Great interview, Sam! Really enjoyed it. You have overcome so much! Yes, during covid you would've been stuck in India. My uber PIMI mom got stuck there and getting home was pretty harrowing.
Enjoyed hearing about your life as a former JW. Glad you have overcome many hurdles you had faced growing up. That 'accent' you spoke of is when some 'self-righteous' JW is talking down to you. My only recourse was to feel sympathy for a person who felt the need to degrade another. No excuse for their arrogance. Don't resent them. Pity them. It will help with your healing.
Sam, thank you for sharing your story. I'm so happy you survived the JW'S. You should be proud of yourself. Keep healing, keep growing and keep learning. ❤
It's amazing how well you come across after all you've been through. Obviously you're carrying deep scars but I'm sure, like me, everyone watching will be wishing/willing the best for you. Well done and all power to you!
here's a kicker... as an MS being expected to become an elder some day, it was emphasized, as a shepherd, elders need to be careful because an elders are accountable for causing others to stumble, or can be blood guilty if a decision (like removing or taking away privileges unjustifiably) causing a brother/sister to fall away from jehova or the organization.

So impressive, you got a scholarship for your saxophone musicianship! Do you still play?
