Hey man i just got into rc because of my uncle and i was thinking of getting this for my scx24 bronco
Oh and would it work with the second gen power system
Watched this a long time ago, just ordered my first furitek setup and came back to refresh on the install, your joy got me so much more pumped 😂❤🙌
Just ordered this brushless motor after watching your video Adam. I already have the Furitek Brushless motor in my Chevy C10 but this looks more compact so ordered it from Mofo RC.
I have to say that i absolute love this channel as i’m a massive fan of the SCX24’s. You even convinced me to put the double barrel shocks in all three of mine because i really thought that they would make the rig sit to high when i first saw them.
I only found this channel about a month ago and now has to be one of the best on UA-cam by far.
There isnt much in the way of upgrades for these in the UK so have to order all mine from USA or China. I have now fell back in love with these after watching your channel and forgot how much i love the SCX24’s, i’m even thinking of doing a deadbolt build like yourself.
Sorry for waffling on Bud i just had to tell you that this channel kicks ass 👍🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻❤️❤️
Wow, I am so appreciative of your kind words! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content and this really motivates me to keep going. Please let me know if there are any additional topics you would like to see covered!
@@CapeCrawlers honestly Adam you have given me so many ideas in how i want my C10 to look and drive. Its us fans who should be appreciative of you Bud, taking the time to film these videos and edit them takes a lot and people just expect it without showing how grateful we are.
I wondered if you have ever had this problem, when i reverse my shocks extend all the way up making the truck look like its a Monster truck and when i drive forward they compress all the way making it look like i’m running it droop style. Its had me scratching my head for a couple of weeks now and i just cant pinpoint why it would happen.
Really looking forward to running the slow motion pancake motor and to see how it compared to the Komodo using the Lizard esc on 3s. If you can give the Lizard and Komodo a go, i think you will love it.
Looking forward to see whats next and if i come up with something i will let you know asap.
Take care Bud and thanks for making these videos, for the 25 mins or so all the worries seem to disappear 😜😜👍🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Your enthusiasm was infectious. Was very fun to watch.
Thank you! I'm still experiencing a lot of this stuff for the first time and it's a lot of fun to share those experiences.
It’s crazy how well that chassis responds to upgrades. I would like to do a similar build but without portal axles. Maybe use injora +4mm axles with black brass links and brass everything else for weight bias. I like the micro Komodo or the venom because the torque is great so maybe I will do something like that. Nice build though
Fantastic video and review, Adam! No need to be embarrassed. Your authenticity is incredible and keeps us watching! I’ve never considered brushless in any of our crawlers, but after watching this I might pause on the Deadbolt purchase and go brushless with one of our SCX24s. Thank you for being real and pumping out these clips. Looking forward to seeing more runtime 👍🏻
Thanks, I appreciate that! I highly recommend the brushless upgrade. It’s a complete game changer!
Awesome video. Great job showing how much of a difference brushless makes! Enjoy my friend!👍👍
Thanks for watching! I’m enjoying the heck outta them!
Thank you for making these last couple videos. You convinced me to pull the trigger on my first brushless setup as well. I got the same exact setup as you. Really excited to get the motor in the mail 😈
Thanks for watching! You’re gonna love it!!!
Oh man that is super cool! So much control, the slow crawl is insane! I'd love to convert to brushless, but it is not in the budget at the moment. Definitely seems like the way to go though. Very cool video Adam, your enthusiasm is great! Thanks man, take care!!!
Thanks for watching! It was a wicked fun upgrade as you can tell 😂
Thanks for sharing! Really inspire me to go brushless too! I did a lot of upgrades based on your videos and experience! Thanks!
You won’t regret it!
@@CapeCrawlers How noticeable is an torque difference between your brushless set up and injura motor?
Yeah let’s See it out on the course awesome love it
I got some good run footage coming soon
*Wow awesome video my friend,, and cool rc car 👍👍💯*
Thank you, it’s a lot of fun!
Woah... I see something in my near future... 😍
You won’t regret it!
That’s so amazing and yeah when you see the outrunner motor you will always say wow oh my God that’s what I always 😅say when I see my it’s so amazing to see the mechanic like you said❤️💯
I could watch it spin up for hours. It’s so mesmerizing!

Okey. I like and your information is good brother. I hear it 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks for watching!
Hey man thanks for helping me with my build
You’re welcome! Anything I can do to help!
Hell yeah!
Best mod ever
Hello from southeast alaska nice crawl video bro
Thanks my friend!
Gonna need to get me one of those
Yes. Yes you are!
Man you are like a kid in a candy store 😁😁👍👍 But I got no room to talk because I’d be the same way yeah love it, as always appreciate you sharing Yep I’m here watching
I totally am 🤣🤣
If you’re interested in still keeping the relatively heavy battery up front, with some driveshaft manipulation you can flip your skid plate 180 degrees and you can have the pancake rearward and the battery in its original position. Great video as always.
Genius!
I second this recommendation. I flipped the skid plate for my brushless build, keeping the battery low and to the front.
What chassis is this again?
You can get just as good slow motion control with brushed with the right esc and motor…At least in 1/10th scale.
😊
I'm looking forward to trying that out in the 1/10 soon!
Just put the pancake motor in my gray bronco, along with the new grasshopper chassis it is sitting super low now. I haven’t ran and tested yet waiting on parts
Oh man, you’re going to love it
Just picked mine up from their website for $99 with the lizard pro w/Bluetooth and motor plate
Great deal!
Great review and genuine reaction. We build & run these rigs for fun, right :)
I upgraed my Gladiator with the Furitek STINGER brushless power combo, (Lizard Pro ECS, Bluetooth, Micro Komodo brushless motor, CNC motor mount). Really pleased with the upgrade, but the price to performance of the Lizard Pro ESC is high, ($80 on the Furitek website).
As a cheaper alternative for my Deadbolt, I tried the PN Racing 90T brushed motor & mount kit, ($54), with stock v2 ESC. I have to say I prefer this setup to the Furitek brushless. Slow crawl is good and much better high speed. Before you give up on brushed systems, I'd be interested in your opinion on this setup. Enjoying your builds and reviews, keep crawlin.
You prefer the PN racing setup over the furitek? Is that from a cost versus benefit perspective? I am very interested in the setup you suggest and I’m thinking it could be a great addition to my c10, which got the V2 electronics from the gladiator. Thanks for the tips!
@@CapeCrawlers Soz, yes I prefer the PN racing setup from a cost vs benefit perspective.
IMHO, my Deadbolt with the PN motor and stock v2 ESC performs as well if not better than my Gladiator with the Furitek Stinger combo. I may have lost a little on the slow crawl, but not enough for it to matter when actually on the rocks. Obviously the trucks are different builds so not really comparing apples to apples.
Plus the Furitek setup just seems unreliable, losing transmitter connection on most runs. That hurts when paying premium prices.
If you do try the PN Racing 90T, I'd recommend you flip the motor so it mounts to the rear, much easier for battery placement in the front. Note, you may need a longer front driveshaft. These rigs are too much fun :)
Sweet!! I went brushless in one of scx24's, well they both are brushless now. Lol
What an incredible difference it makes!
@@CapeCrawlersI know, it's insane. I love watching them creep over the rocks in slow motion.
So I guess the downside to brushless is you have to rebuild your course to make it challenging again! LOL!
Pretty much!
cant wait to get this brushless system myself, oh and also what springs do you have on?
It’s a great system! I am using stock springs on the HR shocks.
@@CapeCrawlers oh sweet! did you have to use any shock oil?
@@airwolf_media5769 Nope, no oil. HR recommends some grease on the shock shaft if there is binding, but I didnt even feel the need to do that.
@@CapeCrawlers will definitely have to give these a try!
I'm putting the Komodo micro with lizard pro in my Kyosho mini z Jeep
Loved your reaction to this absolute GAME CHANGER
Wonder if you'll buy the Komodo micro motor in your JLU to compare against the mofo motor
Oh and thanks for all your suspension tips 🙏
Check out the later videos in the series, I do end up purchasing the furitek system. The micro komodo is a beast!! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
and why use the V1 electronics over v2?
The V2 electronics aren’t compatible with the lizard pro but the V1 works. Swapping them is just a inexpensive and convenient way to get the system up and running
What tires do you say those are
New swamp kings by little guy racing parts
Question. Will this fit in the new axial scx cx 1. 1/24
It can but will take some modifying. You’ll need to do away with the battery and esc mount and just use the skid and vertical frame plates.
@@CapeCrawlers thank you. Love your videos this is my first tiny crawler. I have to go brushless.
I've been considering going brushless with my Gladiator, but am curious why you switched the Gladiator to V1 electronics?
The V2 electronics are not compatible with the Lizard Pro setup, so an aftermarket ESC setup, or the V1 is required to complete the conversion.
@@CapeCrawlers Thanks for the input!
I would like to do this in my Gladiator as well. Do you have to swap out to the version 1 electronics?
Yes you do. I took the V1 setup from my C10 and swapped it with the gladiator
@@CapeCrawlers gotcha. I actually have a c10 as well. Thanks !
What tires are These?
LGRP swamp kings. Love them!
What are the brand and name of those tires? They are pimp
These are the new little guy racing parts swamp kings! They’re awesome
Thanks! I’m getting myself some!
Super cool review! Next game changer would be 4WS (4 wheels steering), I believe. Mounting front axle and servo at the rear, replacing transmitter and receiver with 4WD-capable one (I am using Futaba T4PM).
Thanks for watching! 4WS would be super gnarly. I’d like to build a rock bouncer this winter and put 4WS and the whole works on it.
If you go 4ws route, consider this option!
Bastens QuadSteer 4 wheel steering control module works with either 2Ch or 3Ch transmitters
I can’t wait to spending more money😂
It’s easy to do with these things 😬
Let us know how that works for you! Lol
RCAWD Portals?
Yes, exactly
Early😬
My man 🙏🏻
