It's always heartbreaking, when someone dies so young as Michelle Thomas, did. When I heard that she had cancer, I was shocked & when I heard she had passed away, it was even more shocking.

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer around the same time and was also given the diagnosis of no children. My doctor called me after hearing about her death on the radio and told me my time was up and it was time to schedule my surgery. I did and they found it had spread. I cried about never being a mother. I ended up adopting my son a year later. 9 years later I adopted a daughter.
I wasn’t a Family Matters fan so, I didn’t know who she was until my doctor started talking about her situation. 😢

God bless everything worked out for you. Michelle Thomas died at such a young age of 30. I lost my dad at the age of 31 since losing our loved ones at such a very early age hurts. I was only 2 and a half years old when my dad died. R.I.P. for all our loved ones that have passed away over the years.

She was a good friend to me. We met in circa 86 on a NJT train, both coming back from entertainment work. So sweet and girly! NJ being both of our homestate. Her dad played trumpet in Kool & the Gang. DT. Nice man. I'll never for when we met she was wearing like a white faux fur stole and she was so tiny beside me! We remained friends. She live in Caldwell, i lived in Edison. Last time we were together i remember she had gotten into walking over hot coals! We were both open to metaphysics but i lol, "No way am i trying to walk over any hot coals!" She lol and tried to convince me how amazing it was and i should give it a try for a big breakthrough. I do Miss her blinding smile. I was never a fan of Family Matters because i knew she was so much more than that show! 🤍

As a current stage 4 colon cancer patient, I think you stating that Michelle still getting cancer despite being a healthy eater + not drinking or smoking + implying stress caused her cancer is a little wild. Cancer can be genetic, cancer can be caused by a negative lifestyle but not always, cancer can just happen unfortunately. Cancer effects everyone, no matter the color or gender. Stress doesn't CAUSE cancer...maybe there's studies saying stress can contribute to a cancer diagnosis but it doesn't cause cancer. God Bless Michelle Thomas, may she Rest In Peace 🙏

Unfortunately, stress is also a contributing factor. My late mom and sister passed away due to traumatic stress.

Natalie Deselle (played Mickey in Baps) was my classmate throughout jr high and high school...we grew up in the same neighborhood. You can still find videos of her on the red carpet stating to not sign contracts unless you have an attorney etc...well she also died of stonach cancer.

I knew her. We went to school together and she was very, very sweet and genuinely friendly and naturally beautiful. I used to help her with her Spanish homework and make her laugh--she had a precious laugh and was never fake. Her mom is beautiful too and was also very nice and funny. Michelle was such a darling and not at all stuck up/conceited.

Having watched quite a few of my family members die from cancer, I've learned that it originates from a spiritual Dis-Ease. Physical health helps, but is not a deterrent. She was an angel on earth who served her purpose because her impact reverberated well beyond her years. She is at peace and rested now🙏🏾

Her friend Khadijah Bell and the late Ronald Bell were Muslims and it's possible Michelle Thomas was introduced to her faith that way. On the other hand, I think her parents were Christian and, although they didn't put any crosses or Biblical verses on her tombstone, writing Christmas and Easter on it is peculiar. I wish this was/is clarified by those close to her because that's what any person who adheres to any religion would want since your faith is important to you.

I can't watch reruns of Family Matters because I get so angry and sad over how they treated her and Mr White. She had the grace, beauty, and star quality of an A list actress. Deserved so much better than she got.

It was on this day and date that I found out she was gone. I was in love with this woman, and the only reason I even watched the show. Really sad to learn this today...gonna go cry now. RIP gorgeous one.

I love seeing Miss Myra Boutros Boutros Monkhouse on my TV Screen. Myra gave glitter, sunshine and happiness. All that great stuff, Laura couldn’t give. Michelle Thomas was a phenomenal and underrated actress. She will forever be missed. Rest in Peace 🕊️ ❤.

🤍🤍🕊️ 🕊️ She really seemed like a lovely young women; an absolute shame she passed so young. I enjoyed watching her as Justine and I also enjoyed her work as Myra, but her character was cheated. The writers could have done more to protect Myra.
Since she did not sell her soul, the fix was in! Wasn't up to the writers sis! It's much deeper than that! Think about it! Really think about it!!!
