- We took our budgie Blueberry on a road trip!!! We weren't sure what to expect, but I'm pretty sure he (or she) can't wait for the next one!! What a trooper. But it's also nice to be home...
PS - Blueberry came to us clipped but we can't wait for those little wings to grow out!

I think every living being has some deeply rooted instincts which tell them to jump on hotel beds! :D
Yes! That's exactly what I do all day at a hotel!
What i do with the hotel beds is make bridges in between the 2 since there are usually 2 right beside and then me and my brother when we were little we would try to walk over the other person 🤣
I think you’re gonna show people that they don’t have to get a bigger bird like a macaw or an umbrella cockatoo to “have a cool bird”. Budgies are just as amazing as any other type of bird!

I'm not a bird owner (yet, just waiting for the right time in my life and until I feel I know enough, currently volunteering at a sanctuary, hoping to eventually adopt though), but I watch every birdtricks video, and without fail, the thought always crossesmy mind that Capri is so blessed to have the family she does and get to experience all these amazing creatures and places and learn from the best while doing so, Dave and Jamie def deserve parent of the year awards lol and the grandparents deserve awards for totally supporting and adopting the bird lifestyle to help out the fam too, so wholesome, the lot of them lol, makes me smile every time 😊❤

My blue budgie Sidney learned to step up 1 hour after we got her. Now she flies to me across the room. I'm so happy with her progress.
On a side note, that perch on the window is *soooo cuuuttee!!!!*

@@diamondfox_w9008 For me it's been 1 year and I can pet them but they don't eat out of my hand petting is only allowed at night cause in the morning the freak out and Yeah petting is the only thing they allow me to do

It is so cool to see how big Caori us getting with those long legs. It seems like yesterday when she was barely able to stand against stronger winds.
And yes being around them as she has she is just a natural and does a heart good to watch you all together for sure.
Capri is getting so BIG and so fast, and I can definitely see her knowledge in training is getting better and better. I love seeing her interact and train with you guys. 💕🐤🐦

I love the masterclass /training videos the best.it's so fascinating and heart warming seeing these beautiful majestic birds being so smart and just doing what they're suppose to..flying 🥰

GET A BIRD...if you have the time and compassion for animals. Trust me, it's the most rewarding relationship in the animal kingdom.
This brings back so many wounderful memories for me.
When I was alittle older then Capri I caught a Budgie Bird the exact same color as Blue. My mom hated birds " they scared her for some reason", but I begged and pleaded to keep him. However was made to place a add in newspaper first and wait, but nobody replyed.
So I got a cage, picked out his name " Joey " and he was so much fun. He was aloud to be free in the house and joined us at the table often. My father loved him to. He whistled just like my dad did and would say PRETTY BOY.
WE road tripped with him once for 5 days through the Rocky Mountains from Calgary to British Columbia and he stayed outside the cage most tines running back and forth on the bench seat and tickled my dad's neck and ears.
At motels we would stop at he would come outside with me by the pool and just sit on my finger.
One day after years of having my Joey, I came home from school and went to clean his cage and he was on the floor of it dead.
It was my first and only Pure,Love for a pet and experienced aweful heartbreak.
My mother made a sweet Box from Kleenex and we buried Joey in our back yard.😥.
Thank you so so much for sharing Blues Road trip and for bringing back memories at a time in my life that was GOOD, as not alot of great childhood memories.
How long from babies do budgies live for, as I did not know the age of Joey.
My father said we could sorta tell by the rings on his beak?. 🥰💙🐦.

Kleenex , you use them to mourne then they make perfect coffins for small pets. We buried my gf’s hamster in a Kleenex box aswell
What did u feed them? Cause feeding them just seeds shortens their lifespan or maybe the bird was older

Now you have small, medium and large...the family is complete even though it's missing Bandit. I love the interaction between Capri and Blueberry!
I love, love, love budgies! We have 2 right now, and they just talk and play with us all day. My female always says "who's the baby, kiwi the baby" and "here kiwi kiwi kiwi kiwi" and "come here **kissing sounds* awwww love you". Our Male just sings, but hes fun too!

The way your daughter looks at Blueberry while spinning on the chair is absolutely precious, it really captures the love and curiosity we can have for animals.
I loved this video! Blueberry reminds me of Aaron, my budgie.
I just got him back from the vet yesterday. He was really sick and had to stay at the vet hospital for about 5 days. I was so happy they helped him, I couldn't stand to loose him. He has the biggest personality and is the sweetest budgie I've ever met. Budgies deserve more appreciation than they get.

JayJay also went on a road trip as well, from WA to MI, and then a few other smaller road trips! Now he's getting pretty old (he's 11) so its harder to do that, he is a little more nervous but as a youngster he was totally fine with it :)
