“The rubber is on and we are ready”
laughed way too hard at this😭
yes officer this comment here
💀💀💀😭😭😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 then as I read this he says “the size of the tip” I should not be this amused at 28 years old
😂
Thanks for the demonstration! I would just add it felt to me a little bit harder of a pull than just "gently" to remove... it was what I'd call an "almost scary I'll rip it" amount of force on the squeeze/pull for my pair.
yeah mine too
frl bro i wasn’t chancing it until i saw someone else do it 😂
Same. I pulled gently and nothing. I was scared to pull harder for a second, but I tightened my grip more at the base and it popped off a little easier.
I felt this on another level, there was nothing gentle about this process
Sameeee
For anyone else struggling, it definitely took more than a “gentle” tug for me. I had to exert an uncomfortably firm, but steady, amount of force to pull them off. They did not break or tear, however. I think steady is key. And the unrolling method in this video makes it a lot easier than the ridiculously basic steps on Apple’s site; the only detachment happening there is Apple, from reality-the ear tips themselves stay firmly in place.
There should be two indentations on each side when you roll it back. Place your fingernail under one and pull it off
@@BIGROMEx2 thanks for that tip. I was too nervous to stick a nail under/in the indentation for leverage, but I’ll try it next time to see if it makes it any easier.
I used my shirt to help with grip!!!
@@BIGROMEx2 thank you 🙏🏼 this worked
Mine did rip. But one also never charges and the other is fuzzy. So I’m confident I got a lemon
I definitely like the small ones exponentially more, when i used the default medium tips they kept falling off of my ear and these small ones are the perfect size, thanks for the help by the way!
Same
thanks i’ll order the small ones :)
@@fayetopias wdym order them?? They come with the AirPods
@@foxyf4g only one pair… mine are damaged so i bought the $8 ones that come with 2 pairs in different sizes
Facts
You make this look so easy, but in reality it’s so blooming hard to take it off. It’s easy for you but, not for others.
he just makes it seem easier, itll be hard at first but easy once u know what you're doing
I guess u could say that.
It easy bro. When you pull the ear piece off grab the ear piece gently then pull the headphone away not the actually ear piece it will pull of very smooth. Hope that helps.
Tf? Just pull…
@@tyroneallenjr1992 tysm bro I finally got it
Thank you for this video. The M size kept making my AirPods fall off. The S size is a much better fit for me. This video helped a lot. 🙏🏽
The small ear tips feel best in my ears. More comfortable than the medium. Amazing what a difference the sizes make in terms of comfort!
I agree, with the medium I would feel how the AirPod was slowly moving out of my ear which was very uncomfortable while being busy doing something
Same for me because the medium was a bit large for my ears 😂
Just replaced the medium with the small, had it for a few weeks lol
It really does make a huge difference wow
Agreed
Thanks. The small ones stayed in my ears perfectly. My man side doesn't want anyone to know though.
Thank YOU for this helpful tip! Before watching this, I thought I was going to tear the darn thing when I started to pull it out. Whew!
Same
@@juanolym5831 Me three!
For real. Weird plastic
Thanks Mate! Cheers!
Me too!!! I just couldn’t pull any harder until I watched this
Thanks man, my big dumbo ears couldn’t take the medium size
Same lmao
This man has some incredible grip I couldn’t do it with my fingers they kept slipping every time I was only able to get it with tweezers
4 years later and still super helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the clear demonstration and instruction. Small worked best for me. I was terrified of tearing or ripping the tip while removing the medium tip that it came with, so it was a relief to see how it was done. I also had to tug a little more than gently, and sort of squeezed where the little notches where located as I pulled.
Omg thank you so much! I was afraid to take them off thinking I might break them. I was so upset with the slipping I was going to return them, but by switching I think the issue is fixed! I use the small tips
Small works best for me. I was definitely struggling with removing the medium tip. I was afraid I would rip it. Thanks for the video! Definitely helpful.
Thank you. So easy to do once you showed me how. Appreciated. Oh you’ve won a subscriber now 😀
Great quick how-to! They are Oval! I've had these just a few days and my left outer ear is hurting/sore with the default Medium. I'm switching to Small which definitely fits easier. Still not passing the Ear Tip Fit Test, unless I push them in during the test. Maybe the Medium tip just needs to adjust/form to my ear canal? Funny that Apple doesn't get a quick overview like you -- very important info for these!
Thanks for the great instructions. Per your request, I switched from medium to small. Small is a far better fit for me.
Glad you got a good fit 😀👍
Another small here too
for real they kept falling out my ears with the medium
@@allysoninshanally152 I found the medium fell out easily and with no much movement, my ear would hit the hold control and skip or pause the song or often switch between modes
Same small fits perfectly, when I did the ear tip test it keep saying i needed to adjust and they kept falling out. Now they fit great
Thank you! definitely helped! I use mine when working out and when running the medium size tends to fall out a bit. I was a little nervous to try to change these before, I didn’t want to break them! Changed them to the small size in less than 5 mins, it was much easier than I expected! Thanks!!
Thank u so much for this video! I was so scared of messing them up but they keep popping out of my ears so I had to do something! Very grateful for you showing that a little strength won’t hurt them.
This video was very helpful! Clear demonstration, quick and to the point. Thank you so much! I was able to change to the small tips and I’m so much happier 🥳
Thank you! With your video managed to change from medium to small 😊 Gave the confidence on how to do it effectively as before seemed was going to tear them, yet they were frequently falling out when leaning forward so had to be done! Thanks ☺️
I'm glad it helped and thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks for the helpful demonstration. As others mentioned, it was super hard to remove the inserts the first time. You gave me confidence! I wound up wearing one small and one medium tip. Weird!
I still like the fit of the traditional airpods the best.
Me too! My left ear is smaller than my right apparently
This is so helpful! I've had these for months and hardly used them because I could not figure out how to change out the medium tips for the small ones. I can finally wear these comfortably!
This video was VERY helpful and I was able to change the buds out with no problem. The medium were just too big, so switching to the smaller ones is WAY better for me. Thank you for the help!
Agreed. Small for me, too
smalls for me too they just kept popping out i could feel them slowly starting to fall out until they eventually did 😂
Thank you! Very helpful; I'm using the small tips!
Thank you for this! Very easy to do once I knew how! Thank you!
I had to put the small tips on.
Thank you for the quick and straight-to-the point demonstration on how to do this, all while keeping your fingers out of the way of what it is we need to be seeing, which is all too common in UA-cam videos. As others had mentioned, yes, it's more than just a gentle pull. For me, I would describe it as firm, slow, and strong. And a reminder: unroll them, and GRIP AND PULL FROM THE BASE. Someone commented that they ripped theirs apart; I'm guessing they were pulling from the wrong end.
Might I also add for anyone else that is having trouble with using the Press Controls to Play, Pause, Skip Forward or Skip Back, I found a fix not on the AirPods themselves, but on my iPhone.
At first I thought they were defective; happy to know it was just a small adjustment needed. Here's what I did:
1. Go to "Settings,"
2. Then to "Accessibility"
3. Then to "AirPods"
4. Then to "Press and Hold Duration" section
I tried all three options options, (Default, Shorter, and Shortest) I settled on on "Shortest." That seemed to be the right speed for the way I press the AirPods. Obviously, you might find another setting that better suits you.
I did experiment with the "Press Speed" choices (Default, Slower, and Slowest), but they didn't seem to have any effect on the way I was using them; perhaps it will be different for you.
Couldn't be happier with them so far; I am absolutely AMAZED by the noise cancellation quality, unlike anything else I've ever used in the past.
I just ordered an aftermarket ear loop specifically for AirPods Pro on Amazon, because I know otherwise that these things are going to fall out of my ears and I'm going to lose them.
yes, the noise cancellation is insane!! i got mine for my misophonia, and its uncanny how silent things are!!
The small fits best. The medium kept falling out on one side. THanks!
thank you for this video! i was so scared of breaking them when switching to the small tips!
You're welcome Tatjana 👍
Thank you so much for this! I was terrified to change these but desperately needed to. The medium tip fit okay in my ear without a daith piercing but I need the small for my ear with the daith ring. The bud kept falling out during workouts and when I spoke. I switched both to the small size and it’s much better!
great informative and straight to the point video! thank you!
anyone else really only watch the video bc they thought their eatbud was going tp rip? The advise I give, pretend your trying to rip it and it will come out! YOU NEED TO PULL VERY HARD!!!
Yes!! Lol
You were more helpful than the video lol
Just switched to the small tips after using the medium ones for over 6 months haha soo much better!!
Size small here too! :)
Omg same! Lmao the medium left pod was fine, but the right one wasn’t snug enough.
Samee! The medium tips were just too big the air pods kept falling off.
I switched to the small ones much much better!
@@jayw27 lol omg that’s exactly how mine were, the right ALWAYS became loose, while the left was perfect! We must have the same ears
@@shadeshiest22 yeah we must lol luckily sizing down fixed the problem for me
Great video! Thanks for the info. I found that if you grasped the tip just right, it was easily & gently removed. I definitely found a big difference going to the small sized tip.
Thank you for the concise information and demonstration. So often people clutter their videos with graphics and introductions. I like how you just jumped into the information, that earned you a like and comment, which is something I don’t do often 😊
Reading the comments, in addition to the video, was super helpful. Another thing that helped me a lot was pulling the extra tips off the container/plastic sheet they come attached to. It gave me a better feel for the amount of tug needed, and the direction to pull, when exchanging the tips on the earbuds.
Thank you for your video! Just received my AirPods today and didn’t want to ruin things when changing tips. Thanks again!
Thank you so much, this was so helpful! Wanted to switch it out for a small tip, but didn't want to break brand new AirPods. Thanks again!
THANKS SO MUCH!! I like the small tips better! I’ll do the fit test right now.
Thanks for the video. It gets straight to the point with no fluff.
just bought them recently and only the right one was popping out. i have a medium on the left and a small and the right and it works great now!
Thanks for sharing jongdream bih!
Thank you so much lol the rubber part of my tip ripped off so the hard plastic part was still inside and I was scared to pull it out in case it was a part of the air pod. This video helped a lot so thank you!
Thank you so much! I didn’t know about the tips until someone told me the pros came with different sizes small definitely is my size so much more comfortable and stay in my ear 👂
Thank you this was really helpful, the Mediums honestly just hurt the ears so much. Smalls are perfect!
Glad it helped James!
Thank you! So clear and helpful was scared of breaking them, but good old apple, its all pretty straightforward isn't it. Medium kept popping out for me, so pleased to have the small fitting snuggly now, hoping i can exercise without them falling out now! Great video.
I’m glad this video exists because I accidentally ripped the plastic ear tip away from the hard connecting piece and was wondering why I couldn’t get the new ear tips on, you really helped me
Thanks for making this a hell of a ton lot easier ,I usually get worried or struggle a lot removing the ear tip, but this method has made it easier .
Glad it helped Aaditya ❤️
This was helpful thanks! Felt like i was breaking mines too lol! Size small the medium was falling out of my ears 😭
Glad it helped ❤️
I love when a video gets straight to the point. Thank you!
I watched a few videos on this and this one help the most, thanks! Rolling the top part up is what helped me the most, otherwise I could not get the ear tip off.
Small works for me and thanks for showing how to swap these out. I was hesitant tugging on the end piece that connects it to the base.
Thanks bc I was struggling
Excellent demonstration. So glad I watched; I would have broken SOMETHING! Like the comment from Brian Miller, it felt like I was about to rip the soft rubber.
Since you asked to report which size works best, i used Apple's "Ear tip fit test". Amazing! Ended up with medium in left ear; large in right! Our bodies are distinctly asymmetrical.
I’ve had AirPod pro for while now & never tried using different size in each ear. As I just tried small, medium & large but all three have never been a perfect fit but going to try what you’ve done as use them constantly.
Thanks for your comment 👍🏻
Thank you for the video. I thought I was going to break my air pods if I kept pulling at it. And the small works best for me, I kept hanging up my calls trying to adjust the medium in my ear.
Thank you a lot! I got these airpods in february and until now they have been falling off while im doing stuff like excercising or just walking around. This helped! Great video.
Strangely enough I use the smalls. In general I am not really a small guy, but the mediums keep slowly pushing out of my ears.
I did the “fit test” on both medium and small and both were good.
I am glad I played around with the sizes as not only do the smalls stay in place, they also feel “lighter” in my ears. (The medium put some pressure on my ears making it noticeable that I had headphones in).
Its handy that they provide different sizes for all👍
Thank you, really useful! I for one use the small ear tips
It’s so hard for me to put the small ones in any tips??
Thank you for explaining cuz I pull it and thought I was gonna break it I had to pull a little harder than gently but it came right off and the small for me works best . Thanks again 👍
Thanks for this. i had struggled to follow Apple's instructions and got no where. With your video I was able to switch to the small tips within a few minutes. They stay in my ears much better now.
That's great, I love that you've got a fit that's better!!!👍
OMG!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! The medium size just wouldn't stay seated & was mortified I would lose one or both! Following your video step by step I easily replaced my medium tips to the small tips and they fit so much better. Success!!!!
So glad it helped, thanks for sharing 👍😀
I should’ve watched this first. Just broke my AirPod trying to pull the tip off. Disconnected wires and everything. And I’ve only had them for a few days. FML
I did the same
i just had them for 10 minutes
Same happebed to me but I realised its wrong to hold it like in this video so that’s why i broke it
Thank you very much for your help. The just changed to the small tips so hopefully these will be the best fit.
I agree with @Brian Miller . I had to apply a little more force to remove the earpiece and there was a moment where my heart sank. So I looked for a guide and that's how I ended up here. Rolling back the silicone ear piece does make removing it a lot easier. I found pinching the base of the ear piece on the sides opposite of the notches helped.
Which eartip size fits you best?
The largest one
I’m debating trying the smaller one, since the medium almost seems too big, since they only stay in, when I’m sitting, and not moving my head....
@@Ryand0523 you should I switched from using the largest to the medium one and they flitted perfectly
The smallest size. Thank you so much for your help!! Cheers 🥰
The small
i’m trying the smalls right now because the medium kind of hurt my ears thank u this helped so much!! 🤍
I do appreciate the help! The xs works for me!! 😊😊
Brilliant, thank you! I appreciate your brevity and getting straight to the point. Subscribed!
Funny thing about my ears is that only the right one used to drop from my ear because it was too big. The left one is perfect as medium. Now they are perfectly balanced😎
As all things should be
Giving the smalls a test. The Mediums were hurting my inner ear.
Same
And it keep falling out
From factory they came with medium but left pod kept dropping off. I changed them to large and it worked like a charm. Thank you for the clear demonstration.
Glad you got a good fit ❤️
Thank you for your video. Very helpful. I use the small tip in left and medium in the right because apparently my ear canals are different sizes. I did the fit test which came back good. I've also walked around the house for a bit and the left one hasn't fallen out. I was having that issue before swapping to the smaller size. Thanks again.
You're welcome MCS, having the swappable tips is a real benefit, all the best 👍
didnt realize there was plastic in the tips and thought i broke my gfs airpods lmfao thank you for this video
I just broke my AirPod😐😰
How
This was so very helpful! Thank you for making this video.
One was easy to remove, the other very hard, but I was brave and yanked on it. It finally came out. I'm using the small ones as I believe I have freakishly small ears for an adult. Happy to see many other people who prefer the small size, maybe I'm not such a freak after all 😆. Thanks for the help!!
Is it weird that my left needs a big tip and that my right needs the medium?
nope. its completely normal
nah its normal
Medium on the right side just kept falling out of my ear...Switched to large and hey presto - its now as snug as a bug 😉
Me to
I love your nails man. Well groomed. I wanted to change my AirPods tips and when I pulled were bit resistant so didn’t want to break them 😂 thanks
Thanks so much! Not falling out now since switch to size small, video gave me the courage to "gently tug" the mediums out
Small
All glory to God. God bless you, yours and everyone around you.
Thank you so much Melina, blessings and love to you too ❤️
Excellent - clear, easy to understand, no translator required, quick and to the point - can’t stand ramblers. Thanks!
thanks for the tutorial, not sure why it wouldn't let go when I was trying it, but my ear tips popped right off after watching your video!
Brilliant demo …we struggled putting them back on ..wrong side laugh..make sure put correct cap on each air pod..great demo thanks
Thank you so much for the video . It definitely takes more than a gentle pull to remove it. Small size definitely works better for me .
Thanks for the video!! I was suffering with the medium! Not a good fit
Got these as a gift, thought I was pulling too hard. Very helpful, thank you and happy holidays!
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks for this!!!
Thank you this was helpful! Small all the way! Medium was falling out
Small fits my ears best. The medium ones hurt my ears. Thank you for your help!
I just changed mine to the large tips with your tutorial, they feel soooooo much better, thanks!
Thank you so much ❤
Thanks so much!! The Medium kept falling out of my ear. I put large in and now I think I’m good
Thank you! Changed from medium to small and it was a huge improvement!
do you feel any differences with the ANC between S and M? I actually like Small too but the ANC ain't better than medium.
Thanks for the vid! Scrolling down the comment section is definitely helpful! The left side was hard to pull off but the right side was easy peasy. Snapping the new ones in was super easy.
Thank you! I Turns out the small work better for me -- the medium were hurting my ears so much. I still get that amazing noise cancellation with the small ones. :)
Same here!
Thanks! i thought that i had broken my airpod, but seems that every replacement had its own plastic piece, nice!! the old one got broken but with the replacements they are like new!
Thanks a ton mate your video is so much better and simpler than anything else I watched!
