both Waylon and J. Mann come-off as being intelligent, thoughtful, and good-humored. I like them both.
They are. They still are. Jeff's gone, Waylon has his own band and they're all still cool.
There's only 2 members that are originals in the band that are left... JMann and Skinny.
It's sad but MRH isn't MRH without Jeff and Waylon
@@Gatsu_Gambino Jeff is out too it seems.
@Henry14arsenal2007 yea Jeff is out. he became a Christian and finally found happiness in his life. there's a video of him speaking about being saved from his wife and overcoming his demons he had when he was in MH. Happy for him.
J Mann's speaking voice.....woah

I really liked their debut album and it was on the strength of his voice alone that sold me on it. Peter Steele of Type O- is another one. Amazing an unique voices
Imagine if your poo was cheese and your cheese was poo
God damn, Waylon's voice has really grown on me. He's pretty fucking awesome live, even folks who may not like him in the band must admit he can fucking sing.
Jmann on "Sun doesn't Rise" is the shit.
SoIoCreep Fuck yeah AND Before I Die
you got that one right
JMANN IS FUCKING FIRE IN BORN OF DESIRE.
Absolutely!
Props to jmann and waylon for answering this guy's questions about his personal life wtf was all of that lol
Ya I don't think the guy realizes. He's probly just very open. I'm the same way in certain ways. I'm an open book so I dont get offended at personal questions really
Waylon: Was that 2011 or 2012?
Jason: Mhm
mhm
Mhm
So sad listening to this 11 years later and seeing what’s happened to them and the band
Good interview; these guys are very down to earth and congenial. A shame Waylon left, though.
J Mann, is probably my favorite vocalist in the world. I love his vocals above anyone else's in the industry.
If you don't have a tear in your eye when Waylon is singing you're not human.
Best singer they ever had in my opinion 🤟
I love all 3 singers. They all have their own identity and they are all 3 perfect singing together. You have the rapping styles of J-mann with the soft melody vocals of Waylon and Jeffery. They really compliment each other very well.
Wow
This band and these guys have my respect
My blessings go out to them for their losses
May they rest in peace
This interviewer seems unprepared and has no clue what MH is about
I suspect he's uninterested and just there to do a job that day. Jesus do some fucking research
You neither, you should be saying MRH
This is a cleveland show host. he literally is from the same city as them.
He did, ok.
This is a fantastic interview. Much more than "New album, new tour, happy go lucky". Really got to get to know them personally!
dude really seemed to not give a shit about making jokes at the expense of friends and family of the band that passed away.
waylon is a awesome vocalist !!!! but j man is just a legend
I love both of em they both with Jeffrey play vital parts of this machine
Waylon's awesome Batman PJ's LOL
OMG, is J Mann wearing a Clutch hat??? Thats awesome!!! And Holy crap these are super personal questions!!
I LOVE WAYLON😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
These guys are so chill. I really need to see and meet them now.
Instantly like Waylon. Seems a very down to earth cool country guy. It's very surprising
We need a Mushroomhead acoustic album!
Now this is a weeeiirddd interview.
The new album really is that good...Im an old school MH fan and i was a little upset over Waylon but after i heard it all...it was awesome. Now we have all 3 Badass voices in one album...Fuck yeah!!!
Exactly! And that's what the new fans don't understand. Every album can't be the same. It's called progress. Well said.
I hate radio DJs that dont have any clue about the guests they have on the show.
+F Scarecro that is true but, this guy, Rover, knows his stuff. i listen to him every morning and he makes sure he knows what he is talking about
I respect the shit outta both of them
Damn jmann in this interview sounds like Corey taylor from slipknot in his interviews
+Mikey James Jmann is on hella pills.
I think he sounds more like Chad Gray from Mudvayne
Not at all
He's sounding a lot like Phil Anselmo as well fucking badass
when jmann sings in qwerty he sounds a lot like Cory Taylor also
This was a awesome interview so much pain in the band and people tried to feed on this and start stuff between the band .Waylon did a great job on his solo version of Save Us .#Mushroomhead for life!!🤘🤘😈😈☠☠💀💀🔥🔥😎😎🎃🎃🤗🤗
Damn dude....intrusive much???
Oh man this way awesome I'm happy to have Waylon and Jman together
I agree having both has made there new album all so much better
I enjoyed this interview. I felt like I learned way more about mushroom head than I did before.
Waylon seems to be such a nice layed back guy
I'm a Clevelander and I'm happy this was done.
Mushroomhead seems very respectful and friendly as a whole. Their fans (some of them) on the other hand aren’t always so civil.
Crazy how personable these guys are. Never thought Waylon would sound so much like a southern boy.
J works once in a while at a record store around the corner from my house and he's such a great dude!
The body language between the two singers is so bad. Can tell theres some heat there. And btw, this dj is woeful, what is this shrink hour or a music station? Felt bad for j mann
Waylon is right "pick up a video game"
this interviewer is like a young version of Howard Stern
XIII was way heavier and better than this last release.
Ryan Forde I love the new one but i agree
You will be hard pressed to find any Mushroomhead album harder than XIII. A classic and masterpiece.
I personally think XX was better than XIII but I like them both
0:21 can we appreciate the nice pajamas waylon is wearing ?
I’ll always love these guys. 💗💗💗
Pumped for the upcoming tour!
We are all humans! My condolences to J Mann and Waylon. Mushroomhead is a great band, similar to Skipknot (also an amazing band) but quite different, from another pesperctive of Metal. Keep it Rocking, guys! \m/ \m/
This was so interesting to me. My favorie part was when Waylon was singing and J was just sitting there, waiting... thought that was funny.
In this interview we learn that Rover has been at the #1 rock station in Cleveland for years and he still doesn't know shit about Mushroomhead's music so he found other stuff to talk about besides music and the new album.
107.5 I use to listen to his show in the morning until I saw this shit show always thought rover was kinda a d-bag but this sealed the deal for me.
30:25 amazing
Couldnt finishimg watching this, too much pressure on J mann with the back and forth unecessary questions, its not an interview.
this guy got howard stern written all over him
This is an extremely painful interview. Feels like a tonight show interview☠️
I'm just now getting really into these guys as far as being a fan of the band. They all seem to be pretty damn cool and really intelligent. Not what I was expecting. Anyways they kick azz and I am digging all the tracks in hearing and am catching up on.

I have to say Savior Sarrow-Waylon's first album-is by far and away my favorite album start to finish. Forever love J-Mann but I like Way's voice more
Waylon, Jeff and JMann are all very very good and unique..these guys put heart into this shit..I dont like when folks talk shit about Waylon or anyone..are you guys deaf Waylon has a amazing voice too imo..and i dig his heavy vocals as well..when J left he held it down give the dude some creda!!! changes they happen.. Waylon's cool but JMann is sick af
Goddamn, I miss this lineup.
Knew exactly what was gonna happen when they brough JMann back...phase out Waylon... 😢 they couldve been sooo huge had they kept Waylon hes such a versatile voice, Jmann does not! Lol but a killers confession is soooo good! So theres that!
waylon is a really good singer, same with jman, and then they played with jeff nothing which is also incredible
Wow waylon from my neck of the woods and has issues with family like me that cuts deep
love Waylon´s t-shirt, where can I get it :D
Fucking love Waylon, mad respect.
Good interview and great to see Jason back in the band. Not sure how 3 singers will work out in the long run.
amazingly
It will work absolutely fine ;)
***** ok, come back in couple years and we will see.
Why is the Dj asking so many personal questions? I mean have you considered the fact that Jason might not want to talk about that?
THE ACOUSTIC IN MIN. 30:23
RICH 20 thanks man
i love u waylon haha
I need that waylon pants
Good God talk about opening up wounds with questions you probably shouldn't be asking.
Really good top blokes
new fan but this interview was really good.
that clutch hat though.
Ohio Mushroomhead fans are brutal. We didn't want to share Mushroomhead with the rest of the world.
I'm glad y'all did. I'm from NC and I appreciate y'all sharing such an amazing band.
I had a long drunken conversation with “JJ Righteous” outside of the HI FI about 2/3 years before he passed. He def regretted not being in MRH and you could easily tell it was important to him .
Dam. How the fuck i miss this
J Mann looks like if Jimmy Fallon joined a band.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT HE LOOKED LIKE JIMMY FALLON 💀
Waylon's clean vocals are the shit.
I love mushroomhead and they deserve much better than this type of an interview
I like both of them. I don't see why people don't like Waylon. J Mann left so they had to find a replacement.
It surprises me that Waylon is from Wilkes County. That's so close to wear I live in NC and I got to Wilkes County every weekend almost :O I guess you learn something new everyday.
Ace Ryder I'm from Carolina to and you can tell he's from here
I would enjoy to see them do portraits of the poor acoustic
Graveyard Du Jour would be awesome too.
Childlike is also a song that I think would sound good on acoustic
I see a lot of comments about the interview quality. It didn't seem surprising to me, but I am from Cleveland. Rover talks like this all the time. Wether it's interviews or talking to other radio people. just so you all know.
Waylon is the best!!!
This DJ is one of the rudest and grimiest I've seen. No respect.
seriously. Dude came off as a complete piss head.
Iancu Capusan It's Rover. He's known for that...
This is how adults talk to each other.
That’s not how adults talk to each other. When meeting someone new, I’ve never asked personal questions about their familial relationships and their struggles. The guys a prick. J Mann handles it like a legend but, he questions are pretty invasive.

Jmann is the lead vocalist in solitaire unravelling and the back up one was Jeffery nothing
Theres no I in team, Mushroomhead is a great band and always will be hopefully everyone can get together
Nice Clutch hat J-mann \m/
I did not know that Rumor Has It is also an Adele song. Rumor Has It is my favorite song in this CD
One thing has been on my mind for a while now. I've been listening to them since 1998/1999, but I don't know who sings what on the albums. Does he sing both the screaming and melodical parts, or is it one or the other?

I'm only here for Save Us
Been a fan since xx, not so much lately 🤮, was interesting to know the history of these guys
These dudes are legit
Love every singer in mushroom head
But Waylon and Jeff the best
But j Mann started this so he's the man. I loved when all 3 sang together
These guys seem pretty great to one another.
Fun fact: I'm from metro ATL & over here, there's a sheriff named, "Jeffrey Mann" (or J. Mann for short) & he got arrested for public intoxication/indecency.
I would've walked off with a middle finger.
!
Everyone needs to stop bytching about the DJ, yes he needed to do more homework on the bands history. But he made the singers extremely human and personable to the average person. We can all relate to these guys in this interview. Great job dude.

Questions were way too personal! Why would you ask such questions? This was an interview with band members on a radio station, NOT Barbara Walters!
Band members, vocalists of all things. It's basically their jobs to talk about their inner feelings.
