    Thank you, found a fix from LSXmatt, saw the number one comment, then found your video... Seats work now, who knows how long they had not been working... Thank you!

    Thanks for posting the videos about how to fix. I have a 2008 Escalade with the same issue. I was about to take it back to the dealership when I saw your videos. Thanks again.

      No thanks for watching and I am glad I can help save you some money and you can get it fixed!

    Thanks for explaining the de-pinning. It's frustrating to "have to" solder or crimp all over them just to fix 1 or 2 (I have a Ford), yet that's the route 99% of people take, de-pinning the rest and only crimping or soldering those 2 is a much nicer solution. Glad it's easy on this connector.

    Great video and this is exactly what mine looks like right now. I'm going to try this fix but gonna get some help w/ the soldering. Wish you had shown that process and the result with doubling the power and grounds. Really great visuals...just need that missing part.

      Im glad you found the video and it helped out. Sorry I left the soldering out, sometimes I feel like that stuff is too boring to keep in the video

    To split the power and ground wire did you just take half of the strands of the original wire(either power or ground) and solder each half to a full wire of the new harness? Or did you combine the two new power/ground wires and solder them together into the single old power/ground wire?

    Thanks for the very nice and clear video. I have an 08 escalade esv, I don't see continuity between the two ground pins L and M. Pin L appears to be a dead pin or go elsewhere on the board I can't identify. I do see continuity between E and F so doubling the power inputs definitely works. But I suspect doubling the ground through L and M does nothing which is why Ford did not do it either? Did you have continuity between L and M?

    Do you have the Ford part number for that short repair harness with the wires going to the new plug

    Great video! Thanks for the help. The heated and cooling had stopped working in both seats. I followed the video and now the drivers works but still nothing on the passenger side. I’m not sure where I went wrong. Do you have any feedback on that situation?

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  21 день тому +1

      If it worked for the drivers I think that what I showed in the video worked. If the passenger still doesnt work I would look at the actual wiring that goes to the seat and see if there is any damage to it.

    My drivers seat bottom is the only part not working? Could it be the same connector? Or would all seats not heat if that connector goes?

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  3 місяці тому

      I would assume they all wouldn't work. That issue may be the connector or wires that go to the individual seat

    I have a Buick Lucerne with the same terminal. I understand what you're doing but which extra black wires goes to each power and ground? You didn't specify and just showed the finish product. Does it matter which 2nd black wire you use? Do I just use the top ones with one and the bottom ones with the other? Thanks. I did rewire as in your 1st video as I had the same burnt terminals but it only lasted about a year.

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Рік тому

      I showed in the video what to do with the two wires and I also posted the picture of Ford bulletin on the same thing. You should double up the power and double up the ground to be able to take the extra current.

    Looks like I have an identical issue, confirmed visually melted same as yours. Does this wiring come out when you remove the seat? I'm thinking this project would be easier if I just pull the seat.

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Рік тому

      No. The wires are part of the car so they come out of the floor. If the seat was out it would be easier because you would have all the access

    The pinout sheet only shows one ground connection. How did you come to the conclusion that there are two ground points available? Nice video.

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Рік тому

      The sheet shows you how terminal M has a ground but terminal L is not used. Terminal L would be the second ground location

    man i already had to resolder the pin into the motherboard of this computer, and repin the broken ground and power and get a new connector... just to have the ground BURN OUT AGAIN!, at least this time the motherboard is perfectly intact...this time im doing double ground...(mine already has double power for some reason). I don't know what trim mine is... its an 08 esv awd escalade with power running boards, but it has a corsa exhaust and a different front grill than every other gen 3 escalade i've ever seen. EDIT: my first repair lasted over 2 years before it burnt out, and main power wire looked like it had been snipped off...could have been my fault because that is one i had to repin and perhaps damaged the wire doing so.

    Where is the link for the module it’s self?

    Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me. When I turn on the ventilation or heat the module clicks once loudly, then after about 5 seconds it clicks again but not as loud. But other than that nothing happens 😔

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  2 роки тому

      It shouldn't have burned I'd you doubled everything up! It must be getting a lot of current

  • @KenWhitehead
    @KenWhitehead 11 місяців тому

    The module is the problem not the connectors. The module is drawing too much current causing the connectors to overheat and melt. You should have replaced the module the first time you repaired the connectors.

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  11 місяців тому +1

      Not correct. The module may be drawing too much current which melts the wires, but if you replace the module with another one it will draw the same exact current, and melt the wires again.

      Maybe that’s why he upgrades a new power and ground? Unless he’s just splicing and connecting both to the one ground and 1 power.

    • @ikonikhunter
      @ikonikhunter 3 місяці тому

      @@streetriderscustomsif that module is beginning to short then it will cause the excessive current, no?
