Slaying Fish Kayak Fishing Huntington Beach’s Offshore Artificial Reefs!

- After catching and recovering from COVID, it was definitely time to go fishing! It felt great to be back on the water and better yet, there were fish everywhere. I caught plenty of Calico and Sand Bass, including one big, chunky Sand Bass that definitely made my day! Summertime is here and I metered water temperatures in the 68 to 69 degree range! The Huntington Beach artificial reefs are less than a mile off shore and are an absolute blast to kayak fish!

Killer videos Dan. Keep them coming.
Glad you are back to enjoying life!
Good fishing.
Good to see you back out good buddy!
COVID can't take away your passion!! Always good to see you on the water paddling and fishing!!
great catch mate..
Glad you made it out on the other side ok😎🤙🏽. Great seeing you back on the water!
Solid session. Glad COVID didn’t linger and stop you from fishing.
Hi Dan it’s good to see you feeling better and catching some nice fish as well!
Good to see you back on here and recovered from COVID - Thats what I'm talking about!
Good to hear you're over the Covid and doing well, Dan. I caught it recently as well.
That sand bass was thick! Glad to see you back out and paddling strong. Ps: we want more surf launch footage!!
I hate when that happens (the Nomad snag)! I lost one just like that - in the first half hour of fishing with only one fish caught! Lots of money down the drain.
Glad you're back from COVID. Clearly the fish have been waiting for you!
Glad you are better! I need to get my kayak out there. Do you end up fishing around the cliffs ? 25-30 feet?
Nice day of fishing amigo!
Yes… the artificial reefs are off of the cliffs in depths ranging from 20 to 35 feet.
Ok, I thought you had a pedal kayak, your paddling out there?!?!? How many feet long is your kayak? How do I get to this artificial reef?
My Stealth Fisha 555 is 18 feet long, 27 inches wide, and weighs 65 pounds empty. The artificial reefs are just off of Dog Beach, which is the area slightly north of PCH and Goldenwest in the city of Huntington Beach. If you have Navionics charts on your phone or fish finder the area is easy to spot. But… for kayak fishermen, the only way to access these reefs is by first paddling through the surf. 🎣😃
@@losthorizonfishing107 thanks dude, not sure how safe that would be in my 10ft lifetime paddle kayak
