For me, the left tip was practically glued on whereas the right came off relatively easily. Once removed, however, both snapped on an off without a struggle. But that initial pull was a bit scary.

Thank goodness for this video. The size medium was hurting my ears, and I couldn’t figure out how to remove them. It kinda freaked me out but after the initial panic, it was very easy.
I unfolded the first layer of the silicone tip, then pinched the silicone in the middle, yet as close as possible to the headphones. Slowly pulling harder while doing just a tiny tiny wiggling with the pulling hand. Came off no problems, better than grabbing the whole thing Imo, you have more control that way.

Just don't change them out a lot because the eartips will lose it's firmness quite fast. I just ordered replacements because the tips are now coming inside out when I take them off. I was doing the ear tip test to see how the seals on in my ears. Apparently, my right ear is shapped differently enough to where I can't get a good seal with any of the included buds.
The method you describe and demonstrated works with my left airpod, but not with the right one which refuses to budge. Any other hints? There appear to be two notches on opposite sides at the base of the tip. Can I insert a tiny electrical screwdriver to ease it off? Thanks.

I tried the mini screwdriver approach and it worked! Now it comes off as planned.
