Your Robert Wood oil painting could be worth thousands of dollars. He lived 1889-1979 and is very well known. Please have it appraised and listed as a separate insured item. Maybe display in your home instead of the B&B.
This is exactly what i NEEDED to watch. We bought a 1973 home and have owned it for 20 years. The primary bedroom has a phone booth bathroom if you can believe. We started with the kitchen working back and doing one project at a time due to finances. COVID came and husband lost 2 jobs. So we've had the phone booth project on the back burner for awhile. Its so depressing to go back there. But you have inspired me and I absolutely LOVE thise ideas! Thank you !

Haven't had my colors done but remember it in the 80s. Great tips for small bath reno! Preparing to have my basement bath done and getting ideas, tips and information on renovations. Hadn't considered a prefab shower pan but seeing what you've done, I'm rethinking my decision and can use that money elsewhere. Love the vertical subway tile and color. Realize my color choices are dark for a small shower and bathroom so you've saved me from a big snafu. Going lighter and neutral now.

My bathroom is so small that it has very little storage, so I added baskets to its shelves, and was able to find places for everything. Baskets are great, because I just pull them down and set them on the counter for easy access, instead of digging in cabinets.
My husband and I flip homes and the tiny bathrooms have become my favorite to design and make super chic and cute with a statement wall and all...love them and your videos! :)
I have a tub/shower combo and added a chrome tube shelf/to towel bar over the non-spout end of the tub to store 6 folded towels and a bin of 2 doz. microfiber face cloths. S-hooks organize brushes, scrubbers and hand-washed bathing suits on the towel bar. I recessed 3 medicine cabinets into the wall for extra storage and a 3-way mirror. Hanging the base cabinet from the wall frees up floor space and makes the space seem more open. Adding a shelf for a toilet brush holder and toilet paper supply, andhanging a waste basket from the wall also makes the floor space appear larger and more open and makes floor cleaning faster because you dont have to move anything. Also attached clear acrylic magazine holders to back of door using damage-free Command hook and loop strips.

Oh yes I had my colors done in the 80s. I had my daughters done as well. She’s a Spring. One of my sister‘s friend was in it and did it as a side job. I am a Summer. I don’t always wear my colors but there is quite the difference when I do. I have to wear the soft pastels. Now, my sister she’s an autumn, and she dresses strictly in her autumn colors. When I don’t she teases me and says well that’s OK I’ll just look better than you. Ha ha.

Bought a gold colored flush handle years ago. Hubby broke the toilet trying to get the old rusty handle off. I wound up with lovely modern toilet that had a chrome handle. He refused to try that again.
I had my colors done in the early 90’s and was told I was a summer by one person and a spring by another. In my opinion the summer colors are truly my colors but I can wear some spring colors. I think it really works if you apply it.
Your mom is correct. "Color Me Beautiful" was a bestseller when it hit the market. Also, back in the day, people used a bathroom one at a time. So not much floor space was required.

A clear shower curtain will make a small bathroom feel bigger than a white one will. Just change out your shower fixtures to something high end, because they are then on display.
