i enjoy 22 i think it's a very good game sure still needs fixing in certain area's but never the less it's good but i agree that it doesnt compare to older game's since these had personatitly and special move's had so much character to them

The animations in HCTP are still unmatched. Not only for devastating they look, but how each move captures the essence of the wrestlers it's based on. Goldberg's spear looked like it would kill a man, just like IRL. Benoit's headbutt could knock out both himself and his opponent. Lesnar's F5 executed with raw power like he's tossing around a piece of meat. The list is endless. Honourable mention to the sfx. They add just as much to the impact.

I think you just hit the finisher button when you have a chair with Taker. Taker did it in real life from late 2001-2002 so it was added into games around that time.
