Hagen, ive been burning through all your videos (along with every other youtube cat guy) and you are without a doubt, the best at teaching techniques. Ive been fishing my whole life and I have still learned a pile of new stuff from your vids and that is what its all about. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate the time you take in making these videos. Thanks man.

The snell is where it’s at. I’ve never had one slip anyway, but I like to tie a small overhand knot in the tag end just to make sure it doesn’t. Free insurance 👍🏼

I ran across a battery powered four by eight led light that has the amber lense on it. It rarely attracts bugs and puts out plenty of light in the boat. White lights will attract bugs from miles away. It might not be legal but I got to where I'd put a red dixie cup over my stern light while anchored to keep the bugs down some.

Great tip on the rig, gonna get some of that weight for the drift sinkers. Thanks for sharing.

Use this sinker type up in the PNW, for fishing salmon and steelhead in creeks and rivers. Surgical rubber tubing, 3-way swivel and some braid to fasten the tubing to the three-way. Slip the lead up into the tubing. The lead may pull loose, but you can cut lead to size to replace it quickly, without having to retie everything. Back in action. Our rivers and creeks here get a lot of wood in them.

Great information..Thank you for sharing it. I’m going to try to use it this weekend. I haven’t been catfishing in many years but have access to a spot now that looks very promising for large ones., need to give it a try! 🙂 I enjoy Keith’s FishNStuffs channel immensely! Have a great weekend! God Bless y’all also.

Sinkers on the fly . You gave me some great ideas. I just cut some old lead pipes out of an old house. I can cut strips out of it , weigh em , drill em , and bam . Very cool stuff . Happy fishing. Thank you for your time

Bullet weights are a little expensive. A cheaper way is to use 3/8" aluminum hard fuel lines. Smash one end and fill.

Up here in Washington I use pencil lead (what we call it), drift fishing for steelhead and salmon. Leadmaster makes a needle nose that you can both flatten and punch your lead with, check em out, might help ya out! Love your vids, reminds me of my son out salmon fishing with me as he was growing up

No you do not have to. It just allows you to fish more rods and cover more water. I think it helps a lot in shallow water. I done a video on planner boards a couple months ago. Thanks for watching 👍

Fish can feel extreme pain. I know a lot of guys down south (or even here in the north) don't care so long as they don't have to feel it but I kill my bait humanely whenever possible. I know nature is cruel but we don't have to be.
