Snouters of Kaimere

- Snouters were the curious and unique inhabitants of an archipelago in the pacific unfortunately erased from existence following US bomb tests of their island home. Thankfully, this clade of shrew-like mammals was rescued over a million years prior and sent to Kaimere, where they thrive to this day.
Songs of the Inland Sea is the sequel to Tales of Kaimere! It is a nautical anthology, with all six short stories and novellas taking place in aquatic settings. There are heists on a ship, a desperate chase through a marsh, and a survival story from the perspective of a killer whale!

If those cowards at the Assembly were cool, they’d reintroduce these lads to Earth
Bro took Leptictidium and turned it into Cthullu
Nah that'll be in a few more million years when they develop sapience and civilization
I would 100 percent believe they would not stand out in kaimere
"We're an April Fools Day video, sir, we're meant to be non canon."
"Not to me."
Lmao same 🤣👍
XD
The Man who made the silent ones can make anything! He has spoken through the clades of the snouters!
Be cool if like the fake unicorn they were actually creations of the first children to be humorous pets that miraculously survived the fall of their masters and causing havoc in certain ecosystems in the same style of how we created killer bees
“Would you be noncanon?”
Snouter: “Nah, I’d snout!”
Lobotomy kaisen epidemic has spread to kaimere 😮
I don't get the pun
@@datpolakmike you have to be a jujutsu kaisen fan to understand this insanity

Greatest practical joke in all zoology x Greatest fantasy world in all zoology
The snouters appearance is a mystery, nobody nose where they came from
i am going to consider this as canon even of its april fools! XD
Same
You can pick your friends, and you can pick your canon, but you can't pick your friend's canon
Same 💯
I love how this is a thing and everybody plays along with it.
Really were peak
I know what day it is, but honestly I'd love it if you kept these guys canon because you really did a great job with these.
For real. Someone else in the comments said they would work as silly pets created by the first children that managed to survive the fall of civilization and that's such a neat loophole 😭💔
You know, with a few tweaks here and there, I can see them, or atleast creatures similar in appearance, fitting pretty well amongst Kaimere's cast. Especially the most basial, it's basically a nimble Platypus.
Yes! Glad to see Snouters survived their Earthly extinction and yet live on!😂
Yet another example that different animals will find different solutions to the same problem!! Love nose grasshoppers
(good art, and I'm excited for man eaters! Also, great music choice)
Thank you on all counts! Music has now just become my April Fools music lol it's great trickster vibes
It finally went to his head, he's gotten all snouty on us😊
Next week, SnoutZilla!!
Hahahaha i'd recognize those snoots anywhere
Icons for sure!
They were a hoax, but so worth Speculative Evolution! 😭
This is giving me Serina flashbacks
snouters are the peak animals...
I fell for this before March of the Crocodiles ended so I came prepared lol
Forever canon in our hearts
Did not expect the censored part
The tissue seemed too analogous to the [REDACTED] not to mention it
@@TalesofKaimere I personally love how out of left field that moment feels like.
This is both silly and fascinating
My favorite blend
Such funky critters they are
Happy April Fools Day!! God, I wish these guys were actually canon ngl.
Well, like last year, unless otherwise told, nothing is too strange for Kaimere.
This is arguably the most uncanny and cursed concept I have ever seen!
Absolutely!
Objectively the best april fools video
Thank you kindly!
Ah shit! These dudes are cannon to kaimere in my mind! Theoretically, how do you think a woolly snouter would defend itself against predators?
A few folks have thrown out scent, and I think that's probably their only defense. At the end of the day I think it's only a plausible build in their context, wherein they were substantially larger than local predators
@TalesofKaimere That would work! Being able to smell out predators and maybe feel the vibrations of animals with their snout feet. I imagine they could tell what animal it is through the size and distance of the vibration, Hell! Maybe they can even understand the Bosuga herds! That's the main thing that makes sense to me because visually, they seem defenseless against many of the predators in their environment, especially the cave lion. Maybe they have some sort of anal gland? It would make sense considering their ass is sticking up in the air. It's already in the perfect position to deliver a nasty spray!
Great episode. It did the fakimal thing more grounded than the Garikee Unicorn and that did benefit it a lot. Had some good jokes. Unfortunately, this isn't "Deez Nuts of Kaimere."
1. Check your front porch.
This is easily one of the best meta jokes I have ever seen
Thank you!
Great to know snouters get a second chance
Kaimere really does have everything 🤩👍
I love these little weirdos so much! Happy April Fool's Keenan!
Heck yeah they're delightful
I have been looking for more snouters content good job
Thank you!
Oh man, I knew God made everything, but I never knew he was this creative
Finally! The episode we've all been waiting for!
I knew that you would never turn down a april fools prank on us great video keenan also great beeeeep
everyone is reacting to this, and for good reason. here comes the snouters! i suspect i am not alone in wishing they could be canon.
Yeah a lot of folks are hoping. Hate to let em down!
@@TalesofKaimere plus, if you don't keep their April fool's backstory, you could have a lot of fun exploring exactly how these oddities came to be and evolved
This was an interesting April Fool's video. I still can't believe someone actually published a study as a joke.
So a man-eater episode is coming. Guess we'll be able to know without a doubt which predators are active hunters of humans on Kaimere.
Absolutely. They have quite an amusing history!
Yes indeed! Most of them won't be too surprising.
Canon now.
1) I like this fun video ! And your own pseudo-take (albeit a little unrealistic) on this wonderfull, weird yet very imaginative and popular as they deserved clade that the Snouters are !
I'm a pretty decent fan of the Rhinogrades universe and lore, so this video merging these and Kaimere fall pretty neat for me :)
2) It fall even more better as I myself got a copy of the lastest edition (3rd release) of the book "The Snouters, Forms and Life of Rhinogrades " itself, by "Harald Stumpke" and Gerolf Steiner last christmas !
This third 2013 release include 100% of the initial book from the 1961 first edition and the new additional part added about the 3 newly describe and extant species from 2012 making this clade alive again.
I read the entire book and while there several illustrations that I see online and others pictures that aren't present and could have been better to include as complements, I still overall enjoyed it a lot.
3) Despite not being present on Kaimere officially, I like that, at least, in "real-life" the clade is still alive.
As despite all the species described and named in the initial book having gone extinct due to the US bombing at 1956, the order was (re)discovered to be still alive with the discovery of 3 new species on the Santo Island in the Vanuatu Archipelago in 2012 when the Natural History Museum made the announcement dispay.
Sure, from the crazy number and diversity of the species found in the Hi-iay Archipelago to only 3 species within a unique genus, it's still quite a shame to being reduce to that, but it's still better to have these extant species still alive and maintaining the clade alive that to have nothing and the clade being entirely extinct completely.
Well nice to be watching a kaimere video after a month and half exam and family matters kept me busy
But good to start watching again although I got alot to catching up
I literally just read berserk again and you sir just give me a laugh from this
Your Birthdate???? This very Cool, thanks for his fictional world of Kaimere!!
5:50 reminds me of the terrestrial octopus from the future is wild
A good and fun video, and I think everyone guessed at the very start, or one month ago before when you posted your post on your social accounts such Facebook and Twitter after the "Natural history of Pseudosuchian on Kaimere video" released about the upcoming video of the month of march, that this one would be just a April's Fool with nothing mentionned in it being canon to the Lore of Kaimere.
Althought, to be honest, it could have been even better if this was actual canon and if Snouter were really part of Kaimere universe.
I thing there is some missopportunities here, as for a seed-world setting like Kaimere, it would have been a great opportunity to use these animals as they are extinct on Earth but could have been secured on Kaimere before their extinction on the former planet.
And it would have been a great display to present the initial book being perceived by people on earth and in our own reality as a hoax being in the end truly an actual remnants of an order of animals which are no more on Earth but now elsewhere.
I think it would have been really viable that some snouters lineages could have been harvested on Kaimere and managing to established in some places.
Most likely in islands of the Inland Sea or Khalin Sea.
There already Historical Extinct Species extinct on Earth such the Auroch, Great Auk and Passenger Pigeon that have secured and survived on Kaimere, and the base Snouters' Lore have great potentials, sadly not use at their full use here, for a similar scenario.
But all that is more a minor nitpick of mine rather than a true negative opinion, aside and overall, it was a good video to pass fun time on it.
Well, there is my nightmare
8:11 oh boy I can’t wait for that one
I'm really proud of it!
I had a fossil of one of these once, beautiful animals, I tell ya. Disappeared one day, sadly, like most evidence of Snouterhood does.
teasing us with that beautiful lion drawing is so evil, i will be back to see it :)
Merry April Fool's everyone !!
Those creatures disturb me so much
WHAT SOME F**KED UP POKÉMONS
Right? Snouters are crazy
@@TalesofKaimere indeed
A fascinating group of animals you have in this video. I wonder, what about owls in Kaimere? Owls are awesome! They're like ninjas with wings.
I also thought of a cool idea for a story on Kaimere: the Homunculi rising against the First Children. If they got smart enough to wonder why they had to take orders and rise up against their creators, that would make a good story to delve into. It could follow a Homunculus sent somewhere on a combat mission and they began to wonder why they were listening to the First Children and slowly sparks a rebellion against them.
There are definitely owls! Don't have any special ones designed but I do have some ideas.
Let's just say put a pin in that idea.
@@TalesofKaimere If extinct animals are extant in Kaimere, maybe prehistoric owls like that one from Cuba that stood 3-feet tall (I forgot the owl's name). I love owls.
All in favour of complete Snouter destruction, say I.
Even a prank, it was an exellent video. :)
Thanks!
*SNOUTERS!! LET'S GOOOO!!*
Absolute peak
As this is April . I know this is ether a prank or a real part of kaimere lore
Yeah just a prank sorry!
I've been waiting for this
I would ask why you've been releasing a lot more episodes early lately, but this one I already know. Happy April Fools Day!
The other time it was early was a mistake lol this was of course intentional
It figures.
I thought the video would be about the evolution of animals on Kaimere like Snouters, not Snouters coming to Kaimere! Also this is canon. Because I said so.
What I meant was that I believe in my heart that rodents evolved to be Snouters on some island undiscovered in Kaimere.
YOOO man eaters and SE Asia harvest!!
What pranks does Indrakai do today?
Ahah! i wasn't fooled im not going to let another Garikee unicorn incident happen to me. (Plus i already knew what the snouters were at the time of this video)
I know that it is not Canon but I genuinely wonder how well such a bizarre clade could even function
Honestly I doubt they would do well outside an insular context. A lot of their traits strike me as too inefficient to survive in a more competitive context, though a few species might adapt.
KEENAN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
(great video and happy april fools lol)
Omg those are so silly and i have no idea how they would survive irl.
Yeah it’s not probable outside of perhaps a predator-minimal insular environment
Looks like squidward could use a haircut
Hell yeah, science jokes that I’m smart enough to understand
The rhinogrades were such a fun creation!
Happy April 1st everybody🎉
You've certainly got a nose for this, Sir.
Peak Plausibility
What are Kaimeres Fairies like? Didn't Dr. James Montgomery mention them when he was talking about Vampires?
Indeed he did! In that context he was talking about Kaimerans, though the First Children are also called fairies.
But how do they hold up against the Magdeburg unicorn?
If kaimere could cross over with any franchise, what would it be?
Well, really any franchise without magic could work. No intention of ever doing real crossovers of course
Ah yes, the classic April 1st video.
It's now part of my brand lol
Here come the snooters!
Icons I love em!
Megaraptors vs dragons please ❤❤❤❤❤
Speaking of which, as you said aliens such as the solar trudge, alien from planet with 25% Earth’s gravity, and aliens from AT 62 were harvested, during what time the each of these aliens harvested?
Most non-earth planets harvested were done before the first Earth harvests. Generally with catastrophic results (new creatures struggled with Kaimere's atmosphere, gravity, etc)
Why is the snouter haunting me. I read a romcom manga somehow this thing appears and now this. Seriously what's up with them.
They're just goofy little guys and popular for good reason
I have to sides
one that hopes this is a real video
and the other that knows it April first
I regret to inform you: the latter
LIKE! LIKE!!!!!!A THOUSAND TIMES LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Bro for real. This is my brand of speculative evolution.I'm gonna soon make sure this shit gets in my possession
please make them canon ): they're just funky rodents, let them stay
Haha no no no it’s just for the joke. Rhinogrades are best kept that way
How much work did you put into this?
Haha a whole lot for a non canon joke, but I quite enjoy fully committing to the bit
can't believe someone spent 300$ to add a meme into kaimere. also 6:28 yes they are if you got paid three HUNDRED dollars to add them.
I have a crazy job lol
@@TalesofKaimere *gasp* I got responded to by my idol!?
How did he say all of that without laughing?
cool
Quick question: This episode says the SE Asia harvest episode is on the 16th. The newsletter on the other hand says that it's on the 30th. I assume I should defer to the newsletter but just in case, what's the actual date?
Yeah defer to the newsletter. Rearranged the dates to make more sense, and I'd already uploaded the cachalot for my birthday on the 23rd
I don't care what you all say. But for me this is cannon.
We stan a true believer
6:45 on en a un ?
Kaimere Deepest Lore is that the north pole continent is inhabited by rhinogrades.
I was hoping the snouters of this verse would be based in fact 😢
Like maybe descendants of Leptictidium mutated by the first children and be canon. An April fools but not! Now I’m sad. 😞
Koloptrum clap's kurajaku's cheeks.
Prove me wrong
:skull:
Hey, I’ve made a project similar to yours and I was hoping you could share your thoughts on it. we both have a social micro organism that harvested prehistoric life, are both called magic in each our worlds and both have been domesticated by humans to act as weapons although the differences are range of cloning, my ended harvesting at the pliocene epoch and they dropped everything in all at once. so I just wanted to your feedback on that, hope I don't sound clingy
Don't really know what to offer for feedback. Don't know about your project and I tend to avoid other similar projects so I don't accidentally plagiarize (I store things I've read in natural and human history for later inspiration and wouldn't want to mix someone else's fiction into that) but all I can say is keep doing your thing. I wouldn't worry about it.
can this be canon? just for fun? Maybe a mythic clade from a island destroyed by a traded Greek Fire test?
Is that yes?
Out of curiosity, do you think that some of the first children would create something like the Snouter for $#!ts and giggles?
Haha it's entirely possible! They wouldn't make something so convergent with a joke we made, but the general vibes and appearance fit their aesthetic
Alright, Keenan, if you're gonna do snouters Do me a favor and look up fragment by warren faye
I'll put it on my list!
make them canon coward
Whats Upscrat?
Glitched rats, lol hehehehehehe.
Great work by the way, create a new creatures whit a ancient species is brillant.
