I like channels where I actually learn stuff , unlike some other ones where they just film them selfs pulling the fish out the water , you got yourself a subscriber !
Hagen, ive been burning through all your videos (along with every other youtube cat guy) and you are without a doubt, the best at teaching techniques. Ive been fishing my whole life and I have still learned a pile of new stuff from your vids and that is what its all about. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate the time you take in making these videos. Thanks man.
The snell is where it’s at. I’ve never had one slip anyway, but I like to tie a small overhand knot in the tag end just to make sure it doesn’t. Free insurance 👍🏼
I ran across a battery powered four by eight led light that has the amber lense on it. It rarely attracts bugs and puts out plenty of light in the boat. White lights will attract bugs from miles away. It might not be legal but I got to where I'd put a red dixie cup over my stern light while anchored to keep the bugs down some.
Use this sinker type up in the PNW, for fishing salmon and steelhead in creeks and rivers. Surgical rubber tubing, 3-way swivel and some braid to fasten the tubing to the three-way. Slip the lead up into the tubing. The lead may pull loose, but you can cut lead to size to replace it quickly, without having to retie everything. Back in action. Our rivers and creeks here get a lot of wood in them.
Great information..Thank you for sharing it. I’m going to try to use it this weekend. I haven’t been catfishing in many years but have access to a spot now that looks very promising for large ones., need to give it a try! 🙂 I enjoy Keith’s FishNStuffs channel immensely! Have a great weekend! God Bless y’all also.
My man 💪 Sinkers on the fly . You gave me some great ideas. I just cut some old lead pipes out of an old house. I can cut strips out of it , weigh em , drill em , and bam . Very cool stuff . Happy fishing. Thank you for your time
Now this is truely a kat angler who helps other kat anglers to good stuff without breaking the back, where can I get thos floats? gonna be making these, I will frequent your videos, love you humble attitude and that goes a long way, some other video makers seem to be way too high up to help us humble anglers.
great info thanks trying to learn how to bump on my local lake while waiting on my jugs. Any info on Lake Eufaula in Alabama would be greatly appreciated not so much where to go but what to look for as far as a location on fish finder. Thank You in advance.
BUGS BAD! How do you stand them? Wow. Thanks for showing how to rig up. I live in N. Italy and I have never seen anyone using this set up. I will use it as the rivers here have rocks that catch my stuff. Maybe now, less. Grazie!
Up here in Washington I use pencil lead (what we call it), drift fishing for steelhead and salmon. Leadmaster makes a needle nose that you can both flatten and punch your lead with, check em out, might help ya out! Love your vids, reminds me of my son out salmon fishing with me as he was growing up
I use 30-40lb mono or 65lb braid. I’m not sure on the size swivel but I think the ones I have are rated for 120lb. Yes they are the 2.5” oval floats. Thank you for watching and good luck out there👍
Really like your channel , great videos. Also nice to see your boy having a good time fishing. Interesting to see the different rigs you use and explain. What main line you using?
No you do not have to. It just allows you to fish more rods and cover more water. I think it helps a lot in shallow water. I done a video on planner boards a couple months ago. Thanks for watching 👍
You can actually get a pair of pliers that will flatten the lead and also create the hole for the clip. I’ve used them in the Pacific NW for steelhead and salmon.
Fish can feel extreme pain. I know a lot of guys down south (or even here in the north) don't care so long as they don't have to feel it but I kill my bait humanely whenever possible. I know nature is cruel but we don't have to be.
I am looking for about your product place lace me a message .When I post this, I am looking for more information on this . The thing you used to wait for in your fishing I am looking for more any more information you had can help me out I would appreciate very much have fun be safe and stay well and I hope you had a happy New Year 2023 ?
it our lakes you stay hung i been trying everything an i not found nothing as of yet want snag..these is man made lakes i fish just full of trees an stumps
Hagen you still look goofy. I know you will never guess who I am. Hope the fam is doing great. Oh and by the way get your butt back in that welding shop. Lol. If you want to know who I am let me know and I’ll call you.
You got a good cameraman. He needs to be paid more.....$100 a day is a fair wage.....😋......
Hey you can’t be commenting on these guys because you don’t let me comment on yours 🤨! Jk my favorite guy on yt watch all your videos!

You’re right Hagen, Keith over at Fishin N Stuff is awesome at DIY’s, I call him The King of DIY’s !! Have a great weekend ahead my friend 👍
keith got the idea from "new school fishing" and that guy got the idea from "down river fishing"
Great information and tutorial. Your teaching that young man right.

THK. U for the how to instructions.
I ordered those floats back when you posted them on FB! Haven't looked back since ;) Happy fishing buddy!
If you don't mind me asking where did you find the floats at
@@jasonvanderpool994 I found them on amazon. I ordered a bag of 100

That boy does a great job behind the camera.
I’ve tried those floats and can’t keep them down!! Hahaha guess I need the bigger weights. At least with the bugs, you don’t have to bring snacks!!
Bullet weights are a little expensive. A cheaper way is to use 3/8" aluminum hard fuel lines. Smash one end and fill.

Do you have to use a planer board for dragging or is it preference? I'd love to see a video on using planerboards.

Could you use a bobber instead to float your bait?
Thanks for info.bro, hope your son catches a flathead as big as he is and hes a dandy camera man!!
He actually just caught his biggest flathead about an hour ago out on the Ohio river lol. Thanks for watching 👍
Unfortunately that bobber is no longer available on Amazon. It said they are out of stock and don't know when it will become available again.

What size/color float were you using 1.5, 2, or 2.5 ?
These are the 2.5 oval floats. Thank you for watching👍
Got a link for the rattles? Good stuff.
3 1/4 inches per ounce is pretty accurate for the 1/4 inch lead.
What kind of cutters is that?
What size is the float
Went to Amazon to order some floats. It says unavailable and unsure if they would be reordered.
I ordered some from hookers terminal tackle
THANKS
Cant find the floats, what's the name or brand on them or maybe a link thx
There is a link in the description on this video. Thank you for watching👍
@@hagengrubbsfishing are they plastic or foam
james jefferson hard foam 👍
Put a red lens or red plastic wrap over your light and the bugs will disappear .
What did you use to make that dragging wait I didn’t catch it
