Have you ever had any problems with the key or flywheel doing this? Normally an offset key is used but I can’t see 25ccs having enough power to cause issues.
Need to explain how you came up with the .035. The make sure the know that they install the key as to roll the flywheel forward If the key is in backwards it’ll not help advance but could retard the timing!! ! ! !

Thank you, would it be just as well to file the keyway in the flywheel? Probably harder to measure progress tho.
The key is replaceable, and very inexpensive, so it’s better to experiment with that rather than the fly wheel itself! Hope this helps!
Less than a dollar vs around $50. I wouldn’t mess around with the flywheels they’re usually soft aluminum and easy to mess up.
