    Based on your comment at 2:12, I think it’s important to note that it’s “Push Standalone,” NOT “Ableton Live Standalone.” There are quite a few features of Live that you can’t access through the Push UI right now: Follow Actions, Arrangement View, certain controls of certain devices, etc.
    It’s an amazing device, but if someone buys it thinking it’s “a complete standalone version of Ableton,” they will hit some limitations quickly!

    I would be excited for the Push 2! But a Push 3 would be mindblowing and could finally get rid of my old gear and have more functional powerful setup.

    I’m about to order the controller version. Struggling to see why I would get the stand alone version. I don’t mind having a laptop nearby since I take it with me everywhere. I can just not look at my laptop lol

      For real, that extra grand is just crazy. Maybe the controller could be $799 too, I bet more people would be enticed

    nice breakdown -- love my 2,, but as a non-performer i always questioned,, why i'd opt for the standalone,, especially if u can't use vst's etc,- but,, convenience,, once again-,, i do lots of traveling,, so,, might be a thing

      I love the idea that you are able to make music without a computer. Also limitations are usually great when creating. Of course you can shut down the computer screen while using push 2.

    I’m always looking for the one box to get rid of everything else. Sick of gear. Can the push 3 do harsh noise music? Sample mangling? I am used to Octatrack and Eurorack, but wondering if the Push 3 can replace everything else for me.

      Learn the Ableton DAW 1st. You'll then be able to do whatever kind of music you want on the Push 3.

    i just started looking into the 3, and I noticed a TON of negative comments but all from 5 months ago. Was it buggy for you? Or have they worked it mostly out since then?

    Where is 16 level mode(chromatic) for a single pad on drum rack?

    • @djlucasd
      @djlucasd 3 місяці тому

      This would be nice. I just use the Simpler instrument, but it would be cool if I could just use one pad on the Drum Rack chromatically without needing to add an extra separate track. I think it has to do with how Ableton handles MIDI notes and not having nested "Notes within Notes" similar to how MPC does 16 level chromatic mode.
