I came here to say I agree with the guy who said the intro had him rolling (I assume there's no pun intended) but I just found your channel so I'm subbin cause you've already helped me out with a few questions I had. Cheers from Philly!
Waiting for you to take it on the road. That is going to move.
It seems slower on the road only because it hits the limiter/top speed almost instantly without the resistance of the terrain. The governor will be out soon so we’ll see what it does.
That intro had me rolling 😂
Your cat is gonna get arc flash😂
It’s a battle keeping it away when I’m welding.
So when do you get the 620 v-twin? Or better yet an old 250 or 350 2-stroke.
I can’t see ever paying $1000 for the v-twin even though I think it would be cool. I have been really interesting in finding a 2 stroke though. Went to a dirt drag event not to long ago and the 2 strokes were killing it.
Bro can we get 2 things with all your carts. A lap or drag pass time and a top speed run using your phones gps.
I’ve actually got a dragy that could give me all of that data. That’s not a bad idea.
Where can i find that clutch
This clutch is a max torque clutch with a comet bell that I swapped on just to get the gearing I wanted. You can find the max torque clutches on gopowersports or eBay and Amazon. It needs to be for a 1 inch shaft.
Hey man I was wondering what kind of clutch did you use for this? I’m actually building my own go kart with the same size engine?
It’s a Max Torque Clutch. They are relatively cheap but still good quality. I swapped a Comet bell housing onto it just to change the tooth count.
Hey man was thinking about putting one of these on my margay kart. Would you recommend using the 459?
It has a lot of power and has been reliable so far. The only downside side is there is limited aftermarket parts for it so if you plan to modify it any more than intake, exhaust and jet you may want to go with something like a 420. If you aren’t planning on modifying I think it’s a pretty good option. The power difference it makes over the 420 is worth the extra money. I got mine when harbor freight had the 25% off coupon with no restrictions which brought the price down to about the same price as a 420.
If you dont mind me asking what size are your rims and tires on the back and front?? I see the tire size but im trying to build mine and i cant find any rims anywhere for the front or back..
These are the fronts I have. They are out of stock but they may have another option with a different tire. www.gopowersports.com/5-floater-wheel-assembly-slick/
and these are the rims on the rear www.bmikarts.com/6-Douglas-Classic-Spun-Aluminum-Wheel--Black_p_10518.html
@@jwsbackyard6413 are the backs spindle mounted or do you have hubs on the back..?
I’m using standard 3 spoke aluminum hubs
