Well kinda but the real reason Britain used solid shot was because it was considered the most effective anti-tank ammunition at the time, offering superior penetration against enemy armor
If anything you should blame gaijin because they nerfed the hell out ap. aphe shouldn't be nearly as good as it is in the game in irl it rarely ever detonated especially when shipped overseas which was another reason why Britain never used the aphe in there tanks
@@BrenoAgmL is it so wrong to spread history to others nowadays besides I'm not stupid I very well knew he was being sarcastic so what does that make you 🧐
They should make a naval event with a massive whirlpool in the middle of the map that pulls you in so you have to fight players and you have to fight the whirlpool
Or for naval a sea monster and tanks get tsunami and they have to get to the high ground while they are fighting the enemy team and planes get a black hole in the middle of the map
I’ve been on the USS North Carolina before, inside her barbettes. There’s definitely a floor between the main ammunition stowage and the barbettes but there are dozens of 16-inch shells stacked in the barbettes for easy loading. Explosion of that size could easily travel down the ammo elevator and maybe through the floor and to the ammo down below.
You see, Shell rooms should not be detonting. The explosives of the shells are encased it solid steel and is stable enough to not sustain a chain reaction of individual shells detonting. The only way a shellroom should detonate is to let the whole room of shells cook in fire for a prolonged period of time.
@@Boromas_1i heard that somewhere as well. The shells are not that explosive irl, so shell rooms should not detonate easily. Fire causing detonate would make mote sense.

The major weakness of Barham is that most of her crew is placed outside of armored compartment leading to severe crew loss. Otherwise her magazine is excellently protected.
Warspite hit Cesare at roughly 24km, not 16km. 16km is pretty much standard engagement range. For example HMS Hood was sunk at approximately 16.5km range, during a turn to put more distance between it and Bismarck
@@h.m.s.belfast4047 problem with Scharnys hit is that the range is unconfirmed. Warspites hit is a confirmed ranging, so she holds more authority over the record. Some analysis of the above data points: In the three minute period between 1636 and 1639, the distance appears to have remained constant at 26,465 yds., or it may have decreased somewhat to 26,260 yds. For Scharnhorst to have hit Glorious at 1638, she must have fired no later than 1637 (allowing for a maximum flight/spot/reload time of 90 seconds and assuming that the times are rounded off to the nearest minute). Bottom line: It appears that the Scharnhorst hit the Glorious at about 26,465 yds. or slightly less. Given the level of uncertainty in the accuracy of the rangefinders used in the early war period, this is essentially the same distance reported for the Warspite striking the Guilio Cesare, 26,000 yds. I was so confused when this popped into my feed because I thought I already saw it. Turns out that what I saw was a sekret Dolla Dockumentary without War Thunder noises.
That had to be taken down after 20min of upload lol
the ACL-44, the French King Tiger calls
Why nobody talk about the thumbnail, it's so friking good
🤟
You missed that shot at 5:04 because you were bilging. Your guns were aimed a higher angle because your ship was angled. As you came back up, the guns weren't depressed enough for the accurate ranging
YOUR battle ship aim tips help me ALOT i went from 1 or 2 ships a game to 5+ and i can very easy line up the shots now thanks for tips!
Glad to hear it! 💪🏻
I am loving this faster upload rate, your videos are always entertaining dollar. Having watched all your videos in the past year I got used to your speech patterns so no subtitles needed. Top tier editing. Always a fun watch! Thank you for your hard work 🫡
Ain't a WT naval game without something being broken. Good stuff as always DOLLAR.
Unfortunately, that's very true...
Dancing on the edge Ahhh thumbnail 😅
Looks actually 🔥
play pr 1124 soviet armored gunboat at 2.0 , it feels like battleship at this br
13:22 i love this song , now with game sound is really better 🗿🔥💯
Would you do a "playing every Patton" episode? Really like the previous videos of panthers and Shermans
If you're willing to do so, maybe every tanks that developed from m48 or m60 can be counted in this episode, would be nice🎉
Did you forget about Sturer Emil's aphe.
It is pretty boomy too
4:07 HaHaHa LMFAO I'm Free
Gaijin's treatment of the British Naval trees is woeful.
Tiger be like : I'm a bird .
And when they do add more British ships, please for the love of god make the guns even little bit more accurate 😭 It's not like Warspite has longest confirmed hit on other naval target...
Yeah...british guns are least accurate in the entire game, you can simply not score any hits with perfectly aimed shot at like 8km.
The Lancaster came out and I got pumped to see you drop a 12,000lb bomb. Then it ended lol. More Lancaster please lol. Great video once again 👍
could you imagine The HMS Nelson in the game right now, it would be soo good, prob best ship in game, great armour and amazing guns
ah yes, I've been waiting for this reupload
WHAT I LEARNED FROM BOATING SCHOOL IS.....!
Gaijin likes not modeling stuff right. Also as of this comment can you do a video on the Sabra tank in israel as they didnt model armor in the new update. Thanks for keeping naval entertaining.
Hey Dollar,Another tank with a lot of HE filler in an APHE is the Strv m/42 EH
France is going to get the Dunkerque in the next update, one of the biggest battleship of ww2, the british were afraid of it when france surrendered to germany, fearing the germans would use it against them.
Meh..its easily sunk...hit the bow,citadel, and flanks..but remember she reposition's well.
Calling Dunkerque "one of the biggest" is delusional at best
Think the British were more scared of the Richelieus
Isn't it already ingame? I remember seeing it somewhere
Maybe you mean Richelieu? That's a dangerous cookie. Dunkerque wasn't that powerful. Built to counter German "pocket battleships"
13:21 when this song comes you know sh*t get real
Ismail sitting in corner with over 65kg of tnt in it's HE Shell:
Nice vid... but, WT naval is less exiting than watching corn flakes sinking in the bowl of milk....
Instantly tapped on the notification and liked, Mr. Betty. Love your vids ❤
I think it's time they add some more battleships with larger guns, like maybe Gneisenau with the 380mm, Project 69I, Colorado Class.
Damn, I clicked it before I even got the notification 😂😂
same
Hey dollar that was me you killed twice at the end, GhostOfKyiv 😂 I accidentally went back to hanger and then I recognized your name, I was so upset I couldn’t say hi
I was recently playing with 6.7 American ground, spawned T34, got snipper, spawned CAS, got deleted by an Ostwind, spawned Super Pershing snd got a Nuke
me : oh boy, new Dollar video
video : naval
me : nevermind
6:28 wait what
Gotta say... enjoying the new format.
Not bad not bad
Literally every single one of your videos makes me laugh. Youve literally (in my opinion) never dropped a bad video
Hey, I'm a british naval player
1°) Yes, we exist
2°) No, we do not have fun and most our ships are rubbish
3°) Where in the bloody hell is class King George V?!!!!
"British Lyddite-filled shells tended to explode upon striking armour, thus expending much of their energy outside the ship" so maybe not the best 30 kg of explosives
It is Dollar time!
If there is a Dollar vid, I will watch it before any other one
Honey wake up! Dollar uploaded a new WT Naval gameplay video 🎉🎉🎉
Ahh now the gameplay has sound, was wondering at first, but we will always love your videos, btw could you play the Pz.Sfl.Ic mini Tiger at Tiger 1 br ?
I'm not a naval player, but I still watch your every episode 😂
I hate playing naval(skill issues)
But watching Dollar play naval, improves my day
Makes me wish there was a d day mode where a couple ships get involved
see you reuploaded it because the game didn't have sound. that was interesting to listen to for a bit. but besides that. how about playing the PTZ89? I just got it and the gun already feels so fun too. :D
The fv4005 has half this explosive power and yet is unable to kill a tiger from the front apparently
Very gooooood vid mate!!!! Your vidéos are insane Dollar, thanks u !!!!!!
🫡
Hitting Tiger with naval gun, very much Dancing on the edge cinematic moment
2nd SS Panzer in Normandy moment right thar'.
Another very naval and joyful video , thank you mister dolla for doing this video with this much quality and making my day better❤
can't wait for the french dunqerque battleship video
aye at least the dunkuerque is coming tommorow, wooo she will hopefully be a very tough girl and hopefully the us gets its version of the nelson class soon as well.

It’s time to complain (so the complaining begun) I wasn’t expecting that I’m laughing 🤣 😂😂
This thumbnail is goated
i really want them to add in the uss missouri but the ww2 variant not when it was reoutfitted during the middle east conflict
I am patiently waiting for the Dunkerque video
THAT THUMBNAIL. How does he do it!
I just want the frickin Yamato already lol, she is a beauty! And while at it, most of the Austro-Hungary Navy from WW1!
Im hoping us fast battleships don't have the built in weakness
Perfect vid now for going to sleep
