I use meeple as both singular and plural. But I won't argue against someone using the word meeples. I will die on the hill in the argument between LEGO and LEGOs (LEGO is right btw. if you want to emphasize quantity, use Lego bricks or Lego parts)
I agree. The creator doesn't get to decide how people use the word. Just like with a gif, it's not jif because it sounds stupid and no one says that without an army of people ready to correct them 😂
