Yea I fish at that exact spot all the time, it’s mostly only the drum that have the leeches and stuff, maybe a few walleye here and there but 90% of the time it’s the drum. I live in port Clinton if your ever up here again and wanna fish I’d be happy to come along
Do you ever catch any walleye off there? I've tried for years now and literally can't even catch a tiny one lol I've tried all kinds of lures and spots from shore but no luck 🤞
@@FordF4NN never caught a walleye there my whole life, i honestly stopped fishing there bc I only catch sheepshead and catfish and the occasional bass. If you wanna catch walleye around here I’d recommend going on a charter boat.
Going to cedar point for the first time this week and might do some fishing. Any bait suggestions? Also what kind of fish do you see a lot of out there
Nightcrawlers on bottom is always a go to! Typically see a lot of catfish, bass, and drum caught off shore this time of year with an occasional walleye
@@anglinas2909 thanks. Down here in Illinois we don’t have walleye like we used to due to the bottoms of the Kankakee being so muddy so do you have any lure suggestions for the drum and walleye?
@@demarcuscousinsthird1813 drum just use Nightcrawlers and cut bait like cut bluegill. Walleye can also be caught with Nightcrawlers or anything flashy!
Dang those were some nice drum! Weird tumor tho, if youre catching multiple like that I probably wouldnt eat fish out of that area. Great video man yall killed it!
BloNo Fishing yea I’m not sure what it was! It was only on the drum tho? I’m thinking some kind of weird mutation or something? Idk. Thanks for watching mann
It has changed since I was a kid in the 70s fishing there. Took a headboat out of the wharf last few years Waiting to see the new boardwalk, or what ever it is gonna be they started. Gonna be u[p there in late April
In all honesty if you knew how many people killed drum just because they don’t taste good, you would be praising us for our efforts to release them safely.
Sheeps head have teeth those aren’t sheepshead if you lip a sheepshead like that you’d lose a finger and stop killing fish. Next time remove that nasty tumor as well. Nice content though I just wanna keep the water safe as I’m sure you do.
lake erie is over loaded with these drums, fisherman should take all they can and dispose of them we trolled last year for walleyes and caught 27 dam drums trolling
My wife and I were just at the Port Clinton pier, very nice area and the fisherman were catching walleyes at the time. Nice video

Nice catches but you should avoid touching their gills and letting them flop on the concrete like that. Good luck in the future!
Not suppose to throw fish back into the water like that too. It is adding extra stress
