I traveled from Cincinnati to Kalamazoo for this show. Manny, Rick, Jon, and Fred rocked! I have a DVD of the entire show signed by the four members. What a memory!
Wow, I just seen the news on Dan! He has c.o.p.d, its really bad. He could even get through a whole set in Switzerland......and Pete just got hospitalized on 10-25-13. This is heart breaking for us. It hurts us to see our hero's like Pete and Dan come to an end like this. Our intention was never to "Impersonate" them. But to merely be a small part of the Nazareth legacy they "all four" had made. I know they hated us for doing this, but we still love them and always will! \m/ Rick, Jon & Fred.
This band is amazing! I saw the other nazareth 9 times but now they have come to an end now that there singer Dan called it quits. NOW that being said.. if there ever was a time for this band to get back together and kick some ass is NOW!! Manny really needs to call up these dudes and hit the road, these guys are a powerhouse!!!!
Well, Thank You! The truth is......Manny can't and wouldn't do it again. He sold his interest to Pete and Dan from what I heard at the end of this tour. We had bad management problems and he walked away with a bad taste over this. Plus we got "hammered" by the media almost the whole time, until we proved ourselves live. Then they would put us in the paper saying "Manny Charltons Nazareth Kicks Ass After All!" This video is only our 5th show out of a scheduled 32 shows! Not bad, huh?
Thank You, Brian! That's an awesome story, brutha. And thanx for sharing it too. As you can see not everyone agrees with you. Like I said we were professional musicians "HIRED" to go do this with Manny.
We all three grew up together in s.w michigan. The bass player (Jon Ster) is really a guitarist. He is from a band called Lillian Axe. The singer/guitarist (Fred Brecht) and myself are from a band called Smashing Gravity.
I'm a huge Nazareth fan going back to the early 70s, this is one of the best performances of "Changin" Time's". Manny really put some punch into this, the whole band were on fire!
Changin' Times é um petardo na idéia. Pena que faltou voz pro vocalista cantar esse som. Impossível ver isso sem imaginar o Dan nos vocais. O Manny "é o cara". Nazareth na cabeça!!!!!!
You just have to wonder why Carlton bothered leaving Nazareth if he wanted to continue playing their music. But McCaf is right up there with Noddy Holder and Steve Marriot as singers who simply can not be replaced....imitated yes but replaced no.
Thanx, Brutha! Everyone needs to go to Manny's site and tell him to quit wasting his time with that girl singer shit he's doing and call FREDDIE, JON and RICK and put the good band back together. We played Nazareth like Motley Crue would have. \m/ .....and Thank You! from US to YOU for soo many nice comments!
It's not easy to cover Dan's sound. Or even try. I still do love hurts in bars on the weekend.I have a scratchy voice.I used to sing it with my mandolin I got for 20 bucks at a pawn shop. I eventually gave it to a dear friend.he put a pickup in it. I'm bald and use to wear a hat, now I don't give a hoot.I just go Galligher.lol
Ya i hear ya dude, But no hard feelings.... You boys put the soul back into this music, It seemed all they did was do it for the money and living its there right of course and Dan seemed really bored on stage most of the time, There getting a new singer for a tour next year mabe, You dudes should get your act together and do this again you sounded great
@nazzare79 This is a great band no doubts there at all,i have no problem with the band at all i have followed nazareth for years nothing would suite me more than for manny to rejoin nazareth as he is heeps better than jimmy,as for stating this singer is no dan mccafferty, nothing stupid about stating the truth,he simply is not you said it yourself.
I think is stupid to say this singer is not like Dan..in fact he simply he is not Dan. Anyway every member of this band is good and if you consider that aside Manny there's not an original musician, this band they played a great show ! p.s. I love current Nazareth but Manny is way better than Jimmy...
Dan's vocals and Mannys guitar sound were the key to Nazareths unique sound. I love this version, Manny is kicking ass. He played the old Naz songs much heavier than when he played them with Nazareth.
Dan, and Pete's version of Nazareth at this time was lame, compared to Manny Charlton's kick-ass line-up! No wonder Dan, and Pete wanted to stop Manny from using the Nazareth name!
Manny's band does sound good here. The singer looks like a tool, but he makes up for that when he grabs the the guitar to do the harmony line and rhythm guitar at the end of the song.Manny's guitar crushes and the band has heart and groove, all which are lacking in Dan Mccafferty's lame ass backing band. The drumming and guitar are sorely lacking in the current form of Nazz.
This is Manny's band "Nazareth" and the vocals are no where near Dan McCafferty's and that is what MAKES "NAZARETH" who they are as a band, yes the licks are important but the vocals MAKE it.
Manny is as good as he was 50 years ago, but Dan was a unique vocalist - no one will ever replace him... R.I.P.
It's like seeing Grandpa with his kids garage band showing them how its done! Way to go Manny !
Still have their 1985 release album. Their Greatest hits are my go-to music

Buenos notches, amigo. Wee davy in Glasgow Scotland, 🙏 your choice of music 🎶 long live rock 🪨 and roll!
The breakdown to the instramental is what makes this song agreat one.

Hair of the Dog is my fav album, and one of the best in history of hard rock.

Мени Чарлтон и есть настоящий Nazareth ☝️
👍👏
Звук намного круче чем где играет Эгню в детской группе.
@@stalker9665 И голос более похож.
The drummer on the original LP/8 track contributed greatly to the existence of at least two of my kids :)
que grande Manny!!!!

05/01/23 I LOVE YOU MANNY! ***S2***
Right on, Brutha!.....Thank You!
Much better than Pete Agnew's Nazareth with karaoke-boy Carl
The jam that ends this track on Hair of the Dog LP, I think is the best thing they ever did.
Wee davy from Glasgow x ❤️ thinking of a version of piece of your heart ❤️ 💙 💜! You will love it!
não acredito que sou um dos primeiros a ver esse video !!!! pra mim é algo muito loco, é bom demais!!!!
without Dan its like driving with 2 wheels instead of 4
Manny, one of the original occupants of the town Shredsville, location... Earth.
❤️

did john ster pass away?
Manny is one of these must have for an "Ole Farts" band! Grandpa rocks!
I'm the drummer in this video......by the way!
Rick Ory can I get an autograph from you?
Fucking killed it Rick
Good jams!
Dude! I was at the New Orleans Superdome. June 30th, 1979! Saw ya! Huge fan!!!!!
I'm a huge Nazareth fan going back to the early 70s, this is one of the best performances of "Changin" Time's". Manny really put some punch into this, the whole band were on fire!
that's rock!!!
Esse riff...
Thanx! It was a dream come true for me! \m/
Good job, dude.
He fucked up my most fav guitar solo.
I like this singer than the new guy in the other Nazareth band.. and at he can play Guitar too!
Is this DVD available somewhere
What the Hell, awesome but not nazereth without Dan
Makes total sense why the other naz had to shut down this one. So much better, so much more interesting.
EARLOZO you nailed it!
That is Manny Charlton Nazareth....but not too bad.
lmao..AWESOME!
We were just hired hands for Manny to get back at Dan and Pete.....PERIOD! (do not compare us to them, please!)
& quite right they shafted him he was Naz
Forgot to add dam fine drumming
Changin' Times é um petardo na idéia.
Pena que faltou voz pro vocalista cantar esse som. Impossível ver isso sem imaginar o Dan nos vocais. O Manny "é o cara". Nazareth na cabeça!!!!!!
you got bro; but this is dam good stuff you did here.
So strange! This Nazareth is just as much as the real Nazareth lineup of 2017, Only pete left in the old lineup. lol And manny in this nazareth.
No. But, they still sound good.
Manny can still rock.
You just have to wonder why Carlton bothered leaving Nazareth if he wanted to continue playing their music. But McCaf is right up there with Noddy Holder and Steve Marriot as singers who simply can not be replaced....imitated yes but replaced no.
Ron DayVoo he did not leave he was sacked but for the wrong reasons
No Dan, No Nazareth.
Flávio R. No Manny, no Nazareth since 1990?
is manny the singer?
Thanx, Brutha! Everyone needs to go to Manny's site and tell him to quit wasting his time with that girl singer shit he's doing and call FREDDIE, JON and RICK and put the good band back together. We played Nazareth like Motley Crue would have. \m/ .....and Thank You! from US to YOU for soo many nice comments!
acdcgnr100 manny is the one wearing the cap.
It's not easy to cover Dan's sound. Or even try. I still do love hurts in bars on the weekend.I have a scratchy voice.I used to sing it with my mandolin I got for 20 bucks at a pawn shop. mony наша история

who is a singer??
His name is Fred Brecht.
rick ory thx!)
Glebels Gleb Coloma Michigans one and only best drummer around
ok this singer is no dan mc cafferty, but then again the present nazareth guitarist is no manny charlton.
And the singer isn't so bad at all
@nazzare79 This is a great band no doubts there at all,i have no problem with the band at all i have followed nazareth for years nothing would suite me more than for manny to rejoin nazareth as he is heeps better than jimmy,as for stating this singer is no dan mccafferty, nothing stupid about stating the truth,he simply is not you said it yourself.
@negativ2007 how does that make me stupid......
I said to him looks a bit super Mario here lol
BAD SINGER! AXL ROSE´S BROTHER KKKKKKKKKKKKK
mega som do nazareh, pena que faltou voz pra esse vocalista.
Music sounds good but it’s such a great song anyway. But Dan as a singer is simply irreplaceable.
My friend Manny mistreated such a talent even now in his late seventies
Need some sustains and not some thin sounding Strat! LP is the only guitar for this song..
Dan, and Pete's version of Nazareth at this time was lame, compared to Manny Charlton's kick-ass line-up! No wonder Dan, and Pete wanted to stop Manny from using the Nazareth name!
Manny is still one rockin' old fart!
This is Manny's band "Nazareth" and the vocals are no where near Dan McCafferty's and that is what MAKES "NAZARETH" who they are as a band, yes the licks are important but the vocals MAKE it.
The vocalist has no tone, imo, no style, just yells.
Fake
Nice try, cover band.
Só o Manny que se salva no Nazareth Genérico . o resto é fraquinho.
Go listen to Sandy & Junior - you're a clueless Brazilian!
