Faa Mai is an elephant born at Elephant Nature Park and is now 15 years old. She has never suffered the cruel torture of the training process that baby elephants are often forced to endure. We followed Faa Mai for a day, observing every footstep as she roamed freely through the sanctuary. Freedom is in her blood. She walks wherever she wants to go and teaches other elephants to realize the importance of freedom. Watch how much fun she has and how cute she is when she interacts with other elephants. Faa Mai is gorgeous 😍 Until I read the description, I didn't know she was actually born at ENP. I understand now why her bond with Lek is so close! She is one of the lucky few elephants there to have not suffered terribly at the hands of mankind. I imagine her vibrant & happy personality would be a comfort & inspiration to the poor broken souls that are rescued 🥰🙏❤️🐘

Faa Mai is especially good looking, with no scars or injuries. I often wonder why some elephants don't wander away from ENP, onto land where they might get into trouble ? I don't see any fences.

I'm getting tired of complaints about the music. The purpose of these videos is to draw more awareness about the sanctuary, and if they feel a little happy music will help the cause, then why not.
I know you already feel empathy and love towards these beautiful creatures. You know their names, their personalities, the hardships they went through, and how they are healing. But other people are coming across these videos for the first time, and for many of them a video with music can help keep their attention and access their emotions more than one without. That's the nature of the visual medium: music can help elicit strong emotion, it can help put your point across.
And it's not like the video doesn't have the sounds at ENP. You can still hear the elephants' happy sounds -- their splashing, trumpeting, squeaking, rumbling, ear-flapping, and trunk-thumping. You can still hear the river and the birds.
Furthermore, not all videos have music. Some don't. Some have commentary, others don't.
