Yeah it was awkward. I love these guys I wish j dawg did so it wasn’t as awkward in the beginning, and then maybe they could’ve got a bit longer.

Good interview, but i like when J Dawg leads it and asks all the questions better. Plus im surprised they didn't mention the Death Metal band BURIAL, from western Massachusetts. They had a ep titled Mourning The Millennium i think it's called and a full length titled Enlightened With Pain. I remember the Dawg mentioned that album a few times before.

Being from Cleveland I forgot to ask them about being signed to Visceral Productions originally along with Exhumed, Incantation, Nile etc. Craig from Hemdales label and distro. Huge selection of rare stuff at the time since he bought the remaining stock of Stage 3 Distribution. Repulse and Relapse bought out the contracts of the artists and that's how Nile, Exhumed and Hemdales ended up on Relapse with Scattered and Incan going to Repulse. Relapse disputed that Incan owed them more albums so that's why Forsaken Mourning was reissued on Relapse with bonus tracks and they did Diabolical Conquest & Infernal Storm before signing with Necropolis for Blasphemy.......

When we were young teens in the early 2000s my mate randomly bought a copy of “inherent perversion” second hand at the only store that sold any metal shit in our city. Now keep in mind this is all the way down in fukn New Zealand so the chances of that for a relatively unknown underground band from the past were fuck all. Anyway we were fukn blown away by how much ass this shit kicked like we all felt it was the perfect death metal sound and easily held up to all the huge bands at the time (cryptopsy, dying fetus,skinless, nile, cannibal,suffocation, etc) except this shit was waaayyyyy fukn heavier than any of them. That first slow beef chug riff in the first song after the eerie note rings for a bit still spikes my adrenaline more than anything to this day... that shit defines what I got into death metal for. Not technical wankery just absolutely crushing heaviness. That whole EP is death metal perfection to me. No ghey boring wank shit, just pummelling, dark, heavy beyond all fuck brutality but still catchy as fuck. This band should have been huge.
