- Learn how I make these "Clear as Glass" Butterflies and wow your friends. These butterflies are some of the most popular butterflies I make and they sell really well in my shop. In order to make these, you need UV Resin, floral decals, and some embellishments to finish them off. I am adding these to my Etsy shop as I make them but some have sold before I can ever get them into my shop.

If you take a picture of the flowers when you first get them where you want them before you glue them. They are absolutely gorgeous

If you have a Burlington Coat factory near you, check out the clearance section. They have broken jewelry that you can buy for next to nothing. I would go and buy pieces to take apart and make other things with.

Could possibly be able to do this same technique using the parchment paper by drawing off the shape you want to make since it doesn't seem to stick to resin?🤔
That’s possible, however it’s not as thick. These butterflies are made of a plastic material and they are much more heavy duty. I’m almost certain you could find a similar material in square sheets at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. I love the idea of finding something like that to create other shapes. Great idea!!! 💡
Just another idea. Stamp on tissue paper and then Mod Podge on items.

You are not explaining what the butterfly pattern is made from im confused.
The butterflies used were not a pattern. They were simply some butterflies made of a plastic substance that I had purchased a couple of years earlier. I did add the Amazon link for those butterflies in my description menu if you’re interested in purchasing them on Amazon. The initial butterfly that I made was actually an accident that turned out to be a happy one.

Where did you get the clear butterflies from
I actually made them by adding UV resin to the tops of thin plastic butterflies I purchased on Amazon. Used them as my pattern so to speak, to create my own butterflies. They come I. Three sizes.
One more thing, how many butterflies can you make with the size bottle you were using in the video?
I can probably only make three or four of them with the small bottle of resin. 100 grams

I absolutely love your work. You are a true talent for sure! I haven’t been watching your channel very long so there are things I don’t understand. Ok….. what is the white cardboard pattern you used under the resin? Did you treat it or is it something you buy? I cdnt find it on your site. I wish I had more time to watch long videos but I just don’t. I usually concentrate on short sweet and to the point videos. Lol😂 let me know when you get the time sweetie pie.

I tried this method, and I can not get the backing off. Seems brittle. What am I doing wrong? 😊
You’re not doing it wrong. Just add another layer of resin on the top so that it is thick enough, then pull that backing off. The resin isn’t likely to break but I know that at first I thought they would break because I had to pull so hard but they never have. Do another one without adding the rub on decals, add two layer of resin, then the plastic backing will come off super easy. Then add the rub on’s to the top. Then you can add another thin layer of resin to cover them. Make sure you’re using the less sleek side of the butterfly to put the stickers and resin on. It will make a difference.
