    Baked Spaghetti With Cheese Recipe:
    Boil spaghetti in a pot of water with 1TB of oil for 10 minutes then drain then set aside
    Chop up 1 onion, 1/2 green pepper, and 1/4 red pepper
    Season ground beef and sweet Italian sausage meat with Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Seasoning Salt, Oregano season, Italian season, and Black Pepper
    Place in a pan with the onions and peppers and fry til brown
    In a big pot, combine mushroom spaghetti sauce with 2 tbs of sugar. Add the cooked meat to the pot of sauce and the spaghetti
    Add 1-2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and stir
    Place the spaghetti into a baking pan
    Top it with Shredded Mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning
    Bake at 350 for 25 minutes

    I made this last night, and I believe that the sugar made all the difference! Plus, I used spicy italian sausage and it gave it a little kick! That was probably the best spaghetti I ever made!

    I made this as part of our Christmas dinner! (My first time making it this way) my relatives kept saying it was “fire”!! Thank you!! I used a little sugar in this and it didn’t take the “tang” in the sauce away so I added butter to reduce the acidity and the sauce was much better!

    This was the best bake spaghetti and cheese recipe! I followed along and omg, eat bite i took was a piece of heaven.
    I never add oil when i boil the spaghetti noddle just sea salt to give it flavor.

    Good dinner. I am a mushroom lover, also, so I add a few diced fresh button mushrooms when I stir in the spaghetti. They cook up just fine during the bake time. Thanks for a great recipe!

    Using oil when boiling your spaghetti is a mistake. Yes, it keeps the spaghetti from sticking together, but it also creates an oil barrier that prevents your pasta from absorbing flavour from the sauce.

    PhillyBoyJay...I consider myself an amazing cook and you have taught me some stuff....I have NEVER put sugar in mashed potatoes but the lil bit of brown sugar??? OMG...loving your videos...you be COOKING man and the variety of things you make are amazing....thanks for posting! I have some ground turkey thawed out and was looking for something hearty and a lil different to make tonight so Baked Spaghetti it is!!! I usually tweek the recipes a little bit, I'm making this with a bechamel sauce and layering it kinda like lasagna and I don't have any jarred spaghetti sauce so I'm making my own with some canned tomatoes and my NutriBullet

    if you stop adding oil to ur spaghetti when u boil it the sauce and meat will stick better to the noodles... if the water is at a rapid boil the spaghetti won't stick and for the first couple of seconds stir it and u won't have the problem of the noodles sticking....the starch n the pasta also helps the sauce and meat stick better to the spaghetti... also u might want to add some tomato paste or purée for a deeper flavor to ur sauce and also some provolone cheese to bring the cheese flavor out more

      +LA Cleveland I totally agree with your cooking method. NO oil in the boiling water. Also do NOT rinse the cooked pasta. It will rinse away some of the starch. You want this starch so your wet ingredients will stick. Adding a little bit of sugar (but not too much) to the spaghetti sauce will help remove the acid taste that some sauces have. I have been doing it this way for over 53 years, and it always turns out perfect.

    I just tried this yesterday and I followed the instructions exactly, and I would say that I really liked the overall flavor but I think it's way too much seasoning. I would recommend using 1/4 or half of his measurements for seasoning and then taste and add from there. I had added the seasoning as he does and I couldn't really do much to change it after that point. But the overall flavor was great and I'll use this again, just will be adjusting it slightly.

    Add .5 teaspoon baking soda for every 2-3 cups of tomato substances. It will neutralize the acidity without sugar. It will bubble. Keep stirring until the bubbles stop.

    the yellow cheese in the sauce is almost like a secret weapon. People know its yummy but have no idea how it got so cheezy tasting. Good recipe! I have to avoid the pre pepared sauces but they are great, I have to have total control of my husbands salt intake so with the salt in the cheese I have to eliminate all extra salt in the rest of the sauce. Jar sauce is loaded and very worth the switch, saltless sauce or cheese, easy choice. I make the sauce with just diced tomatos and he has no idea theres been a change.

    I just have to warn you when you drain your pasta in the sink the water that pools in the sink is now contaminating your noodles unless you scrub/disinfect your sink before you put your noodles in there I like to use pot holders on each side with a lid barely opened to allow water out but keeps the noodles in I might lose a noodle or two but it's worth not cooling or contaminating them I hope I could be of some help. by the way sugar cuts down on the acidity from the tomatoes but usually jar sauce has sugar pre added from the manufacturer but to each their own some do get heartburn unless they add more sugar

    Another great recipe. For those of you who have commented about whats too much or not too enough....its simple make adjustments based on your preference. This is how he cooks his spaghetti bake. I never understood someone telling someone what they should do...hes sharing his version...you share yours if you have a different preference or if you comment...try "great recipe, i modified the recipe but still great"...smh. keep up the great recipes. And for those of you talking about salt consumption....you should actually research the truth on salt consumption, blood pressure etc. You may be pleasantly surprised.

    I must say when it comes to spaghetti and meat.. you just came to my rescue..
    I normally hate cooking ground beef coz I can never get the seasoning right.. it always comes out tasteless but from now onwards am gon season it before I brown it.. also that sauce is always lacking something.. now I know sugar does the trick.. as I write this comment am waiting on my spaghetti to bake I know it's going to be bomb coz I tasted it already... I can't thank you enough for this recipe.. 👌🏾❤️

    Whenevwr you use Italian sausage, onions, and bel peppers you don't need all that seasoning. The sauce is season to and has allot of sodium. I just use lemon pepper seasoning and you can add garlic cloves with the bel and onions.

      KingUfa206 The seasonings that he used are pretty much salt free. There is no salt in garlic powder or Italian seasonings or the other seasonings that he used. You can add salt to your pasta water if you want though. As Shon9tilR stated the Italian sausage does have more than enough salt.
