NO ONE is talking about the sheer amount of illegal fishing being done by the foreign invaders. All summer, wherever I went to paddle board or even lake beaches to swim, I saw people fishing that I knew damn well didn't have a license. EVERYWHERE. And when I started fishing, I saw even more using nets and weird setups on their lines (I guess it was snagging) to catch whatever. This is seriously hurting the fish population as they don't care what size and breed or how many they're allowed to take and I never see any rangers doing jack shit about it!!
I’m a foreigner. What are you saying? Let’s make this straight! White man kills everything for a hard on. Then the resources gets scarce. Then white man becomes world police on conservation. That’s facts! Watch how you choose your words. I am very much against poachers. But you using “foreign Invaders” proves who you are.
That’s the way it is lately. About 80% snagging and flossing and 20% legit in my waters. It’s sad. This is strictly talking about bank fish man during the salmon run.
All conservation efforts will be undone now.. enjoy it while you can. All ponds around me have been cleaned.. its fun times for us who have grown up protecting our surroundings.
I commend you on your patience. Me and my buddy strictly fly fish Steelies and to watch these mopes snag is insane. We’d be definitely fighting 💯. Thank you for caring for that stretch of fishery 👊👍

Y’all are going to the known hot spots ….the overcrowded shi t show … when there’s fish in the river , there’s fish in the river. Find spots that you gotta hike to for the seclusion, find parks you gotta pay to enter for the day to keep out most the idiots . Get a pair of waders or a cheap inflatable to get down the river . I catch fish all by myself with no issues avoiding ppl in southern Ontario, which is difficult but do able . And believe me I tell ppl what’s up that are chasing fish with nets in their hand , or snagging fish . The Toronto area is getting worse every season .
In Oregon they make fun of you if you don't salmon fish. I think it just exemplifies a lack of skill if that's the only thing you can catch. Make fun of me for my 15 pound carp if you want but you're the one who only knows how to troll. 12 hours trolling is not the same as 12 hours paddling or beating the shoreline. It's not studying the feeding patterns of the target species. It's not having fun. You gotta smash a 12 pack in the boat cuz you're bored you're not doing it right.
Dam poachers. I had a hard time watching the second half of the video and that guy just whipping his line over and over into the water. Good work with calling it in 👊
Fishing here in Ontario about a month ago on the Nith river. Three guys jump in water where I'm fishing, with nets . Never seen anything like it in my life. Then about 8 more, I'm assuming family came along with buckets full of multi species. Told them what they were doing was illegal, but of course..." no speak english" .
I agree with you 100%. If people don't start speaking up against the ones that are illegally doing what they're doing. There's not going to be anything left for us. We have to do our part. That's what Americans do.

Abalone on the north coast of Northern California from San Francisco Bay to the Oregon state line has been completely banned back in 2015. The large majority of the poachers were Asians. I have been diving for abalone in the ocean since I was a kid, during the 1960's. It is a good thing that it is now banned. Perhaps the species will have a chance to survive.
this is done on purpose we get flooded with lawless criminals so they can steal our rights and freedoms and install tracking and cameras everywhere....
You kept your cool better than most. Good on you for calling them out too. Good on you for calling it in too. No place for any of their behavior there. Crazy
My brother was telling me about a month ago, that he was fishing at one of our local lakes here in Ohio, and witnessed foreigners cast netting, and keeping game fish (which is completely illegal). He called, but by the time the game warden showed up, they were gone. They were keeping undersized largemouth bass, crappies, and anything else that they caught in their net.
Orientals have been depleting wildlife from the state of California for decades. Undersize Fish from coastal piers , small Crabs , Lobsters, and soooooooo many Abalone around Palos Verdes that there aren't any left. I realize that the last guy in the river wasn't oriental, but he was still foreign . Problem is that they do here what they used to do in their own country. Something must be done with this issue
Thanks for taking the initiative to call the authorities. I hope they showed up and fined them and relinquished their licenses! Some people so ignorant and disrespectful.
wow bro... what is wrong with people imagine snagging and poaching these beautiful ass fish. i hope these guys got caught and thank you for being a good fisherman!
This shit happens all over the country, and it's not just foreigners. I've seen many locals doing the same thing. We would tell them it's illegal as if they didn't know, then start using our phones to get videos, including their license plates. And, of course, calling the game department. The foreigners would usually get the message and give up, but the locals felt entitled and even hinted at retribution. It's pathetic, but it's almost expected from a certain type of low mentality. The same idiots that complain about the lack of fish are the people cheating.
No respect for anyone or anything. I was fuming just watching this video and well done for keeping your head. Similar situation here in the UK. Many Eastern Europeans who to be fair stick to the rules but a few who take fish for no reason at all by any means. Always claim language barrier or “don’t understand “.
Ain't no way I could have kept my cool. We would have had problems. I salute you sir for your calmness. Me , i would have not been so calm. And i so hope the game warden caught up with them.
I can't imagine breaking a game law outside of the USA and not dealing with severe consequences. Yet here in America, a goon gets an ignorance pass. For me, our fish and game resources in this country are not valued nearly enough.

I had this large pond I fished as a kid in upstate NY that was such an amazing fishing hole. Had bass, carp, bluegill, perch and even sometimes after a flood pike would get stuck in it. The Susquehanna River was 50 feet from it. Anyways 1980’s amazing fishing and no one ever kept anything from it. Was a gravel pit and the water was toxic. Town tried to build a park there many times but land kept failing tests so basically wasn’t safe for people to even have a park at. Anyways fast forward to mid 00’s and during the winter of all months these Chinese fisherman would be on the ice and taking anything that bit. I would bring my son to ice skate and practice hockey there sometimes and since I grew up there would go talk to them. I would see they would have buckets with tiny bluegills and really small bass. They turned that great fishing spot into a place you can’t find fish in anymore. After a few years of this they totally cleaned it out. I can’t imagine how unsafe those fish are to eat. You can see rusty barrels and tires at the bottom of the lake. I guess they just don’t care about how unsafe the fish are. It’s free food I guess. I mean what do you do with a tiny bluegill? Fry it whole and eat it? That quarry was the best place as a kid for so many reasons. Loved those long summer days fishing, building forts and doing so many other things.
Same thing happened to a pond near my house. The owner was a military friend of my dad and we would get 2 dozen shiners on friday or saturday night and have a blast. Property was sold a number of years later and when i got back into fishing and looking for local haunts for my friends kids I asked the new owners if we could have permission to fish. It was a swift NO. I told them I completely understand, then i got the back story. Apparently after the property was acquired by them, a few people from the nearby development were coming in at night and taking all the bass out of the pond to eat. He had it electro surveyed when they got the property and shortly after he found out about this problem and the bass population was reduced to 15% of what it was. So yeah, shit happens all the time all over the country and no one can really do much about it but hope and wait.
We had a similar problem at our pick your own farm. They go in to the sweet corn and stuff themselves. At checkout one of them would buy a single ear of corn. The mom and kid would go pick a small bag of fruit and the father would stuff the trunk of the car with produce. Caught them too. But we lost a lot of produce to people doing this. Why is this an example of why it’s legal to open carry other than the fact that you want to sound like a tough guy? That is most definitely not “why” it’s legal to open carry while hunting and fishing. That law was created for that perceived need for self-defense against dangerous WILDLIFE in remote outdoor areas not people. Self defense from things like bears, big cats, snakes or alligators, etc that could pose a threat, especially when immediate access to a firearm might be necessary. It was not intended to be for self defense from people, that is more of a loophole people are using. Carring for self defense from people fall under your normal arm laws. So while that may fit in it is not “why”. Absolutely nothing happened where he even came close to needing to defend himself. If anything he was the one being aggressive, confronting those people and getting upset. I’m not saying he was wrong and I wouldn’t have done similar but there is zero reason to bring firearms into the situation. That shows me that me that maybe you shouldn’t be carrying if an argument over fishing legality (right or wrong) is going to get you such a volatile situation that a weapon gets pulled. An argument can always go south that is not why that law exists when it comes to fishing. And no I’m not anti firearms, I am licensed to carry and am pro firearms.
@PennyTrayshun-u8u Not for intimidation, but for protection. I meant the fact that he was one guy in the wilderness against 4 guys. Especially because the 1 guy was yelling at the other 4 for doing illegal things, and they don't care that they do it right in front of him. Sketchy out there all alone. People mess with fishermen a lot, and you never know when it's going to be necessary to defend yourself. Yes, the law was written to defend against animal attacks, but the Constitution was written, so it was never infringed upon in the first place. Have you ever seen someone fishing need a wildlife officer? Sometimes, it takes hours for them to reach you.
They call it "lifting" in Pulaski on the Salmon River. Fly rod, sponge on a 4/0 3X hook, and a half ounce split shot. Every local in town is in on it. Its not the meat they want which in my opinion is inedible, its the salmon eggs they want.

We see this same goonery in Western NY on our tribs during salmon/steelhead season, which is basically now through early April. Wannabe anglers out flossing like they're life-long dentists. I don't understand the logic with these snaggers...they probably shell out a few hundred bucks for their tackle and equipment, and show up thinking "nice, some free salmon/steelhead to snag out of the creek and toss on the dinner table for fish taco Tuesday." They would've been far better off going to the grocery store and just buying some whole salmon. A lot of these guys don't realize they're eating fish out of creeks that are contaminated with PCB's, raw sewage, dioxins, you name it. The creeks are highly polluted compared to the lakes...if these goon snaggers realized this they probably wouldn't be out there snagging in the first place. Check those creeks on Google maps...you'll see sewage treatment plants sitting on almost all of them. On a side note, props for tying those on with gloves on...something I've never been able to do lol. What you're seeing on the creeks is why I'm nearly done with them...I'd much rather be out on my boat fishing in peace and quiet, where there's no snaggers to be found anywhere.
This is why I stopped salmon fishing. Too obvious, too many people. Which is a shame because there are a lot of things to enjoy while I’m out there, but I can’t not get pissed off, which is the irony and the turn off.

This is why its legal to open carry if youre fishing in Florida. Should be all 50 states.
It's legal to open carry in Alabama anytime besides schools and courthouse. Also concealed no permit required as long as your not a convicted felon
@earlwright9715 Awesome. What a free state! Go Alabama!
same in Oklahoma
