How are you feeling about the Blades of Khorne? Some hefty price increases, but overall do you think we look to be in a good place going into 4th Edition?!
@26jjman yep good catch! Turns our recording an hour of audio leads to a few mis-speaks! 😅, nice you don't need to rely on a chant to get it off and you can get the BT rolling that much more easily and still go for another Prayer attempt instead! :)
You missed something on skarbrand, its roar ability is 3 dice or dices equal to damage taken, so the more damage he takes more chances of mortal dmg, oh and on first turn he also gets 6 attacks with slaughter
Good catch on the Roar, I did actually note that down when I first read through the Faction Pack but then competely forgot to mention it when I was recording! That means it can do a decent bit of Damage when he's nearly dead! If he's down to just a couple of Health left he could on average kill off a foot Hero/Wizard which your Opponent definitely wouldn't be expecting! :D
Im worried the point increases are far too high. Compared to stormcast, BoK seem very expensive for their output. I feel they may be paying for their high win rate in 3rd ed.
Yeah I think it's gonna be interesting to see where everything lands after a few games happen, but the increases do seem very hefty on the face of it 😬
Cant wait for 4.1 when they totally re write these books to make sense. The regiment/unit locking system really sucks, herds people to take units they dont want to. The korgorath is a perfect example of how stupid the rules to points changes are.
What happened to Garreks reavers? Magores Fiends? Korgus Kuhl? Valkia the Bloody? Where did all the abilities and weapon profiles go? Damn a lot changed since when i last played in 2nd edition.
With how good manifestations and prayers are, the rules of army writing and the lack of unbinds, the enhancements are ALWAYS going to be Firebrand and Collar of Contempt... I also find that we lack a hero that can take any BoK in his regiment, especially with the mixed daemon/mortal list we could have. Overall, I think the bloodbound side has more potential, the heroes and units can support each other more effectively than the attrition game of the daemon side I think... Note that if you are playing Bloodletters against nurgle, the ability to come back is completely nullified by the deasesed keyword... In any case, I feel the hit, but I can only wait and see how our lists compares to others armies
I have the same feeling. The point increase hurst a lot, but havent checked the other armies and guessing its must be pretty similar so like you said we'll see
@@korodullin I think so too. The other mono-god faction all have this option via their greater daemon, this would only be fair I find strange that our thirsters can't lead any Bok tho Still, can't wait to see Khorgos come back ^^
Khorne is looking strong but with the loss of summoning overall I think they’re just a tad bit overcosted. 5-10% in most cases, which is an easy fix. Still excited to try them though.
Tha.k you for the review. I started BoK at the end of the 9th WH40k as I owned the Khorne's combat patrol but hadn't played a lot so I am not verry familiar with the rules. But what I see and I am asking if it is a way is a combo of Khorne Legion with 1 or 2 Blood master, 1 or 2 units of Bloodletters, and some units of Bloodbounds. If it work as I think it could make a chain of fight before your let you opponent even use a sword. What do you think ?
The wrathmongers only give the +1 attack when they are in combat now instead of just within 8” before. With a 5+ save they won’t last long. So their utility has decreased considerably I think
I dont understand a thing. Blood throne ability have"(army)" . So i can use that ability one per army? Just one?. That made 2 blood throne useless . Just one to take. Or can use that ability more than once?
As Toadfish has said yeah, essentially that Ability is only once per Turn across your whole Army, so any other Blood Thrones couldn't then also use that same Ability
The Khorgorath is even worse off than it appears at first glance looking at its lack of warscroll improvement and its massive jump in points. Because it now has the Monster keyword, every bit of Anti-Monster weaponry works against it and, thanks to it being reduced to a 5+ save and having no Ward, that means it's going to die even faster than it did in 3rd. The worst part, though, is that all of its weapons are now Companion tagged, which means it doesn't benefit from Wrathmongers boosting its number of attacks, Unholy Flames boosting its Rend/Wound, or the +1 to hit from the Tireless Conquerors passive for Bloodbound. It can ONLY benefit from All-Out Attack. It's a truly awful unit, and almost doubling in points is frankly insulting.
Agreed it's just... what the heck were you thinking GW? The Soulblight Vargskyr has also had a huge bump in points and I can't really see why, it seems that they don't like those medium-ish single monster Units in 4th Edition 🤣
Liking everything, with two exceptions. I wish bloodreavers still had murder rolls, and I wish bloodwarriors had....something else. Maybe an extra rend or something.
You mean volume-wise? I've never had anyone mention it being too quiet before, and it's normalised with pretty much every other UA-cam Channel that I personally know of/watch... when editing the volume on my software is always in the high yellow/occasional peaks into the red so I won't be increasing it further to avoid distortion, but sorry if it's still too quiet for you!

Absolutely loved this vid - thank you for the info
Mistake on the slaughterpriest, the blood sacrifice is an ability not a prayer so you still get to chant one of your prayers on top of this.

@@TheSixMachineno worries it happens on all of these types of videos lol. It was an awesome rundown regardless, well done!
"A replacement unit cannot be replaced"
Big loss for Skarr on that front...
Oh great catch I hadn't seen that from the main Rules and yeah that does indeed he can't come back again and again anymore! :(, poor Skarr

Great review, really detailed and loved the warscroll and points layout

I have a strong suspicion that when we see Korghos Khul back in action, he'll allow any Blades of Khorne into his regiment.

Mostly good, but I think bloodcrushers are dead at that point cost.
Agreed the increase and dropping to a 4+ Save, even though they get the 6+ Ward all the time now is just rough :(
Why do you all whisper? Point of critique

Your hearing needs to get checked my guy 😂 noone is whispering. Good luck with the hearing aids.
