In this video, we're going to share the love/hate relationship with our RV floorplan and share what we would change if there were no restrictions! We'll also discuss the benefits and drawbacks of different floorplans and how the industry as a whole needs a remodel!

I agree very strongly with the last one you said. Having a lemon law for RVs would be helpful in holding RV manufacturers accountable for quality. It's so hard to get service within a reasonable time for an RV that I think this is something that can make or break a company if they institute this policy.
Great point! Too, if the product was of better quality, it would keep more RV's on the road and out of the shop. In theory, shortening turn around time for repairs. Thanks for watching!

Great points! Agree on the East West bed.. it was a non negotiable for us. If you get that Trillions of Dollars.. I would like to be on the committee to help "Research" and spend the money to make the industry better. I think that some manufacturers are starting to listen to the end users a bit more. But it does take a lot to change the attitudes and culture of the industry. See ya soon!

Finally a solitude in the group, we love our 310gk. It’s funny that all 6 are towable, no drivables. I made it to all 6 videos. Ours came with a a dishwasher, we love it, don’t need a washer /dryer. They are all built lol ke crap, we agree. Larry

Until the government gets involved with some regulations and lemon laws, the manufactures will continue to do whatever they want when it comes to quality. It's sad just how bad the quality actually is. We were in an $80K MSPR 5th wheel yesterday that had trim pieces coming off around the slideout and there was so much saw dust and metal shavings on the floor from transport that I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy. Great video!
Same experience for us when walking through new units. The quality is just junk, and the dealers are so used to it that they just say, "Eh, we'll fix that when you buy it." One of the ones we walked in had a huge pool of water on the floor of the master bedroom from rain. The salesman could have cared less. Somebody bought it, though... Thanks for watching!
Yes, the manufactures/designers make things look appealing until you try to put it into practice. When something minor goes wrong you need a world atlas for directions or the ability to get to the problem. My unit you need to take apart the entire outside water panel assembly to get at the water pump to replace. Also, I have to undo all the harnesses and drop the cabin batteries on the ground to put water in the cheap lead acid batteries they put in. Yes, I love my motorhome but come on. Great collaboration.

Love the collaborations!! And agree with you about the quality. The regulating body should govern mergers and acquisitions. It seems the bigger the company the less they need to care about their customer service.

The RVIA, that you pay for the sticker, is supposed to organize and watch over the manufacturers. If they just did their job, things might get better.
The washer and dryer location (in the closet) has always been a deal breaker for me. Nope! Will never buy a rig if the w/d are not in a separate closet.

There should be a Buyers Bill of Rights. Unfortunately the RV Industry has enough clout and lobbyist to keep the things the gray.

Be careful what you wish for. If "government" gets involved, most people could no longer afford a RV.
I completely understand what you're saying and agree. Although, RV prices have already skyrocketed over the past 4 years to where most people can no longer afford a new unit. RV lots are full, with many of those new units being on the lot for over a year queuing huge discounts. Manufacturers have shut down production in many cases, which is forcing layoffs industry-wide. Again, we agree with what you said but feel the price would be controlled by the checks and balances of sales and not by the governing quality control. Thanks for watching!
