crazy stuff. his shoulders must be made of steel by now. I don't think I could even do 1, but then again I just started calisthenics. I typed that previous sentence before I saw the part of the kid when he asked the question. Honestly that was heartbreaking. I feel for that kid. I used to work 15+ years in public education, and you can see it in their eyes when they come up to you because they see something in you as a man because they don't catch any of that at home (for which ever reason), and it comes from a natural, deeply ingrained desire as a male. A lot of these young boys *want* to learn and be taught [at least the basics of] stuff like woodworking, maintaining and tuning up cars/trucks/vehicles, welding, using outdoor power equipment, throwing footballs, playing sports, and stuff like that that most working men are doing at home to maintain their life & family. Whether or not his mom sent him to ask, you can tell he was asking for himself as well. That took guts; if that were me as a kid I probably wouldn't have had the guts for whatever reason. I don't work with kids in education anymore, but I sure do miss making those kinds of connections here and there.

This is the reality of modern life. There are many little boys without dads and that is one reason for the confusion that they later have in life. They need a father figure, but he is not there. It is sad. There are many reasons for this. One would be the sad reality of war. Men get killed and that means there are less dads. Also men run away from responsibility of having a child because they themselves did not have a strong father. Boys especially crave a father who likes to do things with them such as sports and other physical activities such as camping, hiking, etc. It is very sad if a boy does not have this opportunity. It breaks my heart to see this.
