3:12 "Release shutter without card" is "NOT" to shoot with manual vintage lens! it tricks you into shooting without a memory card, which is like shooting with a film camera without film!!! it is always better have it OFF, unless you need it for some weird reason! What you are looking for is in menu no7 under the orange custom menu (the small camera with lines under
Yeah, that's right; probably the dude has never taken a camera into his hands, and he's blabbing nonsense. So many people doing "tutorials" on tech stuff they don't know sh*t, what a waste of bandwidth, and that's bad because amateurs get confused by these clowns.
My very generous son got this camera for me. I have away wanted to take up photography. The problem: I can barely take pic on my iPhone. I have watched several videos “for beginners”. Thank goodness I came across yours! You made perfect sense and went slow enough for a real, true beginner! I will watch all you videos. Is there anything you can suggest to get me going. I cannot stress enough, what a beginner I am! Thank you.
This video is so underrated. Thank you, because its great. I am thinking to get that camera but wanted to know how the settings looks like, what it has etc. I have Canon 700d and always shoots Jpegs 'L'. I dont see a point to shoot RAW becausethat jpegs looks exactly how i see it in real life, no tweaking required :) time saved haha
I tell you what, on YT, if you find a video you like, you'd better lock it in, cause you may never find it again. Definitely saving this to my favorites, cause almost couldn't find it, again, after getting distracted by suggested videos and messages.
Very useful information. I still enjoy my Canon 5D Mark III very much, but I bought this camera because I've heard that the focusing ability is superior to the Mark III.
2:58 is wrong. Release shutter w/o card is not about taking pictures with manual lenses. It is about not allowing/allowing the camera to release shutter with or without a card inside the camera. Should be always DISABLE as you can "take" a lot of pictures not knowing you had no card and all your shooting is wasted.
This was really helpful! Thank you. Maybe you could do another video on Canon RP settings for video? Maybe specifically for sit-down, talking head videos in your home and for when you’re walking and vlogging outside? You also mentioned doing product photography for your eBay business. That could be another good video. Product photography on a budget. Camera, lenses, lights or flashes, backdrop, etc. Look forward to your next video! 👍
Thanks for sharing. I do have a question. My AF Method only displays two options. 1st Option: Face+Tracking and 3rd Option: 1-Point AF. I can't figure out why the other 5 are faded/inaccessible. Any idea why?
HI! I NEED YOUR HELP! I got my canon eos RP today and im trying to finish setting it up. But for some reason when im on Manual mode, in the menu settings the “af operation” only gives me one option which is manual focus and i cannot change it into servo or one shot like you show in this video. Do you know why that is? I also cannot change my f settings at all, it is always on F00😔 i need your help!😁
Hii there! I have a canon eos rp and I wanted to set the remote control option. But I can’t find it anywhere on the screen. Could you please help me, because I see that your menu looks exactly like mine. Thank you!
Hi 👋 I’m a beginner and bought this camera last month. I have a quick question, how do you confirm the quality and sharpness of an landscape photo? How long you need to zoom the photo to check that? Because after zooming some point the photo will be pixelated anyways 🤔
“Release shutter without card” has nothing to do with lenses, vintage or otherwise. It’s to allow to trigger the shutter without a card in the camera or, more importantly, to prevent you from doing that.

This was so helpful in learning what the different buttons are for in the settings! Thanks for doing this! You explained it really well!

Same here. Feel like I'm missing something

Thank you for help

Can the shutter speed increments be changed? Example: It jumps from 15 sec to 20 sec not letting me choose 17 sec...as an example. Thanks
I was surprised to see that resolution of image quality option L for jpeg is lower than RAW, on Canon DSLR to my knowledge they're matched
Thanks cutie needed this
thank you for your help
Very concise and clear mate, keep up the good work.(y)
Tanks great explanation
Great video, can you tell me how enable Focus Guide on Manual Focus? (If it has like the other R models) Thank you
but do picture styles only apply in JPG and not RAW? so when you said you’d make changes in your editing software you meant your JPG images?
do you know how to setup custom buttons? Im trying to setup a button that switches between face tracking and one point AF but I don't know how to...
In the canon camera, what color space should i use?, sRGB or Adobe RGB
Well Done. Thanks
Thank you!!!
Im confused btween EOS RP and 6D Markii ...as im not much into videography please suggest me which is better...

May I ask what you used to shoot this video?
I recorded this with a Z Cam E2-S6
Thanks
And Best settings for vidéo
I have this camera but for some reason I don’t have as many options as you are showing .... kinda confused
I think putting it in "M" mode will give you all the options
Also update firmware
Could you clarify how the setting "release without card" is related to lenses? Isn't it referring to the memory card?
This is what I thought as well. It won’t take a photo unless there’s an sd card inside.
“Release shutter without card” has nothing to do with lenses, vintage or otherwise. It’s to allow to trigger the shutter without a card in the camera or, more importantly, to prevent you from doing that.
All settings you need is shoot to RAW
Se agradecería que los subtítulos fueran en Español, gracias
Rename the title of this video to "my settings"
Thanks mate!
