I drove an 2021 Acadia Denali for the last three days as a loaner while my vehicle was in the shop. Very nice vehicle. Yes the shifter is a little weird but I did quickly got used to it and I wouldn't knock off any points at this point
I imagine the shifter's push and pull is to make sure you dont mistakenly hit the wrong one in a hurry? I love it! Got my 2020 Acadia Denali last week, but mine has the Heads up Display which is great!
Really excellent review for a few reasons - you aren't afraid to call out things that aren't great - also different camera angles , like your second row review you call out the ceiling AC vents, everyone misses this but it's huge for parents with kids in car seats that cannot feel floor-mounted vents. Nice job!
Just purchased a 2020 Acadia Denali fully loaded; I don't mind the dated look of the dash and console, but I agree that the sunroof shade is cheaply done and I'm not a fan of the shifter buttons. One other thing that bothers me is that the A pillar and mirror create a huge blind spot when I'm making close quarter turns. Otherwise I'm loving it to death! Excellent review.
We have a 2017 Acadia Limited (older, big one) with those sunroof shades. It is just like the retractable shades on the windows of your house. You release and allow it to retract back with your hand on it. Not a big deal at all.
Call me crazy, but why don’t you leave your hand on the sun roof release as it retracts? That would probably help it from slamming back. Not ideal, I agree. But I don’t think it’s a huge issue.
There must be a reason for the two sun roofs but I was looking at a Chevy traverse and the sun roof over the back seat doze not open it is a fixed peace of glass , we currently have a 2018 equinox and it has a huge sun roof I think it is called a panaramic but as impressive as it looks it is useless because of the pressure on the ears will drive you insane back window down or not. We did drive a traverse with the roof open and fwy speed with no pressure.
I'm curious how I was misleading when I showed how much room there was with me in the third row. I stated my height...obviously if you are taller it would make a difference.
@@DriversOnly I'm 6 ft. Room was fine back there. Better than the 2019 Highlander I compared it to but not as good as some others. We'd only use it for children anyway when the grandparents or friends ride with us.
I have a 2022 SLT Acadia 2.0 turbo plenty of power and I get 32 mpg on hwy and 22 city you did not notice that if you get in third row on passenger side the seat tilt’s giving you better access to third row kids usually just go between seats this my second Acadia also GM has great incentives so if you get the better price instead of over retail like Toyota or KIA you end up paying much less for and then it stacks up better against the competition
I still love the video but idc what cons u gave the Acadia. Its better than my 03 Sierra I'll tell u that. I actually would try to buy one as soon as i would sell my truck
I’d take this over the Explorer any day. The Explorer feels like a fleet car. The tablet sticking out of the dash is an eye sore. Plus the tablet isn’t integrated well at all (the reverse exterior camera is a joke). I think the Explorer is a little more roomy, but it’s a stay away. Ford mailed it in this year.
@@yourfreezer.8746 Ford is bigger and a tiny bit faster and better mpg, but nothing else is better. I've test drove both a couple times. Watch the Explorer review by Savage Geese. You'll see.
HUD is smaller and does not include signal lights, NO Coat hooks! A Pillar is much too wide. Limited 3/4 rear view in comparison to 1st gen Acadia. New 3.6 at 310 HP is welcome. Sadly it is primarily Front wheel drive. Seat belt buckles are too low. Too complicated to set various Favourites. Centre arm rest does not slide. Don't like the pull button shifter. Dash is very cluttered with different features. All power shuts down with engine off. Read the manual. If you have a Pacemaker, don't use the console charger pad. CTC has a console that fits snugly between Captains 2nd row seats. I had full bench 2nd row in my 2013. Nice. Great HVAC but poor placement of 4way flasher button and Home links. What's with the Dated BS? When using the Remote Start, the drivers seat and the steering wheel Heat is activated below 40°. The auto shutoff can be disabled. There is a dash indicator when it shifts to V4 mode. Lane change correction is great.
This Acadia since 2017 redesign is much quicker than your 288 horsepower version. We have the older 2017 Acadia Limited also and she is far from athletic and not spry from a stop. The new 2017 Acadia dropped up to 400 lbs or equivalent of two full size adults. Motorweek says the 2020 new 9-speed along with Cadillac version of the 3.6l was even quicker. ua-cam.com/video/ESznky8IS-c/v-deo.html
For fifty grand, awful. I have a 2016, no real upgrades that anyone care about. Radio is much better, but it is framed like a cheap radio. GMC, please step it up on the Acadia or lower the price. The Tahoe has it right, put at least some of the Tahoe parts in the Acadia for 50,000.
after Lexus RX this car looks so cheap. those uneven lines of body parts and interior parts. the seatings sticthes look also not too accurate. but the low price probably would make feel more tolerable to the weaknesses of this model.

There is NO push. Pull only.
You push the P for park. Pull the R for reverse.. so yeah

Enter 3rd row from passenger side more room , designed that way

Sure you could but does not fit with a SUV of this price range. Even SUVs half the price does not have this.

What's better the Chevy traverse or the GMC Acadia? They seem similar
2017 have the same functionality far as seats and vibration
This review is misleading - I looked at this vehicle this morning and there is not much room in the third row. Overall, however, the vehicle is nice.

3.6L V6, I was looking for more power, 3.6L is not powerful enough, I have 2010 and it's heavy and lack of power.

An odd collection of questionable and stupid decisions. Reminds me of the pre-bankrupt GM.
The 2019 Acadia sales increase 10,000 units over 2018. That 99,000 for 2019 is almost double Acura MDX sales for the same period.
GMC ugly interior Love Ford Explorer
The Ford is brand new and still not winning comparison tests...
