I'm one of those that mentioned your microphone issues and all I can say is thank you! Much improved! Level up...
The car store where I worked for 14 years got burned on so many Audi’s that our GM decreed that we would never sell another one no matter how nice it was! We would wholesale every Audi trade that we took in. After a couple of years we decided to take a couple of calculated ones that were exceptional. Still we got burned.Same applied to all Land Rovers.
there's nothing more expensive than a cheap (or expensive) German car. Unless it's within the warranty period it will cost you. Coming from an N63 engine BMW I learned my lesson and decided to go with Lexus LC500 and make sure my V8 will last without engine out maintenance.
@@paulsolovyovsky1702 I had German VWs that were EXC. 60s thru 90s.
@@paulsolovyovsky1702 yeah I love my 06 bmw 330xi as a daily driver but I probably wouldn't buy another one I'd rather go back to a Acura tl or higher end Accord.
@@paulsolovyovsky1702 It depends on how the car has been maintained. I've owned about a dozen (tuned) VWs and Audis out of warranty and had no problems whatsoever but service them religiously. My dad still owns his 2003 BMW 3-series bought new and the only thing it's ever needed was AC gas.
Germans and the Japanese have different phylosophies, Germans are cutting edge technology the Japanese tried and reliable. I went from Toyota to VW to Audi to back to Toyota and now Lexus.
Your videos are always real. As someone who burned the candle at both ends for years and then walked away, do what you said at the end "focus on family and myself". I did and am so much happier. Life is too short man.
Craig, blink twice if fusion clear is holding you hostage... 😂😂😂
thanks for sharing, you inspired me to try something new
Craig, if you sign up for AAA's Premier Membership, it covers tows up to 200 miles away. Less than $15 a month and keeps you covered. Something to consider.
I seriously doubt AAA would allow a used car dealer to sign up for a membership!
I like AAA because they tow my car to a set location, to my house. Not the closest auto repair shop. And they don't care what reason. One day I bought a used car 100 miles away from my house and I used them to tow. The other day, I used them to move 4 of my project non running cars to a new house (new house was 4 miles away from the old house)
I think emergency towing policy on car insurance just tow the car to the closest auto repair shop.
AAA won’t tow anything that isn’t registered with a plate on it some companies won’t even tow a car if it doesn’t have a sticker on it, it’s ridiculous but it is what it is
@@lucastowne8576 Probably depends on state. They towed the car that I bought NO TITLE. and transmission sitting in the back seat.
@@lucastowne8576 AAA has towed all of my vehicles from Copart to my house, and from my house to the dealer/body shop.
No questions asked.
Also, Craig has dealer plates, so this wouldn’t be an issue if the question did come up.
Omg the audio is much much much better Greg ty well done
EVs are External combustion engines. The fosil fuels are burned at the power plants.
Brilliant! 😂👍👍🍻
Great video, great sound and the DRAMA, amazing...
I enjoy your struggles, they are helpful in teaching us what not to do too much of.
This guy has a heart of Gold 💛.
Thanks for the mic. I complained on the last video. It was hard to watch. Big difference.
Funny evertime I end up watching a audi video of yours it's a rainy day also😂
Quality of hearing you is amazing with the new mic
My father had the same model A7 TFSI brand new. In his 3 years and 60,000 miles of ownership it had the DSG replaced, the thermostat, various air suspension components, the AC compressor and something to do with drive shafts iirc... Beautiful car to look at, amazing to drive, great tech for the era but goodness me, hard work to own.
Craig the mic sounds great, very clear. 👌
I actually enjoyed this video. Thanks for showing the struggles of trying to fix and sell a car.
The volume is on point
Audio much better Craig!
I do enjoy watching your struggles and mistakes buying cars because I can relate to it. So don’t worry you are not alone in impulse buying hooptes.
Thanks for the audio 😃.
I love watching these videos as I shop for my 2016-18 TTS 😆
Mic integration a lot better audio instantly 👌🏼
Great video. The mic is crystal clear.
Hey Craig, During your video, you mentioned something about the Audi had missing catalytic converters. It reminded me of the Diesel Brothers who were once fined by the EPA for removing and selling vehicles without emissions-related items.
Thanks for sharing!
Good video.Thanks.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for talking me out from buying an Audi. You’re doing the lords work 🙌👏🤝
I can see a ripple in the fusion clear like ceramic before it's leveled...Maybe the camera is making it more visible...Start 16:21... Looks much better just wondering if that Fusion Clear needed leveled?
3000 grit 3m works the best for that kind of wet sanding
I, for one, anticipate receiving my “how to start a car dealership” kit! 😮😂
I love this channel. Have two things for your idea.
1. I like the buy fix it clean sell it and I find myself not interested as much in the detailing aspects. Infact this video I skipped over the detailing part.
2. Glad you’re making the move to make you and your family happy. It surly does sound like you are hating the game in New Hampshire, or the business or maybe a midlife thing.
I am curious are you keeping the boat you just bought and your viper? What cars are you taking to Florida?
Sounding great Craig
I'm a wholesale dealer in Midland Michigan and I bought a 2011 Q7 Diesel. My local foreign car shop can't fix it...off to the Audi dealership. Friggin garbage!!!
Well I’m suprised I made it in the video if you need anything towed in the future give us a call
I have programmed the Audi key fobs before, its not too bad. You need treat it as all keys lost and link both keys (old and new). You can pull the security info if you have a programmer.
Craig, sorry to hear about your misfortunes. I had a similar situation happen with my keys. I had two. I lost one and was too busy to find it so I started using my 2nd one. I was rushing. I put my Keychain around my finger so I could grab some trash bags. While dumping the trash, I forgot about my key around my finger. Later that day, I realized what happened when I couldn't find it.
I searched all over for my original key. Didn't find it in time, so I had to order a new one.
Many months later, I got into my C4 Corvette and just by chance looked in a very odd area around the seat. Found my original key.
The key replacement was just shy of $500.
the wind noise from the new mic. is very loud!
My guy you deserve everything you get with them audis good and bad😅😅
great stuff thanks
Thanks Greg. You made me $5 by buying that Audi. I had bet my buddy that you'd buy a screwed-up Audi by the middle of June. Easy money. Keep the crap coming.
Craig you mean?
Lmfaoff 🤣🤣
Craig I understand your sickness, the only cure is to run out of money, which can happen quickly in the car business. I’ve been there, I’ve learned, then forgot and had to do it all over again. I’m praying for you. Your friend.
Same as U. I LOVE Audis. I enjoy the journey you have with Audis because your not the only one - it is a love (when low miles)/hate (high mileage). I had to let go of my 2017 Q7 (played it safe by only having it tuned to stage 1) AND 19 Mini Countryman S All4 for a 20 Audi SQ5 due to financial reasons.
Regarding your mic, your voice clarity when from mp3 to mp4 =P.
That A7 have w/an APR intake... probably have stage 3 (basically means get ready to spend lots of money on maintenance & repairs) and is probably under 500hp at the crank - assuming it is a CREC enging and at 91 octane or over 500hp at 93/100 octane or other blends. It'll give a lot of V8 vehicles a run for there money. Last owner probably been launching it enough and will probably end up having piston/valve/connecting rod AND/OR due for a timing chain & tensioner service.Let's not forget the notorious P049100 & p052E00 MIL codes that will eventually pop up (I know this because it kept popping on & off with my Q7 every 120+miles) - the temp fix is to keep running it high speeds and the permanent the fix for it is a labor intensive job too that cost over $3k (based on what I found online) - apparently have an extended warranty due to design flaw but where I reside, it isn't honored like it doesn't exist. When it comes to tuning Audis for daily driving, stay stage 1 only. Unless you track and/or race, then go beyond for as long as you can "pay to play"
al lil loud on the audio...but much appreciated for listenin g to us and get a mic...now u need one for wind lol..half a thumbs up
I love my Audis & Porsches so much
Why paint the callipers Skoda green???
Craig, thank you for the videos and effort to informing us on your mistakes…. If this makes sense.
Don’t give up and go back to your normal buy, clean and sell.
I started my business right about the same time you started Ferrari flip serious, and your videos help me a lot.
The audio is fine
My locksmith can program and cut audi keys on location, never heard of the cars having to be brought to a dealership, he also cuts/programs aftermarket keys. Its not cheap but its cheaper than dealing oem and dealerships. Am I missing something here?
Can you see if your friend could program a key for this car? Would be good info for the rest of us.
Good vid
Please keep those headache videos, I enjoy them 😂
Hahaha Lauren knows all the fancy tricks 😂
31:14 What is with the chirping noise? Sounds like a belt or bearings on the water pump.
I heard that, too.
Enjoy your Audi videos. Suggestion: your clip-on microphone needs a wind sock…reduces wind noise.
Audio is not good
Audi is not good
His wife likes them apparently. A whole dealership just to buy cars to drag his wife around. Crying wheels
Hoovies Garage Craig edition ? What shop supplies were used to program a key ? $39 Rip off.
When I’m having a bad day I just watch your vids and I’m good again
You finally got a mic! We have only waited for 26 months so you could sneeze in it! Thanks.
I also wrote this right b4 you commented on the sneeze 😆
Craig that car definitely should be over 500 horsepower If it's dual pulley and has the APR ultracharger inlet w intake. You can also contact APR and they can tell you everything about the car and what tune it actually had currently or last loaded. Also, make sure you're in dynamic mode. It sounds like when you were getting on it you were in comfort or normal mode. The way it was shifting and accelerating slower and didn't really pull as hard. Dynamic mode with full power is a lot more dramatic and accelerates faster .The throttle is highly limited when in comfort or in normal mode versus being in dynamic on those cars. They still pull pretty decently but you won't get the full supercharger boost or torque in those modes over dynamic.
WTH Craig another nightmare next time you see an Audi run the other way!! Run Forest Run!!!!
The little circles hypnotize him. All common sense disappears
My dream is to have a small dealership someday and I thank you for continuing to show me what I should NOT be doing! Thank you and keep us posted! We should call you Lord of the Rings!
27:04 *DON’T GIVE ME SLACK! 😂😂😂
Audio is awesome now.
Mic sounds great, just need a wind muff for outdoor recording.
Glad to see the dealer is on their game.
They even ripped the seatbelt trim out and messed up the hood joyriding it at no extra environmental cost! 🤣🤣
Audio is good! 6:59 Golden Colorado here….
Bless you!
The funniest part was the falling audi panel 😂🤪
what belt bjj are you?
Talking about keys....I was working at a Toyota dealership, two of us young salesmen were packing trade-ins that we weren't going to retail into a small lot , we called the "holding yard" that was about 50 yards from the dealership where they would sit for a day or three until being sent to the auctions or bought by other used car lots that sold older/cheaper cars.
There was about 40 cars jammed in there tight with not much room to walk between them. We finished what we were doing there, it was close to finishing time, it was dark, Saturday night (closed Sundays) and being young and dumb we smoked a joint, got blazed, locked the gates and went home to get ready for a big Saturday night on the town.
By Monday morning every car in the wholesale lot had been in a demolition derby...some kids had jumped the fence, noticed the key board that we had forgotten and left on a roof of one of the cars in this holding yard, they got into every car and crashed them into each other! .......this wholesale lot was on a major 4 lane road in the suburbs and was less than 50 yards from a police station, yet no one saw or heard a thing.....every car was damaged, dinged up bumpers, panel damage, broken lights but the used car manager somehow said to us "well, that was dumb-shit, don't do that again!", and got them all moved by car haulers that morning to the wholesalers/auctions so the owner didn't notice any thing when he rocked up after lunch and that was it and we were eternally grateful...I never made that mistake again!
Wonder what he said when he got 50% less at the Manheim auto auction
@@paulsolovyovsky1702 ..and I thought I was off topic..lol
Finally- someone on here to say electric vehicles aren’t the future
I hate electric cars. There is no need to try to reinvent the wheel.
I’m jealous yours has the optional led headlights and the s line bumpers but withoiut the paddle shifters for some reason😭
Much better with the collar mic 👍🏻
🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh that explains the listed price! Didn't see this vid before browsing the inventory.
I would leave the keys in it and park it in the hood.😂 The 4 circles represent the 4 circles of hell.
You should never wet sand in a circle man
He must like swirl lol
What should you do? I feel I read conflicting answers everywhere.
@@aGuyNamedDingus Circular marks are more difficult to polish than lines...
Even when washing the car or quick detailing the car you should always go in the direction of the air as if the car was driving. That way all the swirl marks will be going in the same direction and you will know if your wash and dusting technique is causing the swirl marks and polishing out lines is easier to see what you're doing.
I can't imagine buying one of his cars. The videos are interesting, but his stuff is junk with stereotypical used car dealer garbage repairs. Probably not worse than others, but it's on full display.
@@kb7tsefor the average car buyer that’s basically going to daily drive the car, drive it through car washes and wash it with dirty sponges and dish soap what he’s doing is fine to get the car sold.
Some of his fixes are OK but definitely not what you want to do on any collectible car.
Seems to be mostly high mileage daily driver stuff so it’s fine. I think he does a good job of selling cars that have issues sorted at least.
I mean he’s not a collector car dealer. I enjoy the content
Audio is great
Great video
Bless you 🤧
The lapel mike is a big improvement, but you have a problem outdoors with wind noise. Not to take you back to age fourteen, but ... put a sock on that thing.
Craig, Thanks for keeping us educated. I've ALWAYS thought that Audi's were flashy cars with absolutely horrible reliability. After All, they are Made & Owned By Volkswagen. Not a premium brand! All your experiences have confirmed that for me. I wouldn't Touch one with a 10-ft pole. Instead I'll stay with reliable Japanese name plates. 👍
Craig, not Greg.
That green Cayenne is very nice
At this poimt its not even enjoyable watching Audis .
His wife likes them, he likes losing money. So I guess that's the business plan
This man needs a financial advisor or his banks will probably start pushing to get their loans back to cut their losses.
@@jackf3670 the guy is a millionaire. I think he is doing just fine.
@rorosnusnu2035 I don't thinls that's the problem. The problem is a lot of the money is probably in the car dealership and banks generally like reliable and safe customers instead of some dude who spends money on a whim.
@@jackf3670I don’t think he has floor plans
I did mention the sound issue some time ago and suggested a microphone. Much better sound now. I don't think I missed anything on this video.
Started watching for the car content...now I am watching for your rants.
Yes the microphone sounds great
That Jaguar F-Type you were looking at has exhaust tips in the middle, so it's a V6. Quad exhaust on both sides equals the supercharged V8.
How the hell do get in and out of those cars parked so close to each other?
Been a long time since I laughed so hard thanks Craig, FML the entire seat belt panel fell off, went back and watched it 3 more times. I feel your pain I want so badly to love my Audi but it’s always one step forward two steps backs.
According to the front grille and no fender badges that was a base model CTS Coupe probably with the 3.8 V6. The CTS-V's actually did come with a 6 speed in all platforms. Coupe, Sedan and wagon! If you come across a V wagon buy it!!!!! LOL
The V wagons only came in manual for one year, correct?
@@andydhillon1977 it looks like it came in manual from 2011-14 but only 514 were produced during the 4 years. I had a 2011 coupe.
You should have a set of dollys they are so helpful as a car dealer. I even move my 10ft container on them. You would have only put them under the front wheels.
Excellent advice! 👍👍🍻
Hey Craig get yourself a set of wheel dolly’s for $300 so you can move the car anyway you want to with it being in park and no steering.
I agree. They come in very handy!
The audio is definitely better!
Wassup with that ls silvia at 4:50
You should buy it sounds like a no brainer investment because the car would have equity on top of that would take the channel to the next level💰 worst case scenario you sell it for a flip if it’s to much or maybe something in the garage gots to go
Jeez, you are lucky over there. Here in Australia, we can only get new keys/fobs for all european cars through the dealers. It is rare to buy a car at auction here with 2 keys and a service history, hence I have had to get a number of keys already (2 BMW one Renault for the euro cars). That takes weeks and costs a lot! Still, an interesting video of an unusual car. In the end, after all the pain, you still only have ONE fob for the A7?? They come with 2 when you buy them, surely it would have been more efficient to get two done at the same time, or is only one key considered normal in the states?
Well Craig you should absolutely invest in a top don brand or similar key programmer because it will pay for itself not to mention you can solve LOST FOB issues in minutes not days or weeks. The software is great and could save your sanity.
I think that was a 991, but good job, Craig.
you should invest in a Autel key cutting machine and programmer
