Cheap, delicious, filling, simple cuisine with complex flavors. The noodles were excellent, especially with a side of crispy fish skin. Excellent value and well deserving of the Michelin Bib Gourmand that it has been awarded.

If u want really good pork noodles, try Bamee Kon Sae Lee in Thonglor. It is much better than this one.

Whoaaa I always love eating in a place where its crowded with locals! Not really keen with very touristic areas-- will probably gonna try that place and other recommendation soon when me and my wife visit Krung Thep next time! Love from Indonesia

Hey which side of the street are pedestrians supposed to walk on? I assume we should walk on the left side of the sidewalk since cars drive on the left but as I recall, there are no rules about walking. Here in Canada, we walk on the right, just like the road rules.
Nice, when is best time to eat there?
Been to this place a couple of times. Once in the restaurant on the left and twice the one on the right. I think it’s a bit hyped and it’s nothing special. Have eaten same or better noodles soups. Tourist just go there because of the hype. Never had to queue when I went. The soup version is better than dry version imo. The version without soup was quite sweet which I didn’t really like.
We tried a few so called Michilin guide/award. It’s nothing but a hype. Most of the time, we find that a hole on the wall and places that locals go are better those michilin guide.

Hello Chon, I have really enjoyed your videos. Local knowledges come very handy for foreigners. I have a question for you. Is it safe to have a drink with ices in the local restaurants? I observe bubble teas are very popular in Thailand nowadays. Again, is ice in the drinks safe for the first time visitors?

In my case, I always avoid ice. Either the shop has refrigerated bottles or I don't order a drink. The ice itself may be pure, but the ice container and scoop may not be quite as clean.
i have been Thailand 10 times and always had Ice in my drinks, never got any serios problems, just remember to wash your hands and dont worry too much.

Frankly speaking, some Michelin-rated shops are overrated. As far as my concern, Penang has the best pork noodles. Anyone who goes to Thailand should eat Thai food, not Chinese food.

Awful recommendation. Just very mediocre noodles. Tasted much better elsewhere in Bangkok. Somboon seafood was also not great, expensive and overrated. I'll take his recommendations with a pinch of salt going forward.
