Serpent Sphere X - Prototype Test Footage

This game prototype showcases a unique method of locomotion in VR, allowing the player to fly freely through the environment with a surprising amount of precision.
The Dragon Ball Z-inspired gameplay came to be as a result of my desire to create an experience that allows the player to engage in a "Power fantasy" scenario where they are given fantastic destructive abilities, but at the same time pitting the player against an opponent with powers that exceed the player's, creating a dynamic in which the player feels powerful, yet still must fear the power of their adversary.
This unique scenario would, ideally, create a unique emotional state in the player: A state where they feel a rush of child-like wonder and fun, while at the same time feeling the urge to rise up against this challenge and overcome it using their newfound ability.
