It is remarkable how a 6-month old Newfoundland puppy who has never seen snow is immediately comfortable and at home in it, as if he has been playing in and plowing through snow all of his life.
Thanks so much! My Newf and I lived in a Colorado cabin for 5 years. He'd dive down under the snow and run 20 yards or so raising a gopher trail then pop out slobbering and drooling, shake his head and go back under for another run. He loved snow, sat on the one snow drift that lasted until mid June when everything else was dry ground. Didn't really like inside much, mostly sat on the porch on his sleeping bag He'd get covered in snow and sleep just fine. You brought back years of good memories
Didn't check all the comments, but can't imagine anyone NOT enjoying this video - or falling in love with this precious dog. I've had Newfies over my lifetime and your dog reminds me of all of them rolled into one image. Awesome video. Thanks for the memory boost ! and I LOVE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEIR DOGS !
We've had two Great Pyrenees ( brother and sister) for almost eleven years. The male just passed away on Thanksgiving. We just bought a female Newfy last night. She's only eight weeks old. Her name is Bella and she is a wonderful addition to our family. Thanks for the video!
This was really astoundingly well made. You really captured the joy of Newfies in the snow and of love between man and dog. Please make more of you two!
Thank you for sharing. I lost my Newfie a while back. This was like I was seeing him as a young dog all over again! I have so many snow covered pics of him. Thank you for sharing. I am crying tears of sadness as well as joy!
Most videos I watch several minutes and go to the next one. This one I watched to the end. The puppy, scenery, camera work are great. I have a 3yr old and 6 month old Newfie. Also a 5yr old Saint. They do love the snow. I laughed because their hair is like velco and the snow just sticks. My favorite pictures I like to take are the black face covered with snow. Just great.
nice video, nice music and nice still shots!!, my 175 pound 5 year old still loves the snow. I can still remember playing in the snow for the first time with him. I was a great time.
I really enjoyed this ! We live in Nova Scotia Canada. My Newf is 135 pounds. Female. Her name is Nessie. She loves the snow. When she runs thru it, she scoops her nose into the snow. She runs crazy around the house ! So much fun and so much energy !!
I remember the first time I took my Arnold to Lake Tahoe to see snow for the first time. It was the happiest day of his life! I can totally relate and feel the joy all over again!
awsome i remember my first newf jaspers first trip in the snow was magical just like yours a wonderful moment like watching your child taking thier first steps truly a magical moment wish we had snow that deep in the uk though my two remaining newfs starlight and wellington would love it ! thankyou for making me smile and cry at the same time remembering our dearly loved loyal friend jasper who was taken from us three years ago wonderful vid :-)
What a wonderful heartwarming video, we took our Newfs for their first snow trip a month ago, unfortunatly it was the start of our season and there wasn't much snow except for the national parks where dogs aren't allowed. Better luck next year. Thanks for sharing.
Just seen this we own a Male Newfounland dog and I always am telling the wife that the snow and cold is actually "nice" for them. I am glad you had a great time!!!
Beautiful Newfie. Beautiful day. Beautiful video. It is obvious you and your guy love each other a lot and it was great of you to give him such a wonderful day. I miss my two guys so much I could cry. Lost them 7 years ago (both in the same year) and there isn't a day goes by that I don't think of them.
You are a good man. I had a Newfie who was without a doubt the best friend I ever had. This brought tears to my eyes remembering. I hope you two have a long and beautiful friendship.
Absolutely perfect memories....... brilliant film......in Québec we have it..... I mean the snow from December to May........ but in summer it is like Florida so we need Air con for the dog. My boy, who was a Lab/Rothweiler died this year...... so enjoy every minute of it. The only thing we did not offer Bruno was the sea...... too far....... but we do have zillions of lakes...... not the same.... we promised ourselves to take our next rescue to the sea...... but not able to rescue a dog as there is none to adopt because of Covid........hope we will be able to rescue another Lab/Rothweiler soon and next time we will take him or her to the sea.........you are the best friend your dog could have dreamed for.......... enjoy!
There's something really special about watching a puppy (or even an 'adult' dog) having the time of it's life in the snow. Some people say you shouldn't transfer human feelings onto animals because they don't really have them, but I think that's rubbish! You can't look at this and say the dog isn't happy! I'd love a Newfie, they seem such gentle creatures, but I travel so much with work so it's out of the question. So watching these gorgeous clips is the closet I'll get for a while...
Terry, I cried and smiled wide through most of this, as my own 10 1/2 yr-old newfie is now ailing. What magnificent, glorious creatures they are! Thank you for helping me to revisit my Chester's youth and zest for life.
I love this video so much. Always brings a smile to my face ! (and yet I get "teary" also.) Reminds so much of my girls. If it wasn't for my "situation" I would certainly have at least two by my side!
This was a really great video. The music was perfect for it as well. You've reminded me of when I was a kid and we took my big pup to the snow for the first time. He got out of the truck and just dove right into the snow and promptly disappeared. I was worried, but then he clambered out of the hole, turned right about, and jumped into another deep spot. He had so much fun! Thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love this video. I am in Israel and I had to leave my Newf, Teddy, at home. I am coming home in 3.5 weeks and I am BEYOND excited to be reunited with my other half. Home just in time for the Vermont winter.
This video is in my top 10 all time favorites on UA-cam - your dog is magnificent - and so is the scenery - what a wonderful thing you did - driving all that way so Tritan could enjoy his first romp in the snow. I adore this video. I watch it all the time - it always raises my spirits. Thank you.
Our precious Newfoundland, Luke, died three years ago from old age. We have not got over it enough to get another one. Your video of you and your wonderful dog brought tears to my eyes. I hope you are both well.
aristarchan1 sad to hear he died, we recently just got a newfoundland/German mix and he's so energetic in the snow and we have so much snow so its really fun to watch
Our last golden retriever died suddenly after I took her for a hike at the park. We were shocked to say the least. Even took some days off work that week. We got another golden retriever within a week. After looking back at the situation. Probably too soon. But he's three years old now and a great dog.
Terry, you are an amazing and talented videographer! I love all your videos and the Newfie of course, you all bring me a lot of joy! I miss my Newfie and really enjoy watching Titan. What a loving and devoted dog owner you are. Hope the two of you are doing well! Thanks again!
My hubby wants a Newfie. I'm not totally familiar with them and have been doing some "research". After seeing this beautiful video, I definitely want one! I can see what a wonderful companion he is. Beautiful and sweet -- brought tears to my eyes.
Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing. Ace my late Newfoundland loved the snow and loved to play in huge piles of leaves. Newfoundland’s are the greatest dogs and they are great family pets.
What a gorgeous lovable fellow. Pure Joy! Reminds me of my Newfie Buddy who absolutely loved plowing through the snow. I miss my old pal. I am getting two this time.
This was one of the most beautiful and heartwarming videos I've seen in a long time.... Thank you for sharing such a huge Moment in Triton's life with us all!!! He sure did love the snow :) Hope to see more... what a beautiful and amazing dog!!!!
Triton is gorgeous and it is such a great thing to see an owner so engaged with their pet. I'm adopting an adult newfie in 2 months but she's not as bear-like as Triton, so she won't have his grizzly cuteness. Plus, she's a brown one. Subscribed :)
The first time my newfie got into snow he was rolling around in it and stayed out there for a long time! When he came in his legs were covered in balls of ice and snow. He's adorable
Triton is a great name for a Newfoundland dog. There is a town in Newfoundland called Triton....I grew up not too far from it. Beautiful dog. If you've ever visited Newfoundland, you'd see why they love the snow and water. :)
Fantastic video. Completely made my day. It looks like you both had a fantastic day. Triton has a great personality for such a young Newf. He seems like a real character. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. 8)
I hate watching videos like this and then not being able to be there to give the dog a huge hug and kiss. Dogs are AWESOME animals, and this guy seems like no exception. Now going to check out the Puppy Bowl... :-)
AWWWW What a SWEET BOY!! He's SO Happy!!!! I love this video! I'm stupidly smiling the whole time! You have a lovely dog! I was just hiking through Idyllwild earlier this year and its really cool to see it all snowy white out there! I want to take my Aussie Shepherds to see the snow for the first time now too!!! Thanks for the fun video =D Cheered me up !

What a beautiful boy! We lost our "Orca" six months ago ... after 13 wonderful and amazing years. :,(
All the best to your Triton ...
He’s in heaven ! Those are such beautiful dogs !
This was really astoundingly well made. You really captured the joy of Newfies in the snow and of love between man and dog. Please make more of you two!
What an amazing environment to begin with, but with that dog? Absolutely amazing.
God bless ya for driving him up to the mountains just to play in the snow!
The bit where it's slowed down & he's running toward you- wonderful
That's the environment Newfies were bred for. He looks so happy. 😉🐶
He was like : BEST DAY EVAH!
Im getting a newfie this year... hopefully within 2 months.. cant wait!
What a great dog.. happy fun looking

olemann77 nice, ours is 4 1/2 months old currently and he already knows 7 commands, just goes to show how intelligent any dog can be, big or small
olemann77 I live in Minnesota and apparently they can go up to 1000 bucks. is that the same where you got yours?
Love it! Reminds me of when my Newf Jackson was just a pup. He's 6 now and STILL goes spastic each year with the new snow. :)
what a sweetie bear! i really miss my newfie...she always laid down and looked up or to the side at me with that gentle face :]
I miss my newfie but these still photos are so wonderful!
Thank you for sharing. I lost my Newfie a while back. This was like I was seeing him as a young dog all over again! I have so many snow covered pics of him. Thank you for sharing. I am crying tears of sadness as well as joy!
I had a Newfie when I was a kid, and I miss him a lot. Gentle giants.
A dude and his dog....Cant get any better than this. Nice story board, everything melts together. Good work.

A Newfie dog running full out at you is amazing and yet terrifying at the same time.
What a lovely video! I love watching my Newfs play in the snow!
A puppy in snow is probably the greatest thing to watch ever! Beautiful dog!
You are a good man. I had a Newfie who was without a doubt the best friend I ever had. This brought tears to my eyes remembering. I hope you two have a long and beautiful friendship.
who the fuck are the 40 people who downvoted this? I want to hug this dog so bad...
***** The minorities with really backwards views on life.
***** and when I saw minorities, I mean like..those of us who are just very skewed human beings. not different races.
+Shawn England Who can't love a Newf. I have a Landseer as a service dog and at the VA hospitals they call her the "Giant Magic Dog".
Tim DeWolf those are dead who disliked this video !

Aweee! Never is there a happier Newfie than a Newfie in the snow.
What a great video! Love the Newfies! Thank you for sharing.
Love this video!! Our newf is 12 now, and he used to frolick like Triton! Now he trundles like an old man, but still enjoys the snow! :)
And I bet he slept the entire way home ... Newfs are simply the best. Thanks for the video. A day to remember.
Enjoy him. I miss my Newfie girl so much. We had ten wonderful years with her.
Terry, I cried and smiled wide through most of this, as my own 10 1/2 yr-old newfie is now ailing. What magnificent, glorious creatures they are! Thank you for helping me to revisit my Chester's youth and zest for life.

Thats the right climate for that breed. One happy dog! Joyful to watch. ♥️
