As an avoidant I disagree with some things mentioned in this video. I believe it is crucial to understand that narcissistic personality disorder and avoidant attachment style are different. Avoidants do possess empathy, unlike narcissists and more often than not the narcissists act out of malicious intent and avoidant behaviour is not always a conscious act rather a coping strategy learnt in childhood. Avoidant may be seen as toxic if someone doesn’t understand the fundamental nature of their behaviour
