- The Royals sent Michael Wacha to the mound looking to even the series vs. the Rays and Wacha continued his stretch of strong pitching. The righty twirled a quality start, allowing just 1 run over 6.0 innings and striking out 8. Trailing by a run in the 3rd, back-to-back RBI hits from Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino put the Royals on top. Salvador Perez added to the lead in the 7th with a 2-run single. The Royals turned to James McArthur in the 8th inning and McArthur answered the bell with a 5-out save, with a little help from some spectacular defense from Kyle Isbel, to close out the game and even the series vs. the Rays at a game a piece.

I was at this game, and the crowd was the most electric I've ever seen it in my life. We had a wave that everyone was in on go all the way around the stadium 3 times, right before Isbel made that awesome catch - everyone went *crazy* for Pérez when he had Garcia and Witt in scoring position, and even crazier when he got a hit - James McArthur had the coolest walkout ever and everyone was hyped up with it.. the Pasquatch made multiple appearances - it was a good time.
We needed this one. Good job by Wacha. Timely hitting and amazing catch by Isbel. That was Lorenzo Cain-esque. Hopefully we can start to put some wins together now. Go Royals!
Id say it’s a bit more Gordon esque due to how often he’d run into the wall

I think we couldve had a win on Tuesday if not for the long rain delay. It was 1-0 when the rain started and Singer was pitching. Then 2 1/2 hour later the game resumes and Schriber is on the mound who gives up a run on 2 hits. The bullpen has not been reliable all season and this just proved that

Once, Kyle Isbel threw a ball to our family at a game we went too between innings. He is a fantastic player and a very nice guy
Dude Kyle Isbel is so damn tough. It's been amazing watching him play this season. Plus he's in centerfield so I can yell I LOVE YOU KYLE every game I go to. I like to think he loves me too.
