This works on 2024 f150?
Did the factory wire harness have to plug all the way in and click before the speaker worked? I can’t plug the factory wire harness all the way into my power bass speakers in my 2011 ford explorer and they won’t play any sound
Yes. The Rears cane with adapters that I had to use .
I wonder if this would work for the unleashed system
I'm not sure..if they have anything like this, it sure will be.
I want to do this on my single cab 2023 f150 but I’m wondering if it’ll make enough of a difference since it only has 2 speakers in the doors
I would undoubtedly say yes. They are a much better speaker...
@@BoltsNBoost thank you so much!
Me too because on the XL or XLT there’s no speaker upgrade option from factory so it doesn’t sound that good I would do it
@@IssacOjeda it doesn’t make that much of a difference I ended up going with Rockford fosgate 6.75 component speakers and an amp it sounds amazing
@@a1109101112 you think it was worth it? How much did you end up paying? I wanna do a upgrade too
Is there a speaker to replace the one on the center of dashboard?
Not am easy drop in solution. If you want a complete drop in solution... you find a Sony center channel from any Ford (I think) with the Sony system
I have a b&o system do u think these speakers would do a difference to it
Hey.. I'm not certain. I don't have the system. I'd inspect the speakers and see if they compare in build quality to these.
They would make a different I also have the b&o system and it's trash for bass. Now I've looked these up and if you have the b&o system crutchfield says they won't fit....
So these are just plug and play because i have a single cab 2022 and i want to do this
Yes they were plug and play. Awesome solution!
@@BoltsNBoostawesome thanks buddy👍👍
@@jorgegeorgegeorge4567How do you like them? Planning to do them on my 23 single cab xlt
Did you do the tweeters as well?
I did yes. Never got around to installing them.
Hello bolts and bolts !
Not sure i understand the ohms part of the video
powerbassusa.com/us/en/products/oem-direct-fit/
Im confused is it worth buying or its just such a small upgrade that its not really worth it
2021 F150 XLT
Depends if you value sound. Mine was definitely missing soemthing. The factory speakers have such small magnets and made out of paper almost lol. So in material alone, it increases a much better sound and bass.
Does the loudness factor inprove or no?
A bit yes. Overall sound quality massively improved.
6x9 coaxial or component?
I’m getting those 2 options on Amazon
Thanks
Coaxial rear and components for front. For me anyway
@@BoltsNBoost 2022 xlt 302… here
@@josipdolic6391 same as me then
@@BoltsNBoost perfect thanks man
I added behind rear seat a JL sub and it’s worth every penny
Would these speakers increase quality to even higher?
Is this a B&O or Sony system stock?
It was just the base system. I think its either what I have or B&O for this year f150.
@@BoltsNBoost - thank you sir!
Seems like a good option. Did you install the rears?
I did. Next video:)
So this truck takes 6x9 front and 6.5 back?
Yes, at least mine did. 2021 f150 crew.
I installed these speakers in my 18 F150. Not impressed with them.
There will be a little difference in sound due to the materials of the new speaker (magnet, coils, and speaker material), but not much due to the wattage and frequency being the same. If you want an actual performance increase you will need wattage to speakers through external source and tuning with external EQ whether built into high quality amp or separate unit. Anything short of that and you are wasting your money "upgrading" speakers while leaving what actually gives you the source/power of the sound the same.
While I agree to an extent. These drop in speakers provide night and day difference....
It's his money - and you're completely incorrect, if say you're listening to music at 12-13 volume - with the right impedance speakers you'll hear a huge difference due to aftermarket materials providing better frequency response (and don't get me started on going with say a proper two-way 6x9 - if your music has crisp highs) vs the solo axial factory speaker...
I recently installed the front 6x9s in my 21 f150 but they sounded bad, kinda flat i guess? Am i missing something? I expected them to atleast sound as good as factory but maybe with higher volume. Definitely not the case. Any suggestions?@BoltsNBoost
Don’t do it. Messed my factory speaker connector on door harness up trying to plug it into these powerbass speakers and now it won’t go in factory speaker or anything. Tweeter is dead now also because of it.
Definitely install error. I have done bith my trucks with 0 issues. Installed factory speakers when I traded this one in again with 0 issues.
All I tried to do is plug it in. I’d read comments that said it was tight and I tried hard than I should have obviously. So I know it’s on me. But the factory clip on truck did not want to go in. Now I have to figure out how to fix pins in connector on speaker.
Pins on wire connector in door my bad.
@@CajunPlumber337 it comes with a specific adapter. Those were likely not used.
Directions in box said to plug directly to speaker. So maybe that’s it buddy. And connector in new speaker and factory. Or wire port rather looked identical.
For what these cost, it's not worth it. The front speakers there is no difference in sound. The rears is definitely better but still very limited and will distort like the factory. Overall sound improvement is very minimal and not worth the cost of the speakers. Not that the speakers are not decent, it all lays within the infotainment center. Its just not capable of good quality sound. $275 lesson learned! Dont buy them you will not be happy with the outcome.
