Everyone rants on about HCTP, but I think this was the best, most complete yet fun game in the whole series. I only ever only Smackdown 1, 06 and 07 (barely played this) and 06 just had it all. Even the career storylines were cool and full of plot twists.
I personally didn't like the stamina stuff, it made things very boring when you and your opponent didn't have any left, made some moments weird and slow. The season mode was very addictive, I played this game more with the managing in season mode than actually playing matches because it was so damn good. The roster was good also, great game. Still one of my favourite wwe games, just after HCTP
Considering the fact this games turns 17 this year, the graphic is still amazing . And 06 got one of the best variations of matches . THQ really did an amazing job back then

@TheBestFighter 2007 is a downgrade. Altering control movement with no option used from the previous games slowed the game down. Plus lacking GS codes for caw mode and game modes made it a lame game.
And even when they do give us arcade style games it’s WAAAY overboard like WWE Battle Grounds, where there’s sharks and stuff in the game, like wtf? No why can’t we get this style of arcade games back?

Yeah, that career mode was the best they ever did. The storylines actually felt like things that could really happen on programming.

SVR2006 did not have an arcade feel. They moved away from that after HCTP.
