A quality bathroom including products, tiles, installation, tiling, rubbish removal and materials from a professional firm costs between £15-30k in the South East. Cheap fixings, particularly from online usually last no more that 5 years. I know because I strip these bathrooms out every week and see which products last 5 years and which last 30+ years. It's so easy to achieve the instagram look cheaply, but it rarely lasts.
Great advice and for the ballpark figure in the South East, thank you. I totally agree, pay peanuts, get monkeys. It was the best advice we took from our plumber, it's too easy to be taken in by the cheap products online, and usually they're the ones with the most advertising so they entice you in first.
Great video and info, this is really helpful. We are also looking to remodel our bathroom of similar size. We have worked out the cost for the fittings and furniture we like at around £4k. Do you have idea of what would be reasonable for cost of labor (demolition, tiling, plastering and installation)?
Thanks for your comment and glad it was helpful! We did the majority of work ourselves so unsure what labour costs would be on top, I'd recommend getting 3 different quotes for work as it's dependent where you are in the country too, good luck with the remodel!
Really struggling with what layout i would like for our bathroom. Our bathroom and toilet are separate but would like to knock the stud wall between them down and make it just one room, take away the bath and just have a shower (the same length as the bath) but would like a sink with a light up mirror above it, only problem being is there is a window just above the sink 😏, i just cant figure out what way would be best xx
Happy to take a look at your floor plan with a fresh set of eyes if that would help! You can upload as a comment on my blog and I'll come back to you :) www.sleek-chic.co.uk/2022/04/our-victorian-bathroom-renovation.html
Great and helpful video though there goes the budget I thought I made because I did go for cheaper fixtures etc. Would love it if you could help with a bathroom layout that we just can't figure out. It is a bathroom of a house that we are in the process of purchasing..
