70 MPH Train Madness around Mendon! Speedy Action; Unique Catches - BNSF Marceline Subdivision

9/21/24 - BNSF Marceline Subdivision - Northeast Missouri
I headed out around the Mendon area for some railfanning and it was absolutely worth it. The action this Saturday was the busiest I had seen it in months. Scattered rain and storms throughout the whole day causing troubles with recording equipment, but that didn't bring me down.
Plenty of fast Z trains to be seen on this day, with plenty of meets. I was met with a surprise to see BNSF 7607 leading a train, its K5HLB is the last of its kind and I was quite excited to finally catch it.

@@uprailroadkidthomas Just barely!! I looked like a drowned rat at the end of the rain. The phone, portable charger, tripod, and speed gun all disagreed with the weather as well.
