Fantastic mate! Lovely landing also. My Sport 2 won't let me get fully upright. Same harness in my Falcon 2, but acts differently. I'll speak to my instructor about it. We ordered a new hang strap that's the right length. Hopefully that helps. No wind landings suck right now! LOL Great flying. Keep it up.
It’s still a freedom and that’s what I want. Just got a few hours in weak air fighting (most of the time) to stay up, so hard to talk about differences. But I felt fully comfortable to fly around close to ground. This is really the best thing about both freedom and my liberty they are part of you and they “talk’s” with you.
Hi Peter, you look like a young man of my vintage. I'm 70yrs. Started flying in the late 1970's but haven't flown for 8yrs. Would love to get back in the air again but may be too late. Great landing.
I"m 78 and haven't flown HG since 2009. got my air tow rating then, had a day in light winds but good thermals at Wallaby Ranch in Florida that ended with a 7000 gain straight up above the Ranch. That was in a Sport 2 but I sold it a few years back. Not in bad shape, still holding my weight at 170 but not sure whether the Freedom 170 is big enough for me. My Sport 2 155 was fine but Liberty is single surface (well, 35%) but not sure 170 is big enough. I flew a 190 sq ft Seagull 10.5 back in the day, it was perfect. Hope you see this and can reply, thanks.
Hi My weight is nude 73 kg just in the low weight scale for freedom 170. I am wery happy with the 170. My friend has one 170 to and his weight is about 88 and he is also very happy with his freedom. So... We fly a lot together it is no big difference between us in the air.
Lovely flight! You certainly look to be having a good time. Watching your flight gets my juices going to fly again. I'm looking for a used 170 but not sure it's big enough for me. My hook in weight is 195-200 lbs. max. (88-90 kg) How much do you weigh? I'm 78. Did a lot of low-altitude shoreline flying in my day, mostly in California. As well as a lot of thermal flying all over North America.

Very nice - just got a new North Wing Freedom 2 also - such a fun glider to fly - really nice flying site you have!

I'm looking for a used Freedom but unsure about the weight as I replied to OP above. What is your hookin weight/what size Freedom do you have? Thanks

Nice I just got one also. Seems to have a bit lighter roll effort than my old one.
Or did you gain a little weight like me? LOL

Big differences ?
