- This video is a from the heart chat about where I am and where I hope to go, with the help of my technical department. As she is the brains side of this channel and I wouldn't be here if it was not for her believing in me! I am quite a stubborn and very independent person in reality, yet have come to terms that no one man can be an island! He needs a canoe sometimes?
This channel has come about due to my "technical department" telling me I have a story to tell? I have not had the belief in myself nor been that comfortable about this channel concept, yet to continue my support for her and to demonstrate that sometimes we all have to push through uncomfortable situations! Here I am attempting (with what knowledge I have) to show you all that a more simple life can be a more fulfilling life.

I was thinking how good it would be to help kids/teenagers from “naughty kids schools” PRU unit - pupil referral…. They could do a short course with you… grounds maintenance etc…. The funding is there

I must admit I do love watching your chickens when you show them. And as for the quality of the egg's? Supermarket egg's just won't taste the same again. Lucky for me i can get fresh eggs just a couple of miles away from me. Yet really want to have my own.
I think there is something interesting in your channel because a lot of people want to go off grid .

I can tell how difficult it is for you the thought of accepting money off people, I can relate! You have such a great opportunity though and definitely make the most of it. A friend said big white one's as they make for good eating? But i Am wanting laying hens, yet not sure as to which breed i will settle on?
@@themanofthewoodsa Variety perhaps. We kept a few when I was growing up my mothers favourite eggs were from the Bantams smaller but with rich yolks.

I work fulltime and have a house that I'll sell and downsize when i get a woodland then spend lots of time in the wood and use the house as a base.

People are not happy to work like programmed robot slaves of the system but stuff that means nothing to create an illusion for the outside world....out of enptyness.
Sad to see that a lot of people thinks happyness starts with extern factors like status, money, material things that means nothing and its relativ and an illusion create by society.....
The more people around you, the more expectations, judge, comparing, hate, negativity, jealousy, double standards, violent, sneakyness, own benefits etc....reflection of their broken souls.

We live in Cork Ireland and ever since we have been hooked to your channel. I have a brother too that loves your channel too. Both my sister and myself live with a load of animals including Jessie our jack russell, goats and hens. We also grow all our own vegetables and like you we hope to cut down in the reliance of processed food. From the first video that livernation done I could see your a truly amazing and honest man. -Video diaries are wonderful for following the overall story and short video ‘how-tos’ are immensely useful to help so many of us looking to achieve a more sustainable future.
-please consider opening up your space for you to run skills workshops to teach even more people (you could even charge people for a workshop so your goal of getting chickens becomes a little easier too!!)

Just found your channel. I and my partner have just bought our couple of acres in South Wales at 53 & 59. I love to see your relationship with the dogs as I am the same - love them more than any human. People think we are mad, but mostly they wish to be so brave. We are stuck in a touring caravan whilst we get sorted. I have also found the offers of voluntary help overwhelming, but good people want to know they have made a difference for a positive reason. My skill set has gone from practically zero to a multitude of abilities. Animal husbandry, crops, bread/beer/wine making, cheese and yoghurt making to name but a few. It's a great lifestyle- muddy and hard work, but great.

Also - consider in the future channel memberships - you can do a live specifically for members once a week as a perk. I love being a member of some of my fav channels it is another way to support than watch the ads! Just found you, I too, love camp out west, now to go through your back catalogue! That was a struggle wasn't it. If it helps, there are very many people here on YT who want to support people in doing things they just either aren't brave enough to do themselves or just cannot do given their current circumstances. I know it grates against your principals but Ko-fi, Patreon whatever it is allows them to feel like they are helping someone do what they want to and to learn through you being brave in the now, for when their now comes (whether it does or not). I can highly recommend genuine Blackrock Chickens. Long living and highlybselected for free range living. A tight feathered breed. Only one person breeds them. He lives in Scotland but sends chicks down south to sell. I collected mine from Ludlow in Shropshire. Great birds. Good luck.

I love it ask the girls for advice. On the positive point out of every negative there is a positive. Just be cautious of those who become inflamed with jealousy over your achievements. You are not alone with the technology I just press the keys and hope for the best. Chickens are wonderful, we had a cockerel in our village but people complained about him waking them up. I loved him. I hope you get support with this because of your humility.
