With an empty glass jar and 4 yucca, you can make a yucca juice that helps with the heat… ✌🏼 Also POI,s like Shutgun Mesías, Pop and Pill, Crack a Book, etc, have zombies inside…
Hey glock quick tip on Alpha 15. Easy way to make money fast at the start of the game is with Cloth. Every shamway, shotgun messiah or any store / Building that has those huge sunshades at the doors, that gives you a TON of cloth. Each stack sells between 250$ to 500$. Sell them 1 by 1 instead of a full stack sell. Selling it 1 by 1 levels your bartering skills a lot. Good luck 👍🏼 Best items to Sell at the start are - Cloth - Animal fat - gun parts - Pain killers (Good $$$ every stack) - Stack of Oil
Ohh that puts me back in memory lane max out the trader and sell him stacks of cloth. I didn't buy everything just ammo, occasionally some furniture, food etc. go from rags to riches pretty literally
This is actually a very useful tip for console players. I remember grinding cloth back in the day just to sell it all for dukes lol. There are several poi’s that usually have some source for getting cloth and I would always make sure to gathering it all before leaving.
Hey Glock one important thing I want to mention before you get fully into this, you level your melee weapons and tools by actually crafting them in this Alpha. Basically you can get to level 200 by crafting and scrapping wooden clubs, so it'll make your spiked club much stronger eventually. Same with the stone axe.
I always keep a puffer coat and a poncho in my inventory and just switch back and forth when needed. Don’t have to worry about temperature changes after that
You can also build the 4 by 4 tub fill with water fill empty jar, it leaves a corner of the tub with water, scoop out water with bucket, pour back in and it FILLS the tub, rinse repeat infinite water.
Cans are for boiling water without a cooking pot, but you've found a Price is Right warehouse's worth of cooking pots in just two days, so youre good to scrap or snelt them.
Perishton is in the upper left quadrant of the map, and that isn't the snow biome that's the dried plains. It's like the desert biome complete with cacti but is significantly less useful resource wise as you can't get oilshale there. It's mostly dirt and rock with little trees to speak of and I don't think you can get tree seeds from the dried plains trees either. So your current negative insulation gear is probably the best fit for perishton. There is a small 2 story house made of cobblestone just outside of perishton if you go to the eastern entrance it's slightly east of the entrance past the bridge (going into the city) and then south of the road. It has a working forge readily available and is easily fortified and the angle you get with it being on a slight hill gives you a great vantage point for gunning down incoming zombies. If you follow the road that connects to the diner and gold mine due north it first leads to the burnt forest biome. It will be a hybrid biome with burnt being to the west and desert on the east of the road. When the desert to the east starts to turn to the burnt forest a bunker can be found there to the east off the road and still slightly in the desert portion. I don't believe it has a cement mixer like some of the other ones but it does have some valuable loot containers and mushrooms.
One thing I would say about old 7 days is that it feels a lot more like a real apocalypse. Whilst the current POIs are obviously more fun to get through and the graphics are way better, the old version where places are mostly empty and the loot is pretty terrible with no major pile of loot just feels more realistic to me.
Hey glock just wanted to say outta all the 7d2d youtubers you are absolutely the best. Love love love watching you. Me and the family watch on a daily basis and even binge watch your 7d2d series! Keep it up your great!!

It's got sweet loot and a vending machine to nab extra food and I found it makes a good horde base location if you build it off the second floor. Isn't it right next to the edge of the map tho?
@warriorwithin44 yes it's about 10 to 15 blocks away from the edge if I remember. I used it as a base and put a pit fall trap for hord night right in the middle of the parking lot.
@@robertmrobbins1815 I just put a boat load of log spikes around the bottom, barbed wire fences on the stairs and two sets of bars at the top of the stairs and just pole up to the second floor on frames. It's worked for me through the night 70 horde so far, though it probably helps that I've filled up all the first floor rooms with reinforced concrete blocks lol
Glock’s reaction to searching that trader was the same reaction I had when I first played the console version of sdtd; “What is this?! There’s nothing to search here!”😂
Need to save your leather for bellow to make a forge, which really opens the game up for you. You can sip on Yucca juice and get indoors to survive the desert, but forged iron is life
Great episode as always. I recall this version times dropped are not in bags, but are actually the items. So the box you destroyed by mistake had a can of food drop out of it. When you have hoard nights the zombie corpses despawn and drop the items too. I remember making hoard pit bases where you would be under them with half blocks above to let loot fall through.
I forgot about the smell mechanic! I wish they would bring it back, TBH. But I guess feral sense is kind of the replacement. Like, they can smell you, regardless of your inventory.
South of that Diner was the military base. That’s my base in most every playthrough. I build moat with trenches of spikes and reinforce it all. Drawbridges for all three directions and even have rebuilt the bridge to the south to the park station. It’s actually really fun. Memories.
Also currently playing A 15 on xbox X. Don't forget you can wrench work stations & collect them. Took me 18 days to find the minibike book . Fuck cornmeal!
I kinda miss the old houses that were emptier, I do love the new pois, just when every building is a poi it kind of is wierd. I liked project zomboids way of doing it, certain pois and the rest just general houses.
Bringing back memories Yeah that stun effect will kill you for sure if surrounded. You could condense several day into one eoisode for this play thru and it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Thanks Glock9.
The more arrows you make the more bow xp you get which means you can craft a better bow same thing with most of the weapons as you probably know it's learn by doing sorta thing.
I just recently started playing this and I’m loving learning it! I’m streaming Serum right now, but I’m looking forward to getting back to 7DTD here soon!
Hey glock, quick tip for melee is to aim higher since the actual crosshair is below the one on your screen. When aiming at their forehead you're hitting their torso so aim above their head.
Glock, you may or may not know, but you haevest cacti for yucca. And yes, you can still do it in A20 too. Also repair the clothing before selling. Most require cloth but u will get max value. And u make cloth armor without tape in this version. And a primitive leather armor without schematics. The animal hide armor
That stun effect was OP as hell. That, combined with missing an enemy over and over again even when stood right in front of it, made combat so frustrating but dangerous at the same time.
If you find any metals Stone clay or drunk that's made out of metal or lead don't scrap it wait until you get a forge because you get more by smelting it down you do keep the material in the forge but you have to wait a bit when you want to take it out
One thing I kinda miss are those challenges. They where a good XP source in early game and also got you a bit more to do than just running POIs over and over again. Don't know why they removed them.
Crafting and scraping tools and weapons will increase your lvl of that specific item and it will also slowly add experience points to your crafting and weapons so you don't have to use most of your skill points for your tools, right away atleast. When you need to upgrade further weapon skills, that's when you'll need to save up more of your skill points to get it to a certain tier making certain skills applicable together.
I also would like to mention if you find a weapon in the world as it is and you don't take it apart or apply different "higher tier" parts to that specific weapon it will lower the sell price because you've "effected its value"
Just a heads up before taking the work bench, combine the two wrenches you found which in alpha 15 increases to durability and quantity of weapons and equipment. So if you were to combine those wrenches, you'd probably get a quality 206.
Conserve any animal you can get your hands on and ammo because you going to need it also make sure you get a grill and a lot of eggs to increase your wellness
What we REALLY Need for 1.0 aside from building a whole base and all that jazz is a Cornmeal Only playthrough. Really solidify and celebrate 1.0 in pain!
