Aerobatics at 34 + kts and missing the airfield? Change your mindset if you want get an old pilot. But well done by sharing this. Best wishes for the new year!

Making the embarrassing decision to land out in plenty of time, seems like a great mindset to me. Plenty have done this and tried to stretch a glide and it ends in disaster.

Thanks for sharing this for others to see. That is the right culture! It’s a stupid mistake (like most mistakes really) but easy to determine that after the fact. You’ve solved the situation well. Build up your ego again and keep flying!

Your airspeed indicator seems really... weird. 0 is at the 7:30 position? And I've never seen a red arc, usually it's just a red line to indicate Vne, but it also seems to be wrap around but there isn't a second set of speeds?

maybe this can be a wake up call to get some (more?) instruction in a two seater. your stick movements during the aerobatics looked very "choppy" (not smooth and precise). that's not how a competent and proficient pilot flies. if you can't fly aerobatics precisely and stay ahead of the airplane at all times, then don't do it. there's no shame in that. getting your privileges suspended probably sucks, but it seems like a good lesson.
good job not trying to return to the airfield and choosing a safe outlanding though.
