I have the 1970's Ashford Traditional. I received it in pieces from the Ashford company. As a 19 yr old knitter I was excited but timid in assembling a wooden project. But after sanding each piece, staining them and assembling it I was a proud girl. My "buddy" and I gave been spinning together since 1973. I taught my granddaughter how to spin yarn on it two years ago and bought her an e spinner for Christmas last year. This year she wants a floor wheel.
I have wanted an Ashford Elizabeth but have not been able to find one usable in my price range. The hunt is still on for the elusive Elizabeth wheel.

I have a Traveler. Bought it 25 yrs back expressly because it was small and suited for my limited living spaces. Works like a dream for me. Only 11# and easy to cart back and forth.
I have a Traveller that I bought from a friend that was downsizing her stash. I didn't really want it at the time
, but I absolutely love it!! It is my favorite out of My S10, Ashford Traditional , and Polonaise. it is very nice., I just wanted to say that.

I am interested in purchasing a wheel but really want to spend time test driving and learning the in's and out's of spinning. Now, it seems like the e-spinners are more for fine yarns is this so? This video is perfect and I will search for more. I subscribed and hope to see more spinners spinning and going over parts of the spinner for a beginner like me!!! Thanks great job!! In my humble opinion, e-spinners are absolutely best at fine spinning. They also are great for playing can do art yarns, however.... Depending on the art yarn you are making it may not have enough uptake. Definitely stay tuned in as we will get in to more spinning as the year progresses!! Welcome to The Blue Fiber Tree's family 💙

What I'd love is a speed regulator on my e-Spinner foot pedal.
I believe the foot pedal is just an on off switch. The speed should be controlled on the speed dial on the front of the unit. Does this help? Jeannine

I had the chance to purchase my choice of Ashford wheels 2 years back and settled for the Kiwi 3 and have never regretted it. Saved for quite a while and added the jumbo flyer, I spin for primarily socks and rug yarn and thoroughly enjoy my kiwi. Next on my savings list is a drum carder.

Your shop looks like a very dangerous place. A person might go in, simply intent on getting, let's say, some more oil for their spinning wheel and come out with several bags full of purchases.

You can get a larger orifice for the Grady and I would say it is the most versatile wheel there and is in no way restricted to lace weight. Sorry but you guys are wrong
