Nice video hitting it in a few weeks. good to see a taste of what to expect. may I suggest you put your spot device on or in your jacket should you get tossed from your ride and unable to crawl to it you can then reach for help. Just saying, safe travels
Thanks for watching the vid, hope it helps. The WY BDR is a good route indeed. As for the SPOT, depending on the trip I do determine the placement of that device. However after riding through 18 countries and 3 continents without the need for one its primarily used as a wife tracker LOL. If I wasn't married I would never have one.
I came to your channel through your 70k review of the A* Toucan boot. Are you comfortable with the protection level the Toucan’s provide for that level of riding? I have a R1250GS and about 3yrs of experience but no BDRs yet. Also in the Denver area.
Absolutely! For an all around boot these do have the most protection for on and off the pavement. Most of the guys that ride with me have ended up buying these boots as well and they love them to bits. There skill level is not to my level however they are very comfortable and feel save wearing the Toucans. I also have Tech 10s and the new BMW GS Comp boots but only end up putting those on just depending on the terrain or trip im doing. But I will always say to someone buy the boot that is within your budget, your style of riding, and longevity expectations. Being youre in the Denver area if you ever want to meet up for a chat im more than happy too.
Yes it was crazy what happened to my friend Jonathan. I would have had all it on video but once we started hitting the twisty's is when I realized i didnt change out my battery. Saw the entire thing through my right wing mirror and was almost like slow motion. Couldnt believe it. For the most part I was just riding around Rio Rancho a bit ago again and also when when I went to drop my trailer off at a friends before heading down to Baja but if youre ever in the area could always meet up. Im in Denver. PS I liked your vids on your YT channel.
@@RockyMountainMotoAdventures We’ll be here another 3 years, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to do the COBDR before we leave!! Would love to tag along with a group like yours!! Still need to knock out the NMBDR first….this year….hopefully!

Not a fan of the music choice, but the content is great!! What a ride.....excluding the drug one-legged quad dude incident. Glad Jonathan is okay!!

@@twobikesandadrone The NMBDR is a lot of fun as well. I think we did it during July or August and that was a hot hot trip for sure
So, I took a wrong turn as usual!
Must have been listening to Billy idol while riding lol
