KCS 1902 (GP38-2) Leads a ROAD TRAIN!? - Early Morning Action in Clark, Missouri - 7/31/24
A four axle locomotive running a road train on a mainline. Not something you’d see every day. I headed out to Clark early in the morning to catch a geep leading the 2M259. The locomotive was nominated to lead because of PTC circumstances in East St. Louis. Two bonus NS trains decided to show up as well. Overall a nice morning for railfanning.

Due to a derailment on the Geneva Sub, UP detoured some of their trains on the former MoPac in Central Missouri. Two hot Eastbound Z trains made appearances mid day. This line is most active in the evening so I was glad to catch 4 trains this afternoon. Later in the evening, the rest of the trains and detours piled in but I was unable to see them. NS 8101 (Central of Georgia) Trailing on 219 in Clark - A Hazy Saturday Morning - 7/27/24

I saw that 8101 had been flipped around to trail on 219 from Kansas City. The locomotive came in leading 115 which I was unable to catch. This made up for it. NS 1124 & NS 8101 command the East Point, GA bound intermodal train just East of the diamond in Clark, Missouri at around 9 AM, Saturday, July 26th, 2024. I got word that the Virginian heritage unit would be leading NS 255 this evening. This is one of the heritage units that I haven't managed to capture up until this point so I was very proud of this catch. The reflectivity of the paint and the streetlight made a nice effect and the triplecrown trailers are always a sight to see.

After getting word that M258 today had a CMQ locomotive trailing fourth, I quickly rushed out the door and to the diamond in Clark. @@KCTopDawg They are new crossings that aren’t hooked up. I guess someone plans to come out and do the wiring and finish installing the gates. The lights are covered with tarps currently. Thanks for watching!!
