you hair in the back is black, does the purple changes it? if it does it's not good to apply it there. I am transitioting but I am feeling older than what I am. It's not looking good :(
@@ThePlay3000 Hang in there!! I just responded to another silver sister with the same concerns. Try wearing a bright jewel toned top, bright lipstick and earrings. You can also use little clips in your hair to make a cute style and add some interest. Those were some of my favorite tricks when I had gray hair. XO
@@ThePlay3000 The purple can be used on any color and it does tint the black and helps it blend with the silver. XO
@@Beauty101byLisa I see, I hated everytime they would color my natural black hair, I am letting my greys grow and blend them with highlights... it's getting there.

Exactly what I was thinking soft scrub is the only cream bleach that doesn’t have a lot of toxins. to clean our toilets. We just need a drop of organic soap, we don’t need all of the toilet, cleaners, glass cleaners. You can use vinegar and water, but soft scrub for bathtubs. And Murphy’s oil Shoppe for wood floors cabinets. just like people that have Glade plug-ins. Those are toxic, air sprays, air fresheners those are toxic candles unless there are 100% beeswax, are toxic. And she was dumping the chemicals down the drain again not where you put chemicals. And then you have to recycle all that plastic. 👈🏻♻️

Perfumes are a little more difficult but we have found some really great clean cruelty free dupes

Oh Lisa, when something is toxic one NEVER adds it to water! It’s collected in the municipal waste water plants, and even when the water is treated it’s still in the water, and gets out into the environment. When something is really toxic, even medications, NEVER pore it down the sink. Simply throw it into the trash for the landfill.

@@Beauty101byLisa And if you’re willing to take extra care for our environment, any hazardous materials (including medications) can be taken to your Solid Waste center. They always take such items (paints, bleaches, contaminated containers, hazardous hair and nail products….everything) so that it doesn’t end up in the landfill, and they can incinerate or recycle it.
The products Lisa poured down the sink were meant to be poured down the sink they weren't high grade industrial chemicals...get a grip.

We have the HIGHEST CANCER RATES IN THE WORLD and our wildlife have ESTROGEN DOMINANCE where even birds can’t fertilize eggs because the males can’t produce sperm. Don’t believe me? Watch the Big Bend Live Eagle cam here on UA-cam. Those eagles have laid 16 eggs in 7 years and only two were fertilized which hatched and created baby eagles. Why do you think the gay movement in men has suddenly skyrocketed, especially within cities? Estrogen dominance has disrupted their minds and bodies. Why do you think the breast cancer rate in women has exponentially increased and has gotten younger and younger? Waste water treatment plants cannot remove pharmaceuticals or complex chemicals, so it ends up in nature and big rivers, which big cities rely upon as drinking water.

Been using semipermanent for 15 years to cover my grays (I custom mixed a golden honey copper color tho). Thought I'd offer a suggestion - if you used a semipermanent color on your grays that was more of a warm plum or burgundy it would literally blend seamlessly with your mids and ends. When looking for a new color, literally hold the ends of your hair up to the swatch on the screen and see what matches. There are so many beautiful warm plums and burgundy semi permanents out there that one will be a dead on match to your mids and ends. 😍

Unfortunately nothing works as great as just bite the bullet, cut the hair to chin length, Get your hair cut every 6 wks, + before you know it- done deal. Btw- I thought you looked gorgeous when you had your hair straight, chin length + all your own natural black+ grey. I was surprised that you dyed it brown, - I would have just gotten layers+ cut it a little. I haven’t had any color whatsoever in my hair for about 4 yrs. Such a pleasure to not have to spend $$$ at the salon! Also- my hair is in fantastic shape! Can’t wait to see you au natural again!!🤗💓

A 50 year old trying to be 20.
Any color, permanent or semipermanent, will enter your hair shaft and change the hair. It will no longer be color free. Several people I’ve seen have had issues with these bright colors never fading. Best way (unfortunately) is cold turkey. You will never truly know what your natural gray/silver is until you stop coloring completely.

I'm going to check out your non-toxic recommendations at your Amazon store and also check out Yuka. Thanks Lisa! I'm betting I'm going to get anywhere from a D or F or even an F- (LOL) after I check things I still have on hand on Yuka. Looks like I'll be throwing out a lot of stuff. I've turned over a new (organically grown) leaf beginning last year and am totally on board with becoming much more diligent about healthier options for all products and all foods from here on out....
Idk from experience but a friend of mine said after she used Splat (she had Virgin hair after 4 years of growing it out & it was a dark dirty blonde color naturally) but it wouldn’t come out of her hair. It stained her floor (which to me stuff happens but for her being a renter it is a major issue) I’m not trying to be discouraging, I just wanted to share what I’ve heard. I’ll never use it based on what my friend went through. But she used a reddish mahogany type of color and she thinks that that could be the reason. Reds are harder to remove whether it be semi/Demi/permanent hair color. Good luck!!❤

Hang in there girlfriend!! Try wearing a bright jewel toned top, bright lipstick and earrings. You can also use little clips in your hair to make a cute style! Those were some of my favorite tricks when I had gray hair. XO

Every formula complies with the European Union Cosmetics Regulation (EUCR) and FDA requirements. I just didn't care for their mascara. I like Mini Lights, Camera,
$15.00 and Amazonian mascara. My mini Ilia was good too. I heard Milani is great and low price. So far I love their Week End Brow Pen gives a fine pen to draw hair thin hair upward strokes. Essence eyeliner is fab and 3.99 and stays on with no eye irritation for my sensitive eyes. Huda Beauty concealer and Pixi undereye in peach for dark circles. Just a tiny dab, Natasha Denova eyeshadow is pricey but last. Color Pop is also great.IT for blush (same one Lisa uses)

Im wondering how you will transition from the purple if the temporary dye doesn’t wash or strip out completely. Will you let the roots go and just grow out the purple? I don't understand how the coconut hair oil scored 100? Not too long ago there was a big thing about how those products contained ingredients that cause hair loss. Maybe they reformulated?

It really depends on how much I love the product and if I am able to find a comparable replacement. XO
Those “temporary” colors don’t wash out easily and sometimes not at all. If you truly want your gray back, you must stop coloring. I’m speaking from experience!

I totally agree.... as a hairstylist for 43 years, I would say she's not doing herself any favors by not just letting the color grow out naturally.. maybe shortening her natural hair length so the process doesn't feel like it's taking quite as long.

@@robertamandab7932 it depends on the porosity of your hair and whether you’re putting it over virgin or processed hair. Whatever the situation, you can usually count on the opposite of what you want when it comes to hair dye! Lol!

Well, I down loaded the yuka app and went around scanning all my products. Everything was bad or really bad. Only product that got a good was a hair paste by fructise. All my foundation and even lotion recommended by Angie (hot and flashy) was a 0.
I feel you girlfriend!! It's so scary but we have to take our time making healthy changes. Otherwise it becomes stressful and stress is toxic too! At least we can make small changes now and be informed for future purchases. XOXO

Yes Iroiro was more permanent than permanent on my hair but that's why I loved it. Also the purple with this line is way more blue tinted so just be prepared for that as well.

Just let the natural hair grow out, not the fake grey over your natural grey like you did before. Your natural colour is very complimentary.
If you stop using dye altogether, then during the first year, wear your hair up or back so it’s not so stark and hides that line from being so harsh.

Your gray will be fabulous! Mine came in white but I cut it as short as I could stand then wala. It’s been 10 years since I stopped putting the chemistry set on my head and so happy I did. There’s recipes on UTube using dried flowers you can get at the health food store for a homemade conditioner. I haven’t made it but planning on getting the ingredients today.

Lisa, you have had vibrant colors for a while now - purples and before that reds. I wonder about how you will really feel about adjusting to gray - which is not vibrant. Gray hair can be beautiful but not vibrant and attention getting like vibrants.
Even though I am naturally brunette, when I have stopped getting brighter blondish highlights- my hair color seemed dull in comparison.
Healthy silver hair can be very vibrant….especially when the light hits it. I constantly get compliments on mine. The trick is keeping a modern cut, having a signature style so the rest of you looks put together….and, of course, rocking it with confidence!

Washing hair before coloring it will damage your hair. It needs the natural oils in it when you color it.
Oh yes absolutely for permanent hair dye. However this is semi-permanent color and the directions specifically say to apply on clean, dry hair. I also use lots of styling products that need to be washed out first 😘
